#35563, "So ends my warrior experiment...."
|
Vargblot was an attempt to learn warriors better. In the past i have played mostly different priest classes, and wanted to try something new. All in all it was a good journey. More and more stuff started to irritate me at the end though, so i just deleted.
Race: Svirf. Wanted to try a pincersvirf which had impressed me in fights before. Specs: Axe and whip. Pincer seemed to miss a lot more in the end. Especially against certain mobs, probably a part of the large outlander communist conspiracy . Legacies: Autumn Harvest og Soul of Mountain. Perfect. I was walking around with 1500+ hp and tanking well with my axes.
Goodbyes: I interacted with so many that it is impossible to mention everyone. Post and i will reply. Imms: Marmaanth- thanks for the pats on the back and vindicator.
Tribunal: There is no end to the complaining magistrates gets for trying their very best to do a hard job. If they do ONE mistake they are demoted to a fun place like Seantryn ( could be for innocent things like not turning off autoassist). Most go through the chars life without any power usable outside the cities. I never hear such #### as the ones who claim that tribbies are overpowered. Due to experience i luckily avoided the common mistakes and prospered. I liked all of the magistrates..except Stry the catbastard . Gordath- Keep trucking. You are a likeable fellow and there was a few places i should have shown you, but never got around to. Flix- My travelling companion. Said my goodbyes to you in person. Good luck with everything. Mela- Princess, i hope you manage to find what you know before its to late. A nice char which shows love for her cabal. Tasild, Tolchec, Fal and Arech- Good luck.
Outlanders: My favorite enemies. Was never disappointed and was impressed by several of you. Aesira- i hated fighting your porc, and it was always dangerous targetting some of your friends in case they fled and you took the front. It seems you have much going, and i wish you luck. Drahke- Excellent fights. Unfortunately for you it seemed like Varg was born to fight you. You still showed up, and get mad props for that. Parantl and Reggie- I remember speaking to Parantl about how i saw Reggie improving. It will be troublesome years for the Spire if you two stay allive. Fire Shaman- Good talks and annoying withers .
Village: A few excellent chars and a few whom should have been booted a long time ago. Clearly in need of leadership, but as are other cabals. I had great fights with many of you. Special props go to Jeha. I see good things coming to you.
Fortress: previndicator i was often assisting the marans retrieving and such. I liked the fortress better than imperials, but in the end it had changed. Iramath- a class act. A good leader and fighter. Glad we did not fight more than needed. Rilliana- nothing personal. Vargblot just saw you aid the outlanders so often that he just considered you as an enemy of the Spire. Heas- Did not see you much at the end, but in our youth i think we got along well. Before you became hardened. Do you remember when i had bought that pet monkey? I named it Ceiekalek (name on the current emperor at the time)- You were spamming pincer Ceie and just brutalized the monkey then continued on me with your group assisting as well. Heh...i never did that mistake again. For the imms...naming pets with charnames should be prohibited as it can be abused i guess.
Props to other players: Chancellor- well roleplayed. Desmonn- Still owe you for that axe. Guess i am one of the few who ends up in + after dealing with you. Joselito- Many fights. Lots of dancing. All fun. Asfas- The little i saw of you was impressing.
Signing out.... Vargblot

I'm sad to see you go, but I think you knew that.
You were a 'bad' man in my eyes, I would have hated to be a criminal with you around. You were rentless and you knew what you were doing. I was dizzy after that last time following you around hunting those criminals. I was going to pray to the Imms after that to add relentless to your title. It was nice to have somebody around who made criminals "disappear" when you were around. Though it did get boring at times for that reason.

I loved fighting you, you were one tough cookie and really seemed to know what you were doing. But the best thing I liked about your character was your willingness to come to the Tree. Some tribs seem to assume that there are thousands of outlanders crawling behind every leaf and so rarely come. But it seemed to me that if there was any doubt in your mind you'd always come and give the Huntress a spank to see. It got to the point where the second I'd see you logged on I'd know you were coming. That's a real class act and made for a lot of fun fights! Good luck in your next.

Or its too early for me to read, one or the other. I'm not an axe spec, and I don't think we ever fought Cei together.
I did enjoy my talks with Vargblot at the end, and I think as a Vindicator you did well. There seems to be this vindicatoritus that you didn't suffer from. The symptoms of vindicatoritus are boasting about how great you are, telling everyone else how much they suck, and then deleting with fewer pks than a herald healer. I'm glad you never contracted the disease.
Good luck with the next!

I can't remember you ever logging on without taking the fetish or dying in an attempt, if the outlanders had it.
Thanks for taking the time to interview me just after interviewing Masakazu and thanks for the advice you gave from time to time. It won't be the same coming back to find Vargblot gone.

I'd almost take that as a insult, But eh, feel free to roll a villager and challenge me for leadership. Currently my pc is dead, and I'm without a job, so... I think finding a job is more important than wasting what little time I do have fixing my pc with my dwindling funds. I kinda liked Vargblot Iborenn just found you weak for your heavy reliance on gear and preps, but otherwise he respected your willingness to fight him alone even when I was pounding on you sanc'ed and hasted, * I think you could have tried improving your tactics a bit. * As well as your sense of duty * You kept coming after me and others even when you where half naked or unprepped * Props I'll post the logs if I can ever get my Pc working again =( Bad leadership Pfft

From all the fights i had with Vargblot you were the only one who would defeat me solo repeatedly, not many deaths though. And that was without the flee-bandages trick. Well done on that. From previous i know you play a solid villager, and you have no way to control what your villagers do all the time nor should you trust others above the word from your soldiers. What i missed was some Immortal notifying you or taking care of business whenever they snooped the bad eggs. Its not difficult to incorporate that in some roleplay and make it a fine thing for the involved villager as well. I could be wrong though, but it happened often.

Iron axes + pincer vs. elf = nasty for the elf.
I can understand not getting an honorable mention in your posting. Truth is, I could rarely put up a fight against you unless someone else was taking front. I did try plenty enough times, even against bad odds, and more than half the time ended up dying to nasty pincers. I hope I provided to be enough of an annoyance to you to at least be somewhat wary of me. I str dropped your axes a couple of times, so it was a major relief to see that you didn't have fist as one of your legacies. You always proved to be the one trib I would consistently avoid if I had the chance, or would attack last if I was fighting a group of tribs at the Spirit. Good luck with your next.

You are a dedicated warrior. I remember you coming to retrieve in your youth alone and poorly dressed. It took you like 20 minutes to slay the captain and i took the fetish back in 4 minutes. And you came at it again. I used mostly adamantite axes as they are the lightest i find. Kept dropping them though, so whip as second spec was nice. You seem a bit frail, so get Drahke to show you all his secret preps . Its no fun to be gushing after the first pincer. Good luck !

Liked your char. Never quite felt tribunals like allies, yet you was the one I cared about even more then some imperials. Liked you always ready to rush to the Outlanders even when just two of us. And damn, we always had a good battles with them together. Well played and good luck with the next!

Well, I appreciate you saw Reggie "getting better" I hope it means a lot that i really really really wanted to kill you and never could quite finish it. I'm frustrated you are gone, but a bit relieved as you were definately tough, its a mixed bag of feelings. Anyway, great job, good luck with the next!

You deserved vindicator. You showed a lot of initiative. We all make mistakes, but I didn't witness any bad mistakes on your part. I agree with your assessment of Drahke vs. Vargblot. Unless I happened to have reduce or backup it was close to suicide to fight you. But as a player I just hate waiting. I guess it seeps over into my characters *sigh* I still kick myself for not waiting a bit more in our last fight. Patience is indeed a virture
Have fun with your next.

That really hurts. You were a great player and a tough as hell little svirf and the Spire is really going to miss your presence. I'll probably have more to say when I'm dead and gone, but all and all, fearsome character. Too bad we didn't get to hang around together more, it seemed that our times often didn't match up.

From the helpfile on pets:
Purchased allies can be named at the time of purchasing. Simply type the name you want while buying them (i.e. 'buy bunny floofi'). Do not name them after other players, whether they are logged on or not.
As for the other things, I didn't interact with you, but can sympathize with your comments about the thankless job of being a Trib.
Good luck with your next!

I will give you some rest and tell you I have what I need so that's good, I just haven't finished the process yet. I'm sorry I wasn't around more before you decided to go. One, I only get on for a short time everyday... well because I've been patiently waiting for that last thing. Two, I just started working a new job that has evening/night shift hours and it just take out a huge part of my playing time between new sleeping and working hours. I loved Varg... I wouldn't mind sending you an e-mail if you don't mind. We had some really great rp sessions. One thing I have loved about Tribunal, is all the fun. And your char really helped with that fun. *wink* Good luck with the next.

Of course i remember your shifter. A shame you deleted as you were always willing to make things happen. I do think i remember some other shifter you had as well. A long time ago did you not play an orangutan-fortress??? I had an osprey-ram that kept swooping down on you .

Hated when you'd come to the fort though because we weren't really enemies. Thanks for giving me the chance to prove myself innocent after that one faulty warrant. Turns out I mob died on accident before I even sent anything to the spire so I didn't even bother with it. Overall it was fun, and those manacles were demolishing the hell out of me the one time I got to wear them. Man do those sucks . No hard feelings about yesterday I hope, we had a lot of #### going down at the time and we needed our healer badly. Plus you can't expect cabalmates to give in and let you kill one of their own unless its the criminals wishes. You were pretty relentless from everything I saw and you did a good job. Good luck on whatever is next for you.
