I'll miss you from the standpoint of we'll never get to have a proper fight. I always tried to stay away because even if you were still around today you'd still have 7 ranks on me. Just suicide to go up against. You are truly one of the only scions that actually scared me. With duo it was like "good god, is he still here? is he in town? is he waiting to blast me if I step out?". You were well played, and definitely a force to be reckoned with from the arcane side. I just FINALLY lost the ring of regeneration that I stole from you before. Padgett assassinated me.

Anyway I know how real life is. I had to give up cf for a while, finish my teaching degree, and get a job. Hey in the mean time I got married, and got a house too *whoo!* anyway....
I just wish you the best, and hope you find the time to play again, or just drop by the board to say "hi".

If I could reach you I would strangle your little bug neck for deleting. I like to read other's descriptions instead of just seeing what gear they have, so when I looked at you I thought " That's damned intresting...lets see where we can go with this". I knew you were a skilled player by your game knowledge and your ability to gear, but it was the chance to roleplay that kept me about you. Your notes were short, often making me laugh with their directness, and showing me the value of the pen skill. There was hope of watching where your role would take you after we finished our current tasks. Your chittering will be missed. After reading the other posts I find it odd how so many differing opinions can be formed of one character, know that mine was good. Once again I owe you a foot up the rear for deleting.

P.S. For some odd reason when you were about I kept picturing that bug from space ghost....I grinned most of our sessions. Take it easy and I will see ya in the fields.

You can play CF to be evil, and not play CF to try and ruin another's idea of fun. Valguarnera was a prime example of this.

The example of killing someone and then finding their pit and immediately taking advantage of using Gill Growth to asphyxiate them and kill them a second time while out of PK range is, in my opinion, very poor playing. Isn't once every 15 minutes or so enough for you?

Mesernyk is a scion, scions are evil. If you are going to wait at the pit and someone is there who is your sworn enemy, maybe you shouldnt go back to pit until the 15 minutes are up. Furthermore, I have had lightwalkers try and do this to my scion char. Deal with it.

He just reminds me of a boxer that keeps hitting his opponent long after the bell has rung and he was proclaimed the winner of the fight. Sour taste in my mouth.

I liked your char, but GOD DAMN you could frustrate the hell outta me sometimes. You would be in sanctuary and be in perfect health and you would still sometimes tug at my robe.

You were the first mage to induct me into scion the first time and overall I thought you did a swell job. I always knew we had the upperhand no matter what the odds as long as you were there. The duo arcane is such an ace up the sleeve.

Now that I know you were Ultoiup also I have just one suggestion to you. Do you have to play so balls to the wall? I mean you would jump into any fight at almost any given time with me chasing you around trying to sanc you. If you used just A BIT of discreation I think your pk ratio would be at least 10 points higher. Oh well

When I play I play to win, It has been a while (empire times) Since I played a powerhouse char. And thats what I wanted out of Mesernyk, to charge into groups of 3 (now that I found protections!) And utterly kick some farkin arse! Usually when i tugged on you, sanc was dropping in an hour hehe =P If I played a evil conjie now with what I know, I think I'de give Jhyrbian a run for his money.

Well, can't say I am sad to see you go *grin*. You just being about half the time stopped me from being able to do anything. For what it's worth, from my perspective, he is one of the few scions I can see who ventures out of the chasm "on his own" with relative frequency. The rest of you seemed to be grouped much of the time. Not that that's a bad thing, but imho it speaks especially well of Brotmin.

Hmm. How to respond. I'm not a warlock, first of all. Though, I must say I dearly missed counterspell during our fights. I saw Mesernyk as my nemesis, so you know, along with a couple of others who I've died to. It's so much more fun to "get revenge" on someone than to kill a person you've never met before.

My death to you and Deuras at the chasm...what a screwup on my part. When I flew down it was just Nkhirath with two warlocks raiding. By the time I got there, warlocks were retreating and you and Deuras had arrived. I tell you this, that's the last time I fight an arcane without protections. In case you were curious, the UNSPEAK you landed was for 600hp.

The fortress death...hah. Serves you right for IRCing. If I remember correctly, you were pounding on some healer. To be honest, that scenario seemed like my only chance to kill you: catch you by surprise while you're spamming, or already wounded. At least it seemed that way. Shifter vs. arcane is just rough. The insane damage on your spells, my inability to lag you, and the fact that you can just flee/duo or word out of combat if things don't go your way. I rather count it as a victory that you found me "annoying".

I'll post some logs when I die. One question, though. When you had me trapped in Kteng's, one of the things I considered doing was giving some of my gear a mob in that room, then running out and dying. At that point I had no idea where to recall from, since it was my first trip there. Had I done this, would you have thought to locate my stuff, or would you have just assumed I sacrificed it? Just something I wondered about, after I'd calmed down enough to allow rational thought.

I really hope not, at least not right away. I think its time for the cabal to have an enema and wash away all the people who are only on for 5 mins a week, only in it for the eq, and who never defend against big numbers. I think the cabal is in for some changes VERY shortly, and I can't see them being anything but good for the cabal.

As for ganging, I've never been one to gang, so I don't really see much of it, unless I'm on the wrong end of the gang. If thats what we're talking about, I see all too much of that. If Ragers are doing it, IMHO they should get the boot. It's stupid and makes you look weak when you run around with 2 others, spamming bash on one mage.

Never saw you (personally) without 2 or 3 others with you....but from your logs I guess you did...Must have been rarities.

And never did I see a "group" attack on you where you beat them back. You just popped out while one rager was fighting two scions and just "disrupte bone";!;!;!;!;!;! Look familiar? *snore*
In fact I cannot count how many times I didn't even do a big backstab on you, like two demolishes, and you up and recall. You never risked yourself, did anything amazing, just "if you didn't outnumber", you recalled. Boy did I love it when you got assassinated, we had you set up for a long time for that assassinate. Its not luck, its called planning. Manarei be a great assassin, and you were just being stupid and got assassinated when it could have so easily been avoided.

Well, I wouldn't have ditched everything. Only the stuff I couldn't get back on my own. So I wouldn't have been naked. Actually I should have just destroyed a some of the pieces, since they would have been relatively easy to recover (and were max'd at the time). Ah well. Too much andrenaline to think straight.

Oh yeah, as for ganging goes...I was privy to the adventures of the Mesernyk/Shaman/Thief team that went on their rampage around 11pm CST Sep. 28. In about a half hour, raid Warlock and kill Yaz, kill Nexus lion on eastern, kill Nexus assassin in Galadon, attack giant to call out Loborguz, kill Loborguz, attack maran to call out Vynmylak, kill Vynmylak. Really quite productive.

When I wrote that note, I had thought you would offer me something =P But you didnt, so I left it at that. Good luck with the conj, I wished I had heroed Ult, would have made things easier conjuring. And this new wand system would have helped A LOT, since I didnt know the area where the old ones used to be real well.

I thought you did a great job as Mesernyk. I'm sorry you didn't think Cirellan was capable. Well, I must say for being my second mage ever, and a dark-elf conjurer at that, I didn't htink I did too bad. However, major props to you for your roleplay and just being a good killer with him.

Well, I was gone for three weeks or so, so I guess I missed most of your escapades at Hero until the last four days or so, where we fought a handful of times. At least now I know why you never responded to my tells.

All in all, I guess I have mixed feelings. On one hand, you rank among the most satisfying people I've ever pincered (if you remember Sorn, he's slightly higher than you) just because you couldn't parry axes too well and had no shield block - it's just really satisfying to see all those hits go through when you just lagged yourself for three rounds. On the other hand, you were among the ten most threatening in your Chasm (from what I saw).

On one hand, I was kind of amused by your in character note to MARAN - I see trash talking and delusional arrogance as an "in character" weakness, and weaknesses are always fun to see Roleplaying (even if trash talking is kind of overdone - but Mesernyk was good). On the other hand, reading your notes here.. it doesn't seem entirely "in character" (?).

I know Jhyrb is your hero, but I say "be Humble." You'll always exceed your expectations, and you'll always be striving for more.

Anyway, thanks for the fun, sorry it was limited, and I hope if you do come back you roll that "perfect Servant" you were talking about. It will be interesting to see how/if you can pull it off.

Good job, don't let the man keep you down. It works if you work it and it wont' if you don't..... But not all the time, and sometimes it does it you don't...but we won't get into that.
