Because I was pretty much going to induct you right away when I saw you next. Take care and good luck with your next.

Nothing against you, but the few times I've been able to lead/interview for cabals, I've kept the "hoop jumping" to a minimum for just this reason.
Not getting inducted/empowered sucks, but what sucks even more is getting the "Drat, I was waiting to catch you again" or "I was waiting to see you again to induct you" stuff.
How was he supposed to know he was doing that well?
If he was, why not just induct him? In every interview I've ever done, I could tell weather the guy was a newbie, noob, idiot, medicore, competent, good RPer, master of all things CF in like 20 minutes, tops.
Plus as a leader, it's always been my understanding that inducting is your #1 job. I wouldn't induct everyone, usually sending them away with a task if they were iffy and just a "go away" if they were stupid, but I'd at least be efficient about it.
Waiting in ignorance sucks.

>I like it, especially for cabals that should have lower >numbers with quality players. Like scarab, >MARAN(pre-squires/mortal leaders), and now berserker ragers.
See, I don't think it really takes that long to determine who's quality, or at least competent.
Why not have a MARAN-esque-like status with berserkers? You can at least get truesight and resist or something before you're deemed worthy for b-thirst, d-blow.
>If they don't enjoy playing their character enough to keep >playing regardless of their progress in getting inducted into >x-cabal, who cares if they delete. It's not the cabal leaders >job to cater his interview style to the player. I understand >what you're saying, I just disagree for the most part.
Heh, that reminds me of the "If you really like your priest character, you shouldn't mind waiting 3 real life weeks to get empowered" argument.
I want to PLAY my role, not wait to play it for weeks wondering if I'm screwing up or if the guy I need to talk to just went on vacation.
Also, I never changed my interview standards, I just got the damn things over with efficiently.
I see your point about screening out smacktards, I just think you can do it relativly quickly so people can play the game and have fun, not wait in frustration.
In closing, I still think waiting in ignorance sucks.

I don't consider someone "quality" material if getting a knock-back from their first interview stops them making a second attempt. A good cabal member is dedicated to the cabal, and that dedication can be demonstrated by picking himself up from the knockback and trying to get in again.

Trasden never was in a position where he wouldn't be inducted at least from my perspective, I've had two hero Villagers and was going for my last path, berserker. If I had to I could have bs'd my way in but it wasn't necessary, I know what you have to to get in it was just the waiting around for Jinroh's and my login sessions to match and getting smacked around that was taking a toll.

I don't want to get into the other stuff, cause I'll end up on a rant and I don't want to piss anyone off.
I agree with the argument of "If you really like your priest character, you shouldn't mind waiting 3 real life weeks to get empowered". While I agree, it shouldn't take that long, you however, are the one who is deciding to play a role that is dependant upon someone else. If you make that choice, like anything else, you have no one to blame but yourself.
Again, I'm not so much arguing, as I just disagree slightly about some things.

Yeah I pretty much got that impression, it was just lots of hours playing that I would see maybe one Villager and dealing with ticked off Imperials and Marans, oh well, the real kicker was the 15-20 mob deaths I went thru that were eating my con. Makes me respect you more for solo heroing, when I fell that much in only 10 levels. Thanks, be seeing you.
