Well, this character was incredibly fun.

So fun that I played him while I neglected some reading and screwed up really, really bad on a mid-term test. Whoops!

Once it seems like playing CF is going to have some real negative consequences, it's time to stop playing. At least for a while. In fact, when I deleted, I was so distraught about that test that as attached to this character as I was, it didn't seem very hard.

As far as roleplaying, I started with an idea in my head that I just didn't execute well. The more I tried to scramble back to the image I had in my head, the further away I got. So I finally let go at some point and basically just went with the flow and dropped most of the character's planned intricacies.

For me, the characters that go according to plan are stressful to play but a frigging blast, but I always look forward to logging on with a solid-but-average character that packs a wallop.

And for the record, I never killed anyone I thought was link-dead. Which would explain why I'd poke or frown at anyone who didn't seem to be actively fighting back or running around shortly after I attacked.

Goodbyes:
OUTLANDER:
Thrugald - Probably my favorite fellow Outlander to talk with. Very interesting, very literary-esque. Great running around with you and talking smack about Alenysi.

Alenysi - I totally liked you when you were an applicant, but then your character became pretty bossy. I really liked watching you get into arguments with everyone, though. Obviously a good character all round. You just seemed to immort way quick.

Morasfenmire - Wakazula played off your evilness and just didn't take it very seriously. He just figured you had it rough and gave you room. It seemed to work because from what I saw Waka was like the only Outlander you never really picked on and didn't seem to completely hate... which is a good thing, because rams hurt svirfs.

Aeria - Thanks for the induct, and it was always great running around with you (even if the first times we went up against larger groups tended to end in tragedy). Great character and friend of Wak's... and you've been around for a damn long time. Heh.

Others: I'm kinda tired and I've been doing the reading I should have been doing before, so your names aren't coming to me immediately. Post and I'll try and reply maybe. You know I got love for you... Oh yea. You know I do.

TRIBUNAL:

Caroolth - Respect for you. We had some great fights and nice backs-and-forths. Drum sucks, but so does subvert...

Zhalindra - Yeah, you were a pain in the ass. I hated that echoes song, and you started making a lot more use of some of the underused bard powers that are really, REALLY goddamned annoying. It was always a treat fighting you. A treat made of thorns in my side.

Thmauddot (sp?) - Healer. I hate it when competent healers log on and single-handedly ruin it for me. Sorry about that group full-loot.

Ferrsaan - You were my unfinished business. I really wanted to get you, but once you got bloody shackles I knew I had to wait for the right time. Oh well. Hope you enjoy a long run before you get bored of Vindie.

OTHERS:

Imperials? Well, there weren't too many toward the end to really speak of. Of the fortress, there were a few paladins I'd pick on. I didn't hunt elves and humans and stuff as actively as dwarves. I really liked picking on dwarves.

Ysaloerye - Neat that you Imm'd. Happened kind of quick too, though. Wish you would have stuck around on the ground a little longer, though I might have gotten uninducted - we had a funny kind of mutual respect/rivalry that I don't know would have gone over well for long with the Outlander imms. But that last exchange right after you Imm'd, if you remember it, was pretty classic.

That's just about all I can remember at the moment. Already longer than I'd hoped. Anyway, have fun, and maybe see you all in a few months.

- Wak-job

Well, it's good you recognized the need to end Waka now as opposed to tragedy striking a month from now, heh. It was really nice to have someone to have lead me around to get eq and do stuff without all of the drama involved with some of the other characters.

Thanks for your kind words about my character. I had forgotten to mention it, but my Thrugald was originally based on the premise of the book All Men Are Mortal by Simone de Beauvoir.

The two easiest recallable memories I have of Waka was getting the Chromatic Whip and being annoyed that it had an evil aura so I couldn't use it. It looked like so much fun to watch you and Nethlin play with. The other would be during the Quest, me and you standing around looking at NPCs, Alenysi, and Morasfenmire among others and talking to ourselves about all the #### everyone was spewing

Good luck getting back on track.

Another one I'm more than happy to see go

Seriously, you were a good opponent, but once I got a bit of a chance to practice drum up some, it became a fair bit easier to fight you. The guards are quite nice to have around, definitely a good perk, except in the situation where they're busy trying to kill me instead of you

And yes, from someone who's been through University and nearly flunked out due to this addiction, well, go and deal with real life first...hopefully, there's a balance in there somewhere for you.

Well thanks for the compliments, though about the bossiness, she was allowed to be pretty damn demanding if need be. She hated being bossed around(but unfortunately she did not take her own advice), and the moment she started getting people going "Do this! Do that!" she got extremely irritated. And also, she didn't like to travel in groups for the most part, except in raids/retrievals(though she did do a fair about of ganging, but you know...I tried to avoid that). In an OOC perspective, I know the healer gets bossed around, so no big deal. I do apologize if you took any offense from her irritation, though I'll admit I had lots of fun arguing with people.

I thought, overall, you were a pretty solid character and made life so much easier when it comes to retrieving/raiding/etc. And thanks for the ranking before I was inducted(for whatever reason, when I was ranking, I could take demands much better, but meh, whatever). Oh and about the imming, I think I had almost 300 hours, not too quick, I just play like 40 hours a week Anyway, come back soon! And good luck!

I knew there'd be some fun at the spire whenever you were on and it made actually raiding a whole lot more feasible. I was hoping that one of these days I'd level up enough to get some of the more fun bard songs to use in raids that would've been even more fun.

But, study up! The classes are way more important than the game and given the kind of PC you had, I've no doubt you can jump right back in when you have the time.

Yeah, sorry for not mentioning you. You were fun and competent and generally made things easier for me. It was nice having an out-of-range someone to provide a little bit of healing and some bard boosts.

You'll get those fun bard songs one day, and I'll feel bad for the Tribs when you do.

I dont think I ever got to speak to you. The fights were nasty though. Tough lil bugger I will admit. Also, you dont sit around. I knew if you were in lands, you would be rushing the towns, picking off weaklings, turning guards, and generally making my life more interesting.

Can get dull at times on patrol, and its nice to have some enemies.

That large group fight at the Spire, I had hoped to get pick off the Ram who only needed a round or two, and then word out. I walked in and the inner died just then. I found myself fighting all of you, and it was quite painful. I think my resistance to lighting fell at that moment too which didnt help with your axe. Id been cooped up without a decent fight for so long, I was about to wuss out and avoid the one sided conflict.

It was fun. Come back when you have time.

I knew once I became Vindicator I'd have the upperhand in most of our fights to come, seeing how you were almost exclusively wanted. You were tough as nails the times I did fight you, and really pushed me to th edge. Here is a prime of example of a very close fight that could have gone either way for us. It doesn't get much better, so thanks for that.

Well, that was part of it. Plus you were another svirf warrior, just on the opposite side, so that made it even more angering I didn't get you that time. And I was kicking myself. I did the whirl to get you writhing so I could try a disembowel, but if I would have just pincered twice, I probably would have killed you. Geh.

Anyway, it was fun.
