When I stagnated at rank 37 because every time I got near 38 I mob-died I knew it was time to put it down. I think I died 5 times to mobs at rank 37. If it wasn't 5, it felt like 5.
With a dissertation deadline looming on the horizon it's time to buckle down and wrap it up. I'll be taking somewhat of a hiatus. Could be a short one, could be a long, could be an infinite one.
Thank you to whoever empowered me and to all those who gave me the little exp boosts and recognition along the way. It's what kept me going rather than deleting for the longest time. I was surprised how much ass can be whipped with an honor-bound elf paladin. It started to get dicey past 35th, but fools got they ass whipped in the 20s.
Anyways, my last hiatus led to Gumbldink. Maybe this one will see me on the imms' list of memorable characters as well

and if I thought I could do it without it becoming clear who the player behind the character was I'd play a dwarf follower of yours character after character.

You had my utmost resoect for what went on at the fort outer guardian not so long ago. It is good to see ppl stick to belief over cabal wars.

In retrospect, I actually didn't handle that the way I should have. Handling it according to role, however, would have been really difficult to justify and that fact is leading me to believe that REALLY doing the honor role means not being in a cabal.
What I mean is that the guy that died at the outer was fighting the Maran and two PCs. Ideally, IMHO, I would have attacked you immediately which would have made it 3 on 2 but also would have put me in the precarious position of attacking the guy who was attacking the guy who was attacking the Maran outer. Instead I watched him die a dishonorable death and then attacked you immediately following.
Oh well. The Honor role is probably one I'll try again in the future, but I might have to avoid being caballed when I do it which would be REALLY lonely.

but he was not on his own, his groupmate fled after I was fighting both of them for a short time. I was more referring to the fact that I aided against them in defense of the fortress but as an evil I was waiting for an attack from a maran-type and was glad when it happened. I was unaware of your honourbound role.
