...is that people like you who roleplayed absolutely no aversion to magic manage to get themselves inducted into the village within hours of travelling with mages while in the 30th rank or so.
Oh, and incidentally, I did my utmost within my role to get you to run from our group the last time we spoke. If some scion is telling you to "leave now before the great mage gets angry" and tells you he can't save you if you don't, that's usually a good hint to get out of there. At least that conjie had the decency to forbid us from assisting him in his fight against you.

You obviously know nothing of the character I played to make the assumption that my roleplaying was not condusive to joining the Village. Mahkhan was an assassin who realized the truth of magic after numerous run-ins with the Scions, and from the day he made the decision not to, Mahkhan used not one trace of magic. Now that that is finished...
This was my first Rager, and I have to say that the experience was very rewarding, mainly to the wonderful job that Intronan did. His roleplaying is excellent, and really inspired me to try a little harder with my own. This was also the first character that got anywhere near the Hero rank, and perhaps one day I will actually make it. With a new job in RL, I had to cut back my playing time a great deal and I didn't think it fair to the village to be around so infrequently.
Thanks you all you villagers who made it worth the while, namely Grolgthus and Nerylana. There were too many great folks to name them all.
I'll be back with a new character soon enough, the addiction I've developed for carrion fields is much too strong to be overcome by anything short of broken fingers.

If the background checks of the village are so poor that I and a mage travelled with you one day, and the next time I'm on (which was a couple of days later) you are a rager, it suggests that they did not realise you were in the habit of travelling with mages so recently.
Perhaps your character really did undergo a change of heart, but they didn't make you demonstrate it for very long. Even if you weren't pulling the wool over their eyes, others could.
Letting people off so easily for accepting magic in their past could encourage people to use yellow flowers and the like, knowing they can stop it at a later stage in their life.

does a change of heart have to take a few weeks irl? When if you play long enough in that span of a few days..you go through a few weeks, maybe months in game. I think you should think about it a bit before you write, or at least ask, and not accuse people of stupidity or incompetence.

I knew you were relatively new... guess it was your first villager at least. But... so what... I liked most of what I saw, you roleplayed well... as for using magic in your prior life... I either didn't know, or knew you were past it... I forget. Glad you enjoyed yourself... that's really what it's all about. I'm more than willing to give a newbie a chance to enjoy themselves... I mean... that's how we all eventually learn to love the game... trying new things, and meeting others and saying hey... I can be that good... and improving with each character. Good luck, I think you'll do fine with you next.

Ha! But I got singled out! Damn man, this is going to bum me out beyond measure. If it wasn't for the fact that I'll be dead REAL soon, I'd have to roleplay a huge mourning period for Misser Pussyhead. God this bums me out, but I'm glad I could help make your CF experience a little more fun. When I die I'll post my email addy, and you can drop me a line anytime.
