My experiment with evil conjurers. I have been having connection troubles lately and was a good time to move on. Evil conjurers are killing machines. If prepped, they wreck their range, either directly or by nightgaunting. Also hard to kill, if prepped a bit. I died once at rank 16 to some drow warrior tripping me. Once at rank 45 to a couple of marans. All my other deaths were to vampires or lost souls, (while scrying), a few demon and devil deaths as well....Kinda rough when your own magic turns on you. I wasnt getting anywhere with my role aspect. Couldnt get any IMM support to save my life. I had an active role, prayed alot, and even sent tells to visible IMMs that could have helped me with a few answers to some questions. Didnt even get a response from them. I must be doing some to piss IMMs off, but I honestly wasnt trying to do so....I think you are all doing excellent jobs.

I played this charactor alot diferently and as everyone I killed can attest, was a pretty 'nice' evil guy. I never PK unless I am a hero as a rule...I just powerrank to the end, then fight. With this charactor I promised myself I would Pk along the way. Had some good fights and would clear my range on a regular basis. Returned unholy weapons to Aps, gear, some gold, ect., plus never got into taunting or belittling my foes. I also never ganged. Had a few times when another would join me to strike a group...maybe once I had someone with me when I gaunted another. I was having a hard time getting wands though as I couldnt kill tough mobs alone. I got stuck at rank 45...started ranking...then died to a physic vampire and lost interest in re-ranking again.

A few demons need tweaking. I never got to use Challegha or Morosa demons to their advantage as having them turn on you when you hit 50% health wasnt worth the upside. Realistically, why would anyone risk going into battle with one of these things? They do some neat things, but granted...unless you are completely outclassing your foe why risk it?

Devils can either be deadly to you, or your foe. A fight can go from a mop-up to having you get tuned. Ive seen devils recast the same thing three or four times instead of mixing it up...Im gonna guess blind or curse....It doesnt help that 'Your foe is already cursed', as they sometimes spam it off and makes the fight go ####ty. When they get lucky and act smarter, devils are the toughest thing ive come across in the game.

All in all, evil conjies can get a bit dull. Not alot of challenge in 95% of most fights. Waiting so bloody long between up times can be annoying too.

Not alot of interaction. Krollos was kinda cool, but never got to go further with him or others, Rp wise.

Has this become a newbie cabal? I dont know what else to say...I never made it to hero, but the low ranks were kinda scary in a bad sortta way. Fights with Muarghat, Auock, Tonri, were kinda fun. Tonri I gaunted into arial city once...couldnt get him out of shadows to finish him, so brought in a nasty little Imperial thief. Didnt realize you two had the ongoing annomousity going on...Would have been easier on you to just fight me. Sorry for that.

Had a few friends on either side. Each team has a few standouts...if I was friendly with you in game, you are a standout. The rest that I wasnt friendly with, you either annoyed me by never standing on your own, or made stupid remarks that made me want to kill you. My 'friends' should know who they are...

Soriah, I liked your charactor. Harstimp, kinda cool, from all my scrying of you. Would have liked if you left town more, made things dificult when you would sit in a guild surrounded by guards...(but its your job..I just wanted to fight you more.)

Recall never went off, or redirection. Didnt go off in town either when I was a ghost so I couldnt figure out what happened. I tried scrolling back but my buffer clearing prevented me from logging that. Thanks if you got it.

Nightgaunts can be annoying, especially as I had so little total hp when you gaunted me, two mangles and I was carried away. Then again blackjack is a fine skill

I did want to be friends though, with the whole nightgaunt thing. Not that giving back that wand calmed me much, I just waited for the next one, would you gaunt me again or would you not bother?

but it was kind of a role thing. When I gaunted you, I was being lazy, and just was near that spot. I was after someone else who I had been fighting and they teleported. I cant remember, either they were able to hide way toooo fast, or dropped link. I think dropped link. Had a nightgaunt just sitting there..few hours till morning and saw you...Stupid demon didnt assist fast enough and you fled, jacked me. Had demon jumped in one round sooner, would have been better for me. Woke up, cleaned out, no thief in sight. Hehe

Nothing agaisnt your charactor but I dont think many thiefs have a chance agaisnt an evil conjie. Maybe poisoner. Most familiars can see hidden and there is no reason for one of them (conjurer that is) to get lured into a thief trap. The will-o-wisp and smoke mephits can really turn the tables on a thief.

Later on....Had my quasit following you for a while at another date, and it was only a mater of time...never saw you out of shadows at night after that. WHen I was hunting that is.

I knew what I wanted to know about that wand, and it is not that powerful so I thought a token of peace would be good enough.

But I also hoped that I could catch you without a fly on the road sometime, and with me doing some quaffing I might have been able to trip you to death before your pets killed me.

I cant see how people can play goodies, it is these things I love about being evil.

Anyhow, I tend to make it a rule not to fight the gaunting conjie, you never know how prepared/how many friends he has.

No mention of the little short guy who helped you out with that stuff eh? Even if I did bicker with you about gaunting my heralds, I still kinda liked you. You sure never gave up, that's for sure. Hope you have fun with this one and get back into the Fort, enough evil!

Thanks for help with those things. I suck bad at exploring and reading for minute details...Much happier fighting and all that.

I had big plans for you. Involved a demon, you and some gnome tenderizer. Would have made for a cool deception but oh well I lost interest in ranking after my second vampire setback....
