Man, when you deleted I felt I could finally breathe. Atleast 50hrs of my character's life were a total struggle. When you were on, most of my logins I was just quaffing transportation potions to escape and still you got me so many times. I've never had such a bad matchup /assbeating in my CF career. I guess I'm happy you were around because I finally learned not to delete after a few stupid deaths. Good luck with your next, man I hope I get to be on your side one day, I always play against you and I hear a lot of good things about you as an ally. I'm echoing what others said, it wouldn't harm to rp with your enemies a bit too, especially if you're eating them up like that.

I might be mistaken, but i think some time after i posted that rally was nerfed a bit. It was either improved check to make all possible attacks before or offensive part of haste affect, or something else. But i usually got 1-2 attacks less soon after i posted that. Again, it might be my imagination and nothing was nerfed. If it wasn't nerfed - i strongly suggest what i already suggested before.
Bat's lag is MUCH worse than shieldbash from an enlarged giant. Also defenders get improved shield block and no elf's vuln, but get giant's resist instead. More hps and + 1 size. So without marshall skill champion simply suck compared to monks or defenders.
P.S. Avengers need little boost i believe as they are the weakest and least played paladins.

I've been on your side and against you.
With your allies and your immortal, you interact and roleplay well. You give insight into your actions.
With your enemies...it's anything but. You just do things. People get annoyed because even when the actions are justified, you don't give them the perspective to see that.
Talk to your enemies. Roleplay with them. It would be better for both them and you.

You are reading the code with your own interpretations to think that a paladin has some explicit reason not to do this. The code is a thing people point to all the time, but in most things people complain about it is up to the paladin to see how the code applies to them, not onlookers. What he did with the code is between him and the imms, and from what I have seen the imms were just fine with his actions.

It's not up to the paladin at all. It's 100% up to the discretion of whatever immortal is onlooking and how they read the code when it comes to mechanical punishment. It's 100% up to the discretion of the paladin's fellow players how they judge the paladin and his ability to follow the code. For instance, were I another paladin I might choose to snub my nose at him or refuse to let him become a member of the Fortress.
The code is written plain and strict. There isn't much, if any, room for "interpretation," though I know people like to take their liberties for the sake of mechanical effectiveness.
All that said, if you read my post with intent to understand, I'm asking for his take on it in case I'm missing something. So far the public debate has not swayed me, but this character couldn't weigh in since he was active. I respect Shaapa and his chars, so I would like to hear his opinion too.
PS: #REKT - Shaapa's post came in while I was writing. Chalk another one up for the Matrik.

If it is all in relation to the felar chief, I still don't know what part of the code could be interpreted into saying summoning to aid in a fight "against their will" is breaking code. And until the code says things like "thou shalt not carry more than 10 gold at a given time" there absolutely is room for interpretation. The role has as much to do with how the code is applied to it as much as the code itself is, and the imm that is followed has a heavy hand in it as well.

A true Pathfinder does not call minions to do their bidding, and instead overcome their obstacles with superior focus and leadership.
And that has more to do with the Imm he followed than the code as a blanket to be cast over every paladin, and perhaps the Fortress as well since said Imm leads it.

I tried a couple of times, but it was the other way around. In fact it was part of why I deleted. He kicked my but so soundly, I tread a lot different around him. So much so at some point I was expecting a talking too by outlander imms. I think one fight ended with me making him run with spores, but that's about it. The rest I either ran like hell or died horribly to Marshall. Which is way worse than bat FWIW. People are just obsessing with the wrong skill. monks can put out more burst damage, but Marshall works on the whole group....think about that a minute....let tha sink in, and be glad he didn't gank more than he did.

I will caveat this by saying I don't know your role at all and for all I know everything below could have been done IC and for good reason.
You were absolutely the most relentless and bloodthirsty Paladin I've ever encountered. The only time I ever initiated on you was to choke you so I could kill the Mage standing beside you or to back up Grord in a gank/defense of the Village. There was one time I thirsted into you after another fight, but you clearly saw thirst drop, as it happened one or two rounds into our fight.
Despite this you attacked me on sight every time, you would lurk in the ruins/summon mobs when there were no evil Villagers online and generally act in a way I felt to be very unpaladinly. I'll give a couple of examples:
1. Once you and Rhiwe came to the Village, Grord killed Rhiwe, then you killed Grord. I rock up late and move to the Destructor. You continued to hangout outside the Village waiting, despite no evil being around and no Mage to protect. When I came out to ask why you were still there you struck me.
2. When I raided the Fort for a Mage when you were in your 40s, you prioritised summoning mobs for me to thirst into over healing the Mage I fought. As a result both the Mage and myself died.
Now I'm not whinging, we all know Zah has done more than enough to antagonise the Fort and for all I know the above was done for good reason. However I have no idea about any of that because you simply never talked. I tried several times to engage you, but you wouldn't even respond. From my perspective you were just a PK hungry Paladin who used the fact I had thirsted into you once as an excuse to kill on sight.
There's no doubt you're a great PKer, I just hope in future you put more effort into interacting with your "enemies".

1. Erhiadkeb never attacked anybody of the Balance unless they attacked him or a Fortress mage the _same_ login. It means after Zah attacked me and either of us quited - i never attacked back.
2. Zerin at least waited for me to protect the Fortress mage from him before telling me "finally" and trying to hunt me few days later. But we all know where scr's butthurt is coming from. But Zah? Simply the worst character rp-wise i met as Erhiadkeb. Yes, even worse than Zerin. Attacked me many times, waited at my pit for me to recall hurt many times. Yes, for me, not for a mage because there were no mages online in hero pk range. Overall the time you and Grord spend sitting at pits waiting for anybody to recall is insane for a villagers.
3. Yes, i don't speak with enemies unless they are someone special like Jhelruk. But i helped most followers of the Light and Balance i met and of course tried to speak with them all. But even if i was different - Zah and Zerin are the 2 characters i would never speak with anyway.
P.S. I'll also reply here for psycho or something like it from qhcf.net. You, sir are blatant lier as well as Zah. You came to us in Organia and got killed. Shapeshifter looted 4-5 of your things. Instead of regearing you spent next 15 minutes sacrificing the coins i was dropping to find the dark city. Next time i saw you 1 or 2 days later, you had at least 2/3 of you EQ and i killed you. Then killed again 3-4 hours later, that's it. You deleted after this.
As for killing 3-4 hours later. There is golden standard in CF how often you can kill. A-p's weapons don't feed on the same person if you kill them within 2 rl hours. So it's Immortals who decided long time ago that killing again after 2 rl hours is fine.

I'm...not sure this is correct. You've probably played more AP's than me, so I could be wrong, but my understanding of unholy weapons feeding is whether they are the last person you killed, period.
1. If you kill person A, then person B, then person A again 10 minutes later, you'll get a charge.
2. If you kill person A, then person A again the next day with no kills in between, you'll get no charge. At least that's my understanding.
I'm less certain about item 2, but for item 1, I ran into this as Woldrun (which was several years ago and the code may have been changed) against some ridiculous Empire AP. I was trying to retrieve and refused to just quit out, and he kept killing me. He'd get no charges out of it though, which is the only reason I kept at it. Then my dumbass cabalmate bard disregarded my order and tried to retrieve himself while I was a ghost, and got killed right as I unghosted and tried to rescue him. He died, then I died a few rounds later, and the AP got like 8 charges from me.
To my understanding, improving at assassinate works the same way. If you assassinate someone, but they are the last person you killed (in any way) you'll never improve at assassinate.

Do ap's get credit toward unholy controls by multiple killing? I know we wouldn't judge someone who killed an attacker a few times, just curious.

More than once I saw you hunting non-mages while there were mages around for you to be hunting. When asked why you said it was because there were mages in the same cabal as the people(non-mages) you were hunting. Maybe there was more to the story, but that's what I learned while being a bystander. Just gunna put that out there. This whole people in glass houses throwing stones thing is annoying as usual.

Zah is not perfect and I never claimed to be, but he does things for a reason and will communicate that with his enemies. I would also argue the bar is set differently for a savage RBW vs. a Maran Paladin.
I think the challenge here is miscommunication, Zah was doing his thing and Erhi was doing his own. From each of our perspectives we were right and the other was wrong. Jalbrin hit the nail on the head: communication with enemies is critical in these situations.
I apologise to Erhi, he seems to have taken my feedback very personally. This wasn't my intent, but echoing Jalbrin I'd strongly encourage you to talk more with your foes, it can add a lot of richness to your gaming experience!

I just had to point out that you were kind of complaining about something you yourself were doing. Constructive criticism. Use it to your advantage. See you out there.
I agree people should interact more, enemies or not. I've never said you shouldn't.

Well my life just became alot simpler, in all honestly I feel you were a big part that made fortress extremely strong.
Well done on playing a very tough character and certainly when you were on I had to be very wary. That beat down with a polearm spec under marshal rally was brutal.
It amazed me a lot of the time just how fast you could mow down the council. I would always try to defend but sometimes I would find myself 80% of the way there and then have to revert to plan B!
You were relentless and while I had some moments getting the Codex back being in a state to defend it again was another mater. I hope (And I feel like I did) I atleast kept things entertaining when you had the Codex.

There were usually 4-5 Fortress against you alone, but you always tried to retrieve. When you died you just came back to your corpse, went to regather preps and continued no matter what.
I cannot force to do the same and give up early when things don't go my way. But one day i hope to play a character the same way you are doing now, you inspired me.

Jhelruk is a great character. Even dying to him can be enjoyable because he just makes the mud better for others.

Champion is one of those classes that's good against the Imperial inners. I find some classes get ruined by them and others year them apart.
Think it might have been the fend skill that guys everyone targeting you while also improving defenses.

I'm sorry I'd refuse to ever engage you since it was far beyond hopeless for me while highly dangerous. The few times we've met I was a bit lucky to escape with my hide. Admittedly, you didn't take chances against me at the lich either, so there's that.
Thanks for making a goodie this time, at least other people can play at hero with you online.
(For those of you reading at home, don't fight a paladin with bat, lashing belt, tripping staff and divine intervention as a shaman. It shall end very badly and the probability of you not having a command go through beyond the first one is extremely high. Imagine dispel and bash combined into a single char, but without self-lag.)

It's really discouraging that people who play unusual hours like you do have so hard time becoming Marans because there is absolutely zero pks at that time.

Some random thoughts about Erhi now that he's gone:
* You were hands-down the most deadly Fort character around. Well done. I expect we'll get a bunch of copy cats now.
* Senior staff checked out some of the claims made against you on Dio's and determined the complainers were straight-up lying. I really wanted to call them out, but it wouldn't have been appropriate.
* You definitely had some fans in imm-land who wanted to see you get a leader spot. Had you stayed around a little longer you'd almost surely have been the next one tapped to lead.
* Really liked the way you made an effort to take Fort people with you on area explore trips, and how you tried to teach them stuff. Related to the above, this was one of the biggest things you had going in your favor with respect to leadership.
* I know players have been doing it forever, but count me among those who take a dim view of paladins summoning sentient non-evil mobs into harm's way. Evil mobs? Sure, let them get steam-rolled.
* In my opinion (and others may certainly disagree) the tone of your response to Zah's note left something to be desired. It didn't so much communicate "righteous anger" as it did "regular anger" with a healthy dose of "derision". Not a big deal, really; just trying to give some constructive criticism.

I have always enjoyed playing with/against you, especially at low ranks. It was nice to be able to give you a hand getting started this time and I was hoping to get more time online together than we ended up with, because most of your 300 hrs were during my vacation.
Sometimes I wish you would play less hours per day because I think you'd stick around longer if you had more competition... you're such a dominant PK presence that the enemy side tends to just disappear whenever you get going, and since you're online so much they never really have a chance to go about gathering preps and getting ready to fight you.
Anyways GLWYN, I hope you mend fences/move past recent drama and that you and all the other guys who recently quit, were denied, deleted, etc make it back sooner than later because the game is better off with the lot of you playing it.

Not everyone shares your definition of rotten.
Shaapa has shared a lot of stuff ic. More than anyone I can remember. If you guys are truly after an even playing field I haven't seen a better way of accomplishing it. Frankly I didn't even know we could provide as much info ic as he did.
This shows he actually wants to help newbies rather than himself. Most who claim newbies should be helped seem really to want help for themselves which they can then leverage over newbies.

But this Russian chat room/website provided hell info, preps, coordinated OOC.
It was cheating.
And yeah, obviously Shaapa benefited from it in the past. But anyone crying about how they've been done wrong are pathetic.
Some cheaters got nailed with indisputable evidence and faced the consequences. I'm not going to complain. And you just know that Natasha already has a new character or three from under their VPN.

I mean, suggesting that shapa had been planning this for six years? Come on. If anything, he doesn't have the attention span for it.
