At 3 o'clock AM, Day of the Moon, 14th of the Month of Futility
on the Theran calendar Sunlay perished, never to return.

Maybe take that item out of the rotation for mummy quest. I'm not bad at PvE, got 2 hints from immortals (which I'm grateful for), got an item from the area which was extremely hard to get which matched the description.. yet still it was wrong.

Thanks to Ish and Emnon. They are really keeping this ship afloat. No more tries for me for a while, I'm just going to have to accept that I'm never going to have one and get on with my life.

There are a few similar items like the one you had to get in the same area. You just got the wrong one. If you had each and looked at them, it'd be obvious then.


Otherwise I don't know about taking it out of rotation (personally). I'd probably just prefer to add more/revamp/redo the mummy item list entirely, and even aim to do so at somewhat regular intervals.

All the same, good try! I was kinda rooting for you there, and when I saw how close you were item wise I sighed for you .

I haven't played a necro since before you could become undead, but it would be cool if using a wrong item or getting a really low roll still made you undead, but caused crippling flaws like loss of a limb(s) or damage from sunlight. No, I don't expect anyone to seriously consider this, just thought it would be neat.

But who would actually play that character and not delete;delete duck you umiron

There used to be something like this, where the roll could leave you horribly crippled. But like joshallguys said, everyone just deleted when it happened.

So way back yonder it got changed to where now it's just success or death since everyone deleted with crippled anyway.


That is, unless I'm remembering something incorrectly .

His cabal mates hated him so much they got Qaledus to counterfeit a lich item they gathered for him. IMMs felt guilty and created half-lich for him. He deleted.

One of my failed lich attempts became a maimed undead. IIRC I was able to move around and speak but like...no other commands. Sorta like what happens when you CON die but without a timer.

I bahleted 10 minutes later.

I don't know that the maimed/half deal was ever an option for Mummy though. So it may still exist but be lich-only.

Well we tried to steer you in the right direction. Take a break from
the undead chasing. Unless your chasing after Emnon as another follower.
I liked Sunlay, but damn did you drive me crazy the minute I would start
a cool interaction and you ran straight to my shrine. I think I smited
you too once for it.

Quick tip everyone. Emnon and his player. Loves working the environment
and interacting with descriptive things of the rooms you are in. If you
see something. Stay put and enjoy it!

Regardless I hope you had fun and I appreciate the kind words. We all
do our part to try to keep this thing a float though.

Heh. I died to you from raw melee damage without you even needing to maladict me.

When we fought I was frustrated by the difficulty I had in fighting with a mobile phone, so gambled on the sleep even though I was already badly hurt and knew failure would kill me from zombie melee. Was just desperate for a win of some kind!

You seemed pretty well rp'd and again, were cool in victory over me.

Have you ever used a phone to play CF?
