Added Fri Nov 1 19:03:49 2002 at level 4:
There was once in a village known as Lanke'lesk, where humans worshiping the
darkness used to hide from the beings torturing them. They were chased off
the towns by the army of Marans because of what they believed and what they
are. There was once a great High Priest known as Theodemir who lived there
with his family, worshipping the darkness but mostly Lord Zulghinlour.
Theodemir was a leader of man and quickly became the chief of the village. He
quickly ordered every villagers train day and night to fight the Fortress in
the name of the Darkness. This is how was born the small faction of '' The
Fighters of the Flaming Crown''. They were attacking the fortress to annoy
them but this time, it would be a final battle. This is where Vortigern
Shirkuh made his name. Son of Theodemir, future Shaman in being, he entered
the small group to make his father proud and to pay respect to his father's
deity, Lord Zulghinlour. They were 1000 villagers, shamans and the High
Priest before the fortress, ready to strike when the Maran and Servants came
to defend. It was a bloody battle but they managed to win the first
part...until the Skyborn showed up, angered. With his spear, he impaled the
High Priest, killing him. Angered, Vortigern striked the Skyborn. Fire came
out from his hands, burning the young kid badly and killing the rest of the
army. Vortigern retreated to some cavern in search of loneliness and disgust
against the Light.

Aginal tells the group 'Cannot harm conjurer yet'
Few years passed and the young shaman in being was still hidden from
civilisation, considered as a monster with his burned figure. Until one day,
some Kobold had pity of him and since he had some forgering skills, he built
a mask to hide his face from mankind. With this details out of the picture,
he came back to the light of the day, seeking revenge toward the Light. He
knows that he will not beat the Skyborn since he killed his father whom was
one of his strongest of his profession but if he can hurt his precious Maran,
this will be some sort of revenge.

After becoming a apprentice shaman, he followed a elder one to learn more
about the world and about his professtion. Bayazid Togrul of Hamsah Mu'tazz
took him under his wings and as requested was taught about Zulghinlour. But
before he needed to show some proof that he's worthy of his teaching. He went
with 5 other young apprentice in the swamps of Kran'thelios to the northern
parts of the land. It is a small place indeed but there is something very
precious for young mages in being, the essence of the three-headed hydra. Of
course since they were young, they just went for one of the baby hydra though
still good. They needed a leader, Vortigern told them he'd be the one. He
knew the path since Bayazid showed him an old map of the area and he had some
old knowledge from his father about swamps. In no time they slayed the baby
hydra and came back with the essence. Surprised, the old Togrul welcomed them

and created a small vial of the essence. The old sage just sold it for money
but he was quite proud of his apprentice so he taught him about Zulghinlour.
After a long talk, it convinced him to follow his father footstep and become
a pupil of the Lord Zulghinlour.

Added Fri Dec 13 19:39:39 2002 at level 51:
After many days of traveling around, he met Anith, a human who could turn into
a mongoose. He and I talked a little about the Scions of the Eternal Night.
Both had the same common goal, to gain power. Then Trajeona spoked with
Vortigern and then became a member of the chasm. Many years passed, a lot of
discovery was made and so he started to think his main goal was missing something.
He was seeing how the world was looking like and perhaps he should not get rid
of the Skyborn's followers...but the Thane's warriors and Uller's scholars.
All those who slowed him to gain power, all those little maggots...That is
if they still live once he achieve the highest rank of his guild...

Added Fri Dec 13 19:47:44 2002 at level 51:
Finally...the time has come. The time for them to feel the pain. The time that
he has been waiting for. He gained the ultimate gift of his guild, he became
as strong as his late father, he became the Holy of Faith. And now...it was
time to let the Therans know that now an era of pure darkness will be starting.
An era of suffering, pay back for his younger days, pay back for those who has

fallen to them. This was time to be fighting for victory! Victory against those
fools who think magi is the plague of the lands, it is them who plague the lands!
Victory against those who think the Light is the solution, it is just a mere excuse
to act like us but with the idea of doing good. They are as untrustworthy,
backstabbing as we can be. Victory over those who think Mother Nature is harmed
by our experiments. We do not care because we own them and the Mother Nature.
Death to those who are against us, long live the power of the Eternal Darkness.

i figured you for a complete bastard, but after all you were evil eh?
so on being evil i think you did well. on other things well.... you were a bastard so i'm biased.. hehe. considering ya said english isn't a first language i applaud you, hard enough to do this kind of thing if english is you first language. then you have people like me who speak 'merikan in stead of english. hehe every sub-culture here has it's own 'slang' so-to-speak.

so kudos on being a bastard and ummm i hated you and glad the char is dead. but come on back and give em hell.

But you should have played off the role of your name, if you were going to use it. This desciption lends itself to some good possibilities for a character, I think.

Vortigern, the King

Vortigern may have come to power in Britain in the late 430s or early 440s (although some speculate that he was the ruler during the visit of St. Germanus of 429), possibly as "high-king." It is believed that Vortigern is not a name at all, but a title, meaning "over king." According to the available sources, Vortigern was a weak man of little character, possessing few redeeming personal qualities. It is hard to imagine that his ascent to power was by the acclaimation of the members of Britain's ruling council. It is, however, much easier to believe that he gained his throne by treachery and murder.

I know it's more my problem than anyone elses....

But twice I had thought up really nice roles that I would have liked to play in Scion, but I didn't roll up because you were scion.

Your name, lifted right out of the Aurthurian mythos, reeked, in my opinion, and if I was an imm you would not have passed rank 5 with it.

Yep...57 pk ratio...not bad. I died a lot and won a lot. Shamans are nasty if you know what to do...at first I didn't and died a lot. I started to get the hang of it...not everytimes...but oh well.

I rolled this char after a short break from cf, started to get bored, didn't know what to roll. I tried a shaman, a class I had no success empowering. (WARNING: Zulg...you should not read this!)
I was reading the forum when I saw about the Empire, Knight and stuff madness so I came on to get empowered, since Zulg was visible. I took him busy and so I was empowered...then I never saw him again.
Of course, I am to blame...forgot a lot to pray once in a while but that is not fun to pray when you know he's gone till next year.

I rolled Scions because it is my second favorite cabal. It replaces the Empire I never was able to play...and since I'm an evil player, I decided to give it a try. Go inducted, was hell when I started with bad odds, no hero or few, I was level 30 and I was sometimes alone, I'd go retreave the Scepter against Sylvans using Bio on me...
Then I got to hero (First hero) and odds became better sometimes boring...hence why some delete in Scions

Yes I ganged, yes I full looted but I was an asshole, that was my goal...to be an asshole to those I had a hatred with since my childhood. Sometimes some bitched and whined...and I'm sorry. I'm not usually like that.

Some must have seen I am not native english...so when you'll see my role...don't mock me!

Now the Farewells...don't blame me for not putting you on this...I still have a headache for that party last night...

Immortals:

Dullameh and Valguarnera: Thanks for making the Cabal that fun. I remember those times when the Archmage was yelling how worthless we were and sometimes picking on me...was not positive but that was something! I still have a chuckle from that time when you threatened to boot all the Scions if we did not take the Scepter back before midnight!

Scions:

Trajeona: Good character there, thanks for the induction and for some fun times

Anith: The mighty mongoose! God you helped me many times and when Trajeona will be gone for good, you'll do a good Chancellor.

Aginal: Bright, skilled, killer.

Panir: My shadow... You were not bad, we just had different tactics. About my anger...well sometimes it has to come out...sometimes it would be ic, and I'm sorry.

Helga: I hate your link...really annoying. Fun to have around.

Vizzial: God we had some fun together! Hunting, regearing, raiding, ranking...Keep on killing!

Hmm...kinda out of names...just ask if you want to be remembered

Maran:

Paladins: I consider you as a bunch...I did not like you one bit. I won't go further.

Yaofhil: You seemed to get me always when I wasn't ready! I got you once though...

Sabrian: Damned thieves...

Dawn

Who? I'm kidding
Elrys: Was fun chatting with you at the end, I really wanted that Fortress burned!!!

Kayloni: Kicked your ass left and right...never really rped with you.

Tribunal

Farnsworth: Really liked ya, having you as an ally and learning by watching you fight.

Gaerak: I do not know if you are like that ooc but sheesh...ic you are a crybaby!

Sylvan

Phylanthorin: Had good fights, damned wrath...

Nunchyk: Didn't have many fights...you'd run often but hey, you are a ranger...

Sassmi: Gah, damned you! The generous Sylvan.

Warlock

Caysh: Damned scourge...

Tasfiel: Damned scourge AND arcanes

Rest of warlocks: Damn counterspell

Nexus:

Bazhans: We had some good and bad times together, stay strong

Yhorian: Really liked to hunt and roleplay with you.

Battle

I'll put you in a bunch since I'm tired

Some of you were fun, some of you were morons, some of you cried and cried for gear. Some where skilled, some I would have slayed in the circle with Yuber many times...

Entropy:

Talin: You are chaotic? You looked like a hater of Ragers

Sinlauk: Hated you ic, respected you ooc.

Uncaballed

Kambolik: Useful but so weird

Kragnar: Very strong giant...glad to have him as an ally.

Brenbardo: You seemed to hate me so much!

That's it folks...now I need some sleep.

Yuber, Ikafaerk, Kalak, Pesmerga, Kiligor and many many useless characters.

I enjoyed our travels in our youth. The constant raids and fighting when we were underdogs was great. Cant even count how many we killed during those days...It was a slaughter though.

Liked your charactor, even with your occasional outburst of pissed off anger. *snicker* You definatly show up to fight, despite bad odds, and show true courage in taking on multiple foes. Best way to go out is how you did.....all out.

That incident with the arcane (whos name I am not mentioning)....not sure if it was handled well by me....but heck, I like both of you in game, and didnt want some hornets nest going off.....

ANyhow....take care and hope it was fun for you.

Yea...I was roleplaying someone who wanted victory, if he didn't have it, he'd get pissed off...I tried to be mean to show that evil is not dead but to the end of my life...saved Aginal's butt twice that cost me a death...guess I'm not such an asshole heh.

Your "Role" was to be an asshole, but causing a mob death to someone who is just unghosting from multiple gangbangs by Scions, doing it only to cause them an xp loss, and just because you're too big a ##### to attack them directly in town and take the heat for your actions, is an OOC thing, and tends to make one think the asshole doesn't end with your role. Either way, you never attacked me with fewer than 2 other people with you, and never interacted with me in any other way, so I can't say I really feel a loss at your passing, like I did with Panir. You could have learned a lot from him.

I heard a lot of people in scions saying they
didn't like you much, being that they could tell
you were kinda new. I always had a lot of respect
for you because you were always there when
the odds were awful, and you always wanted
a fight. Could tell you had fun with the
character. Good luck on the next

... that time you killed me and "full looted" me. As you learnt IC I'm against full looting completely (Even for RP reasons), and normally do tell those who do full loot me how I feel. But because I'd just been perma lagged to death by someone I can kill with a single song, and having to sit there for a min or so watching myself slowly die really, really pissed me off. Thus I kind of went over the top.

Never really knew you other than that, and I just wanted to apologize for going off at you.

I wasn't feeling well last night, tired and had a headache. I liked fighting you though those times I should have worded well...perhaps I was wrathed by Phylanthorin or any other paladin...or I recently died and didn't go to get some of those potions to teleport around..Stay strong...Sylvans are in a bad state these days.

Heh, yeah I enjoyed it as well. When you said you'd be dead soon I was thinking days not hours. I guess we only talked a couple times but I found them enjoyable. I noticed there was something strange in your speech, but I never quite connected it with English not being your first language. What with all the different accents people do on CF, disjointedness just might be an RP thing.

You were fun to fight, though we never fought solo really. My impression is that shamans have it tough against goodie conjurers. It's tough for them to deal enough damage, their maladictions get cured, and then there's the unbound angel aggressiveness.

Few were willing to fight me outside their cabal...so it always ended up in raids and then either I or you were ganged.

*sigh* Good times, good times. Well done. I always thought you needed to ease off the hunting a bit and worry more about self-preservation, but I always did get the warm and fuzzies for a 'balls-to-the-wall' type of char in my cabals. See ya around.

Why is that uncaballed people are almost always forgotten .. anyways, you had me good there under water .. smart move.. afterwards I know I could have escaped (won't tell you how, but trust me ) anyways, we had some nice fights .. just .. the full looting .. man, that sucks .. You have no idea how many hours I spend trading, asking around, running around, spending hours helping others so they would help me .. blah blah blah .. and then .. oh well .. well done

See you around..

Dang, I was hoping I'd get to see more of you. That first meeting really made me think highly of your character - remember in the Holy Grove there, with Kalratakess? Anyway, I was always looking forward to joining and fighting alongside you after that, but limits on my time due to real life, plus having to work on a quest to get inducted slowed me down a bit. From all I saw at least, you were really gutsy, and even if you died a lot, I think that's cool. Good job, and I hope to see you either fighting with or against in the future.

From what I could tell you had some brains and Vortigern was just the brawn for it all. A shame you con-died... forget to keep up your protective shield and flying potions? You were a good char although at times you seemed a lot less evil than most.

some memories of you include beating up the odd rager and coordinating through you against the village. Anith is always in form so I always asked you to relay messages. I hope you didn't take it personally when I avoided you most of the time, I remember once or twice purposely ignoring your tells because the world was balanced, but so it goes. I enjoyed rping with you too, that one time when the world was peaceful and I kept catching ragers to try talking to them... that was just hilarious. Found myself using my little scripted 'serious' emote quite a few times as I listened to your role. Definetly something evil there, next time try striking added fear by randomly attacking people I have to say your one of the few people who actually got Yhorian's attention and to see into his role. Perhaps when i finally con die too, i'll get to posting it. You might be surprised....

You were clearly quite skilled in the old PKing thing but you always belittled your own ability by being in a gang. Now if it was because flunkies flocked to you or because you just wanted to play the RP ganger asshole like you said Vortigern was supposed to be , I don't know. What I can say, however, is that you could have had great respect from many players had you not ganged so much and from what I saw of you, you did not really need to. I would have liked to have fought you one on one sometime.

Grogim

P.S. Yuber killing people in the circle?! You did not have the skills back then to kill many folk in the circle

P.P.S. Wither sucks!

Yea well I had some difficulty to fight some ragers. Turet, Gholrhun, you and hmmm...and someone else with that title of no title...anyway. So I'd usually gang but it was just me trying to be asshole and I didn't care about respect really.

P.S. I know Yuber sucked back then

P.P.S Wither sucks, I know!

You were my main arch-nemsis, I was looking for you at every full moon. Unfortunately, I only found you a couple of times. I saw you once on eastern and set my usual trap in the druid grove, but either you didn't see me or decided you didn't feel like having the hunt called on you again. You will probably be glad to hear that Anith has now taken your place as my arch-nemesis. I doubt I will ever kill him though, every encounter has ended in either my death of me getting lucky enough to get away with my life. I can definately tell that this was your first high level shaman, you used to just spam demonfire whether it was effective or not, then you learned to dispel first and follow with demonfire. Well, good luck in your next character, I can breathe a little easier now that you are gone, still have the rest of the Scion deathsquad to watch for.

Szuzzlar the Druid of Flame.
