Whee...another farkin' Isildur rage delete. What did we learn this time? The answer to the age old question, "How many ragers is too much for one conjurer?" Answer: Four. Especially if one entwines you in a no-magic room while you're fighting his guardian. Yuck.
To be honest, I originally rolled Mithuna for one reason - find the new rod locations, as well as some other things I'd always been curious about. Along the way she turned into so much more, due mostly to the many wonderful people she had the pleasure of interacting with. In the end I really did learn a lot of stuff. Went to Hell for the first time while not being led by someone else. Mapped all of Organia. Went to the Silent Tower for the first time without returning in a bodybag. Learned how to get some things from the Octagonal Tower. Solved several quests. Etc. Etc.
One thing that might have been fun is to be Magister, but it probably wasn't in the cards. Possibly due in part to my 10-day vacation, I got the feeling Mithuna was viewed as one of those Warlocks that "never shows up". Also, while I might have done well interviewing and such, my PK skills were hardly up there with the likes of Andulvar and Lirellia. *shrug* I'm going to kick myself if I was under consideration, but I highly doubt that was the case. If not, I'd love it if one of the Twins (or anyone else) would comment on what aspects of Mithuna could have used improvement.
Anyways, here are the requisite goodbyes plus my role:
Stellyx - it was fun talking to you. Sorry about the misuse of the Shrine that time; I was just trying to avoid getting the applicant killed while we spoke (she had been attacked earlier). Hope you enjoyed those images I dreamed up. I had been hoping to maybe get your tatoo when we spoke the first couple of times, then I didn't see you around for a while, took my 10-day absence, and figured when I got back that it wasn't going to happen. Any comments/suggestions would be great.
My conscience, i.e. the talking archon - That was cool. It gave me an excuse to never use nightgaunts again, which I think are a pain in the ass to use correctly.
Valguarnera - Hah. That plague was pretty funny. That whole episode was me trying to RP my "chronic foot in mouth" role. Hope it didn't seem too annoying from a player-to-player POV.
Arvam - That "revolving story" early on in Mithuna's life was good stuff. Remember the knight trying to save the orc-ess with the evil sister in Hamsah? Heh. Should do more of those.
Armand - We had fun, but it really got on my nerves having to respond to you always solo-raiding. I would conjure, go to the fortress and run you off, then repeat. Glad I could be the first mage to solo-kill you, though apparently I wasn't the last.
Plyate - Thanks for making me even more paranoid than I thought I was already. Who knows how many times it has already saved my life, both with Mithuna and with other chars. Thanks for not being a punk and full-looting my defiling self.
Johan - You are cool. I was always more than happy to equip you whenever you needed something. Keep on truckin'. And for god's sake, go out and recruit some more Maran! After playing Adannae, I really feel for you with that accent you have.
Igakaie - Thanks for helping me with that dragon. Had I known it didn't destroy clothes I wouldn't have bothered you with it. Go rip the scions a new one.
Astirath - You're a punk. And I'm not even talking about all the garbage people normally bring up. Killing me at the altar, naked, after having slept me, was just...umm...sort of lame. Could have fled, but decided to save my gear instead. Woul dhave like to have seen the look on your face when I dismissed my own archon during that battle.
Nazgauga - Also a punk. Like a big goof, Bynote tells *me* instead of you, "Mithuna's waiting at the pit in Galadon - get her." Sure enough you come running and waste my naked butt. Same devil's dilemma as with Astirath above - gear or life. Guess I'm just lazy, but I'd rather spend a death than go to the trouble of reequipping. *shrug*
Warlocks in general - Umm, maybe take on an apprentice every once in a while? At one point I think I had four, apparently due to the fact that I was one of the few warlocks willing to sit down and chat with youngins. I don't mean to be too harsh - maybe the apps I spoke with made it seem worse than it really was.
I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, so feel free to chime in. Anyway here's the desc and role. Feel free to comment on them as well, if you feel so inclined:
desc + This young woman is dressed strangely\; her armor is clearly too large, and desc + it hangs from her limbs in an almost comical fashion. You cannot but wonder desc + whether she even knows how to attach it properly. Her features are simple, desc + though by no means unattractive, and are offset by eyes of piercing blue. desc + These are further framed by sun-bleached hair, which tumbles down around her desc + face in places and cries out for a good combing. The sun seems to have had desc + the opposite affect on her skin, the latter of which glows angrily under its desc + firey touch\; her pink lips likewise appear to be chapped from exposure. desc + When the woman moves, her mannerisms strike you as somewhat plebian, lacking desc + the poise possessed by even the lowest Darsylonian commoner.
role + The name 'Mithuna', interestingly enough, means 'Twins' in the elvish role + patois spoken by those in her village. Her mother would often claim this role + was because she kicked enough for two children while in the womb, but role + Mithuna always dismissed this as jest. Born in the Vale of Arendyl, role + she is what the Darsylonians would term a 'wilder'. While not exactly role + disliked by the more sophisticated city folk, her kind are looked upon role + with a sort of haughty amusement. Their culture is considered backwards, role + their people simple and their manners laughable. If you were to ask role + Mithuna, of course, they have it all wrong. She would say it is the city role + folk who are to be pitied\; their horrible 'rules of polite society' role + serving merely to complicate their lives, not bring joy or true role + fulfillment. As such she is often perceived by high elves as rude or role + abrupt, though that is by no means her intent. role + role + Before beginning her studies in the guild of conjurers Mithuna was an role + artist of sorts. In actuality she was not yet old enough to truly have a role + profession, though she did make herself useful by preparing meals and role + other domestic tasks. Her free time, though, was spent with her paints. role + Her parents would remark that there wasn't a single thing in their village role + that had not been sketched, drawn or painted by Mithuna. Indeed, her zeal role + landed her in hot water more than a few times when she happened to record role + a few rather "candid" scenes. Sound judgement was never Mithuna's strong role + point. Yet, whatever trouble she might get her self into was easily role + gotten out of with the right amount of persistence and persuasion. Quite role + glib, Mithuna lives under the mistaken belief that she can talk her way role + out of almost any predicament. role + role + It was her gift for art, in fact, that would eventually result in her role + entrance into the study of conjuration. One day a young Darsylonian noble role + "slumming" in her village happened to remark that one of Mithuna's more role + abstract works vaguely resembled the protective circles drawn by his role + guildmaster. Intrigued, Mithuna eventually pried from the sullen lad a role + rudimentary explanation of planar theory, though it took every ounce of role + her willpower to endure his patronizing tone long enough for him to finish role + the impromptu lecture. Desperate to learn more, she convinced her parents role + to allow her to travel to Galadon and study in the conjurer's guild there. role + role + Her guildmaster would later remark that Mithuna brought to the guild a role + style all her own, her circles and methodologies subtley different than role + those of the most students. Raised in the wilds, Mithuna's brain and role + visual perception were never trained with straight lines and role + orthogonality. Rather, the sights that surrounded her during her role + formative years were full of curves, irregularities and wonderful variety. role + The result was remarkable. Whereas the gnomish students' circles were role + often stylized and complex, hers were the image of simplicity. role + Unfortunately, Mithuna was never able to grasp even the most rudimentary role + circles of protection from demons and devils. Their jagged lines and role + maddeningly precise angles would ever frustrate her, foreign as they were.

*sigh* Damn, pity you are gone. I'm sure it would have been fun to travel with you had you waited a bit more. Thanks for the excellent interview (which really inspired me much) and co-mentorship (well, must say, Andulvar wasn't too talkative anyways ).
