Someone attacks your group and you are autoassisting, so be it, you likely won't be booted from the village, as long as the villagers aren't initiating the assault.

However, personally, and this is just a personal opinion, not a rule... a villager should never have autoassist on unless he's in the middle of ranking, or raiding. That's just my opinion.

The situation above isn't a violation of the Battle cabal, but it's not what a proud villager would be doing. As imms, if we see that over and over from players, we know it's more than just coincidence. As players, you should realize that as well. If I were a villager, and I saw questionable behavior over and over from another villager, I'd take them to the circle. But that's just my opinion.

I think you could be wrong. If Kjelror were autoassisting, there would not be a yell when he pincers Tolchec. Further evidence is that during the first round of combat when Tolchec can still see, Kjelror is not even there. It seems unlikely that he'd have a round of combat with no attacks.

Then again, I've been known to put my foot in my mouth before.

Speaking of feet in mouth. It looks like the ragers could easily be expecting a 2 on 2 fight.

He walked into that beat down. No one initiates a pk and then types 'equip'. If the public wants a legitimate gripe, then gripe about the 500hp deathblow in a 2v1.

I'm firmly of the mindset that Tolchec foreshadowed the outcome of the villager's reactions for the sake of posting this log. Granted, I do agree that the village standards are rather cowardly in general, but that's another tangent unworthy of my time.

If you attack a group of Battle, you deserve whatever you get. What you're looking at right there would have been okay by Cador back in the day if Kjelror and Ghrulkar had been members of the Knight cabal.

The Battle code of conduct is meant to create a game in which a horde of Battle don't run around trying to find and gang you. It does not protect you from your own stupidity. It does not protect you if you choose to take the fight to them.

Again, I use the same disclaimer as Nep above. I am not currently, and have not ever been, a Battle imm....so take my judgement with a grain of salt.

I've always felt that anyone who jumps a group of more than 1 and assumes that because of some code they're going to be fighting a one on one battle is an idiot. I'm not saying don't do it. Hell I applaud people who jump large groups....it's ballsy, it's fun, and it makes you a stand out in the world of gankernomics. HOWEVER...if you jump a guy and two of his friends expect that his friends are going to open up a can of whoop ass on you as well. To quote from Ron 'Tater Salad' White "I didn't know how many of 'em it was gonna take to kick my ass. But I knew how many they were gonna use" I'm not the best CF pk strategist...but even I can tell you that assumptions of any nature will get you dead quick. In this case, and if I'm wrong Battleimms chime in here, it's almost poor roleplay for two ragers *not* to assist thier brother when he gets jumped by an outsider. Now if it's a duel or some otherwise preplanned rumble...different story. However in most cases...I'll say it once again...if you jump someone and they have friends standing around with them, expect to be hit by everyone standing there.
