Well it was a blast, and the fact that I didn't rage delete before this was a miracle.

Good ole Abbalahdoon:
I made him as just a fun character to mess around with. Duergar warriors rock at low ranks and I got off to a phenomenal start. Then I hit the late 30's and had to deal with non-stop rager gangs and wrathing Paladins. If it wasn't for Deathblows and Wraths I would have lived a long life Of course these are things you can't avoid as a Scion. While Abbalahdoon was fun, he was going nowhere fast, no role, con dropping fast, and a warrior Scion is always going to get beat down at hero ranks.

Scion: I'd really like to see the Scion evolve into something, I see the potential. It needs a huge revamp(and I don't just mean powers) to reach that though. First off, Scion right now is 75% newbies or morons. Using the ritual of the night as an excuse to give the cabal shitty powers really stinks. I'll take one skilled person with Rager powers verses 10 newbies with nightfist. Nightwalkers have been toned down so much it's sad. Scion is vastly outnumbered, outpowered, and outskilled by it's enemies.

High Chancellors - Interacted abit with both of you, both seemed to have solid RP, but when it came to PK it seemed you avoided it. If you guys weren't going to defend, I felt why should I.
Phaistus - knew you as both personas, you rock! With you were around I knew there was someone who I could rely on, and one of the few who really help the younger Scions.
Niwwyshk - Never could spell your name right, good to have a reliable arcane around, good luck.
Scion Immortals-? Where the hell are you guys, I think I saw you twice in both these characters lives. I know your both dedicated and two of the better Imms, so what's the deal? After Iillien's note I kept expecting something big, but nothing.

Ragers: Ahhh Ragers, The reason I pulled my hair out so much. I respected half of you, and was disgusted by the other half. I returned gear at first, until it came clear that for the most part I was going to get full looted. I had to laugh when you guys bitched I had my Nightwalker, compared to your DB/resist/Bloodthirst? You guys were joking right? Yes I could have played it safe and only went after you guys prepped to the gills and well geared, but I can't play a warrior like that for long. So I'd get creamed alot. Hiding and biding my time is boring to me, I really miss the good old days when most people were balls to the walls all the time. Yuber, Arkady, Hralleth, Grunch, Grozbem, Karthyle had some good fights. Brothers J, I wasn't impressed at all.

Paladins:My other headache. It seems like every single paladin is a maran, or maranlike. It would be so refreshing to meet one that had honor and respected the laws. My one other gripe is that any power that can unspeak someone, curse them, and allow you to track them all in one shot should at least have a two round lag.

Warriors in General: I wish I saved my skill list. I had not a single thing perfected except flourintine. I tanked 90% of this characters life and always mobs that where razor and my parry and dodge were only like 91. I know I was playing a duergar with low int, but this new practice system definatly needs to be tweeked some more. I'm not saying get rid of it, just that it shouldn't be this hard and time consuming. Took alot of fun out of being a warrior. I must have flurried 5,000 times and it was only at 81 %. People may have complained I bashed too much, but warrior skills are so unreliable as it is, with them in the 70's it wasn't worth it to use anything I didn't have in the high 80's in PK. Would be real nice if warriors got a small boost near hero.

I know I forgot a ton of people, but such is life. No more warriors for a while....

P.S. If any Imms could email me my Pk record at Happyorb@hotmail.com I'd be very appreciative.

I'm on a good deal, but often not visible. I tend to respond to prays and similar means of getting my attention promptly. I watched you several times (most recently on a very long raid against the Fort with Temperaleai defending, and a lot of Scions not really helping you). However, you kept a very low profile in general- no role, not overly talkative, never prayed. In a cabal of ~80-100 people, I just don't have the time to work 1-on-1 with every Scion, so I tend to stick with people who give me something to go off of.

Paladins:My other headache.

Well, as a duergar warrior, that's about your worst matchup. Actually, if I had to design a character who would be pretty solid in general, but have trouble with paladins, it might be a duergar sword spec.

As an analogy, if an elf thief said "duergar flail/sword specs are hard for me to beat"... they might be right, but it doesn't mean duergar flail/sword specs are invincible. Every character has good and bad matchups.

Warriors in General: I wish I saved my skill list. I had not a single thing perfected except flourintine.

I don't know your exact PK ratio, but I remember you had a bunch more wins than losses. Once you delete, the records are gone so we won't know exactly. Anyway, if you didn't have 100's in everything (playing a low-int character), and you still won a lot of fights, maybe the 91 parry and such isn't so important.

It wasn't so much that I was dissapointed in one on one immteraction, it was more that I never even heard anything over the CB. And from when I played other Scions, you were pretty talkative, just curious why it's been so quiet from you guys up there, especially at a time when we are getting our collective butts kicked by the Ragers/Marans. A little pep talk would have went a long way.
As for my mini-paladin rant, I wasn't so much complaining that I had a hard time with them, I expected that with a duergar. It was just some venting from the many times I had been winning a battle against one and I'd miss a bash, then they bust off two quick wraths and I lose.
As for the skills complaint, it wasn't that I didn't have all 100's across the board. My skills weren't even in the high 80's. I mean these are skills I used constantly from the time I got them, ranking on bared teeth to hooded mobs and they went up maybe a point every couple hundred uses. I even went so far as to spar with other Scions, and even then most of my skills never even hit the 85% mark. While I think I had a pretty good record for a warrior, almost every fight I lost that wasn't because I screwed up, was because my skills failed two or three times in a row. It just seems that veteran warriors (40's) shouldn't have such a hard time practicing, it's hard enough being a hero level warrior, without having to practice on Tiamat just to get shieldblock to go up at a decent rate. While I totally agree fighting 100 kobolds to become a perfect swordmaster at level 15 is ridiculous, at higher ranks it makes little sense. I would think that while at hero, elite elven guards con as kill with a little finger, I would still be able to learn how to block with a shield by fighting five of them at once at a decent rate. Maybe relax the consider restrictions in learning when you reach your 40's. Would you get people power ranking to 40 then practicing, sure. But it's going to be alot tougher finding an out of the way spot, with all the birdies, conjurers, ect. looking for you. This is the second warrior I've played post practice change. I found that the annoyance of trying to get my second spec skills to go up to a decent level killed alot of the fun for me.

Well I still believe you have great things planned for the Scion. I just hope you move it away from being a newbie cabal, or at least setting up different tiers in it so the more skilled RP'ers and Pk'ers are encouraged to join and not delete.
I'm sure I'll probably be aiding the night again in one form or another.

I actually ranked with you as Thade way back when. And I always kind of looked out for you when I was logged on because I thought you were a pretty skilled player. And right after I saw Abbalahdoon croak and then you log in and out right away I figured out you were both chars and got kind bummed.

At first when I saw Abbalahdoons name I thought "Aw Hell, another wierd and long named person I need to try and type fast for" but then I figured out the rythm of your name and it became quite a snap. Heh Oh well good luck with your next character.
