I have played one shaman to around level twenty then never tried them again. I generally lean neutral in my own thoughts and preferred characters that followed. I was burned out after my last character that was goodie had utterly failed and with the massive influx of goodies, I decided to try to learn something new.
I had hoped for Venoms and Divine Anger and the role I had thought up was to drive me there, but in some ways I never fully pushed the story further than where the initial story left me. It was both good and bad as Zydeki sort of naturally just progressed based on what he saw and experienced around him and through Ergush's religion. I still should have done a better job with designing future progression though.
Desolations was not expected, but it was as powerful as people know it to be. Venoms was a nice add for targeted damage as well, though I think the threat of malice forced more people to safely run away than actually die. People who were expert shaman players and fought me probably realize I was somewhat of a shaman newbie. Most of what I know was from fighting others, with the two biggest ones I've fought through my time being Kraldinor then later Zraldar. Desolations partially covered for that with power that let me treat the class more like an invoker than a rope-a-dope tactician.
This went down as a rage delete, but I wasn't mad so much as disappointed in what came when three took me down. I knew I wasn't going to last much longer as I was growing bored. I mostly either experienced people who would run or logout when I got on, or get overwhelming numbers and try every which way to pin me down. It wasn't very fun in either one of those situations. It was making logging in a chore, but as a leader I knew I needed to be logging in and making sure to keep applicants coming in. It was just time, even if that time came earlier than I would have wanted.
IMMs Ergush I had tried once before to get your religion, but kind of floundered and failed. I am glad I finally got somewhere with it and did enjoy talking with you.
Allies Alendross You are such a long lived character and every iteration of character I have interacted with you has been pleasant and enjoyable. I am glad I got to experience you once again.
Mae I really wish I would have gotten to know you better. After, I really wish I would have gotten a real chance at you. Oh well.
Trroug Very competent, we worked great together when the stars aligned and we were able to hunt.
Ragus It was good to hunt with you and we pulled out some kills together I was not sure we could.
Rest of Outlanders There were plenty more that I adventured with and enjoyed, but not a ton that we managed to really work well together in a fight.
Village Beyond forced enemies, Zydeki really took the nature vs magic thing to heart when he learned it from Ergush and was completely in your corner. He of course prioritized Outlander first, but I can remember some fun fights I had trying to be around the Village to have their back too.
Enemies (Evil Outlander had these in spades) Primdella I'm not sure you realize how oppressive you really were. Every time you were on, I could be under water and you would find out where I was and undoubtedly someone would come and flush me out. After which I'd likely have an air form harass me or a nightgaunt swoop down and have to succumb. This is all well and fine, but to face this any time I login as you are putting in 12 hours a day most every day made the entire game not fun. I was pretty much counting on you age dying soon otherwise I wouldn't have made it through that. The whole heavy looting people because they are competent is lame and it is even more lame when you tried to get me full looted by nightgaunting me to the hamsah guards. Everyone may have loved you as an ally, but you were a terrible enemy and one that made the entire game less fun for a cabal. That is understandable and I could have been argued to have done it for some, but I don't know where everyone is all the time nor do I put in 12 hour days.
Ganndretia From your goodbye thread: "Zydeki: You were rough because we didn't start fighting until Gann was in the Single digits for CON, and malice made me have to pause a lot more. My only feedback would be around the Enemy RP. You were way too cozy to be an enemy. And for the record I didn't like trib either, so anytime you thought we were working together, With maybe one exception, was just cooincidents. In fact I can remember getting threatened with a warrant for opening a door when Prim was trying to Gaunt you." 1) You were my first kill as a lowbie, I didn't start fighting you when you were in single digit con. I fought you before I ever had a single path. 2) You may view all evils as enemies, but Zydeki was willing to try to learn what he could from anyone about the primary enemies: empire, trib, and scion. That means he was fully willing to ask fortress or village if they had any of those items. You can speak with someone and still kill them, and I always loved this RP that I saw from Kraldinor years ago and then Zraldar recently that I wanted to embrace it. 3) I didn't know that and appreciate it after the fact. It was very suspicious to Zydeki that he was chilling underwater to avoid a nightgaunt (evil) and you just happened to show up to force him out of water and low and behold.. NIGHTGAUNT. 4) As much as you want to pretend you didn't like Trib, if trib had the fetish and I would even try to retrieve you were there. You were at Galadon and if an evil defended against me at the captain.. you were striking me not the other evil. If I was on eastern and there was an imperial there, you were after me. It was personal at some point.
Dollerveim You were literally the enemy I had the most respect for in the entire game. You generally were just after a fight no matter how bad the odds and you got away with living a shocking amount of time. The time you got me solo in Feanwyyn was impressive and the way you treated me after made me realize you were not like the rest of Trib. The last time we fought, I knew you had retired so I tried to give you the same out I do anyone who is sitting comfortable in a protected city. Leave, get out, go enjoy some place else. You wouldn't so I decided to give you malice to see if you really could easily survive it like you had claimed, but you could not. I'd understand if that angered you.
Kira You were dangerous as all get out. You were the only other person to fall to malice but you had made it back to the Spire I think and kept your weapon. This goes down as a rage delete due to the last kill where you sat there at my recall point waiting for two other people to force me out. I don't hate the tactics, I just don't see the reason why you had to have such a heavy hand when it took three. When you offered me a trade, I decided I'd rather delete than be tempted by that thought.
Seraxan I wanted to make note of this, you were wily and shockingly competent and getting to where even before a becoming you would give a good fight. Well done.
Asaigai The trick your lesser form gives you should have a timer on failure, and it doesn't. It is lame that you use full protections to keep trying over and over again too.
Hikadata So you are probably the person with the most reason to hate me, but you didn't seem to. I wasn't sure if my trick would work, but it did and perfectly.
Kithervroy Volley withering myself and sanc falling was quite embarassing, but I appreciate everything about how you handled that victory.
Zodslag I am shocked I got you the once and how it went down. You proved over and over again after how that was a fluke, what a power house.
Leuoa I am not sure if you just tolerated me because I was hard to kill, but Zydeki truly liked you and didn't really even think of you as an enemy. It was cool reading about how you got into Baron's as a non-mage and admire it, I wish you would have liked me enough to share more of that IC.
Socrag What started off as just trying to get someone out of town ended up graduating into full fledged animosity it was a lot of fun.
Williad You are flat out scary at how much damage you can push through sanctuary. In some ways, it felt like a direct counter to what I was.
I'll respond later if I missed anyone.
Mechanics Typhoon - I sincerely hope that this is fixed so that the next person who has it can actually use it to retrieve with.
Trib Mechanics I understand that Trib is one of the harder cabals to play and needs some powers at all times to really fulfill their function. Why do they need to be able to bring lieutenants to retrieve though? What other cabal gets to bring that level of power without their item? I understand having them IN town, just not to retrieve. The argument tends to always be, but all of those people camping the woods. There is truth to it, but there can easily be people camping the Spire hiding or in duo (and it has happened).
Can we please reconsider confiscate as a mechanic. This basically encourages only classes that don't care about weapons to really want to be in Outlander because at some point your going to die and lose them all just cause. Then when a Tribunal whines and loses a weapon, they are going to complain that I took it at the Tree. It encourages something that is considered generally bad behavior from most everyone else, taking what you don't need. I'm sure Outlanders agree with this and Tribunal hate the idea and very little in CF every changes, but man I just hate this mechanic.

Rest well hunter. Another Nightreaver feeds Her. I think you're the fifth in Alendross' lifetime. You were a strong hunter and I recommended you for nightreaver to Ergush. I really enjoyed the induction interview and thought the kind of actual shaman thing you had going on for your tribe was awesome. She was made stronger by your presence, hunt well in your nightmares Nightreaver. GLWYN.

Sorry you felt that way. The form has nice damage reduction. I didn't ever use more than stoneskin and shield on a 1v1 with you. When it was you and Trroug I would get resistant as I could because that is a powerhouse combination that I was very wary of! Summon + 80 dam roll overhead + insects is enough to take out an entire cabal.
I thoroughly enjoyed our tussles and was always impressed with how elusive you were. I could just never pin you down. Gratz on being one of the longer lasting Nightreavers - I don't fully understand the curse that title has but it seems quite real.

Laaame. Think you were the last of the ones who joined around the same time/level as Ragus. Little outlander family is all gone now!
Enjoyed running around with yah, wish our play times aligned more.
Also thanks for help finding some bows!

Great character. I really liked the dynamic we had going.
I considered Empire and evil Tribunals as worse that Reavers because Outlanders were a bit more freedomy. So I would try to work with Zydeki at times, but was always looking for a chance to kill you too.
Leuoa never really like or cared about anyone though, except maybe Cedany. It was always hard to tell how much other characters knew about my past. Typically, I revealed as much as needed to get someone on my side and Zydeki didn't need much convincing to team up on Imperials and others.

I fought you before I ever had a single path.
One fight, then we didn't fight again until the time south of Udgaard where you didn't have Venoms yet. So yeah... Pretty much most of our fights took place once I had single digit con.
Zraldar had similar but not the same RP as you tried to do. I had no problems chatting with him. With you, I don't know it came off as trying to do the Buddy buddy thing. With him, it was respected enemies. I think it got better as time went on, and if thats the worst I have to say about your character, thats probably not all that bad. Don't get all ruffled.
3) I didn't know that and appreciate it after the fact. It was very suspicious to Zydeki that he was chilling underwater to avoid a nightgaunt (evil) and you just happened to show up to force him out of water and low and behold.. NIGHTGAUNT.
To be honest, if Primdella was evil, I would have prioritized them over you 100%. I can think of one time that they pointed me towards you, and that was when you were in the spawning pool. When I realized what they were doing, I pretty much ignored them after that. I knew that I wasn't going to see you any time Prim was on and a gaunt could hit.
There was no pretending about it. I did not like Trib one bit. As you may see later when/if Gann's PBF is posted. If I came at you at the captain its because thats where you are. I go where my enemies are. As the Tribs I hunted near the tree. You are Evil, I'm going to go at you if I'm playing fort. The fact that you want me to go at the other bad guys first, is kinda like a mage saying to a villager, LOOK THERES ANOTHER MAGE GO GET HIM INSTEAD OF ME!... Ugh. just ugh.
All in all Zydeki was cool. As I said before I only had a few criticisms of the char and none of them, I thought, were overly bad.

I really liked Zydeki from what I saw. The paths you ended up with were pretty cool. You did a real good job as Nightreaver and especially the insane odds at times. Wish I could of hunted or traveled with you more but unfortunately Scyreth is more the lone wolf type and mindset.
Congratz!!

Our times were rare together, but Mae did enjoy them. It was nice to see a strong Nightreaver cause havoc. As things progressed there was kindred spirit but alas time did not allow it to flourish completely. GLWYN!
