I told myself I'd never CF again until I moved to the west coast, and here we are. This was supposed to be a throwaway character, elf transmuter #596201. I guess I failed at that.
A hybrid of pop culture, Daphedee was based on Kimmy Schmidt, modeled after Sarah Blackwood, named after Dee from Always Sunny, and ended up a lot more like Laura Palmer.
Side note: I'd never age died with a character, and man did I pick a doozy of a race to do it with. I had NO idea it would be so long.
On neutrality:
I don't know why this took so long. Daphedee's outlook on life was just to see the good in most people, which ultimately meant she lived in a very aura-blind world. I think I utilized a detect evil prep once, but mostly played the game that if you were friendly to me, I could be friendly to you in an ideal world. I think I managed to skirt the line decently early on, but how the align hammer didn't come down on me after giving Gaspare one of his lich quest items is beyond me. Better late than never?
Daphedee Songs:

I still don't know how I got inducted. I didn't have much direction or a grasp on what the RP would be, but thanks Whiysdan for taking a chance. SONG: Ode To My Family - The Cranberries
Khazhrim: My induct-twin! We had a lot of good adventures and you made for one hell of a stubborn dwarf. You took a lot of beatings from getting kicked out of Herald for being too paladin-y, to losing empowerment/getting turned neutral for not being paladin-y enough. I'm glad you stuck out the first one, and understand not sticking out the second. Raising a glass of warm delicious. SONG: Firework - Katy Perry
Xoog (Al): I always remember that time we were exploring Mal'trakis with I think, Whistner? I was sure we were all going to die. You were a great presence and explore partner, even though half the time I was sure you were off killing good aligned mobs with evils. Innperial Thread Lord, FTW. Also those plush bears were forever named Xoog bears after that.
Arden: I wish we had crossed paths more, but I liked your solid good-natured persona and your terrible ability to pick Imperial councils. I think I kept the paint brushes you left at the Inn until the very end.
Miakoda: So many good adventures. Sorry about the Eighth Circle. Glad we could have our girl talk sessions, usually about Adira, haha. So many good times at the bar with Dundlin too. It was sad to see you disappear, and I still absolutely love that hey nonny song of yours. One of my favorites. SONGS: If He Tries Anything - Ani Difranco The Wolf - Mumford & Sons Masochist - Ingrid Michaelson
Kowelu: Sometimes creepy, sometimes nice, always willing to throw down in the name of Heralds. We had some good early morning chats SONG: A Lack of Color - Death Cab For Cutie
Olo: Damn do you know your way around this game. Thanks for being our intrepid guide through the Inferno, and helping me get that quest item for Gaspare.
Bildot: We had some great adventures - and you came a long way with your weird initial cooking skills. Sorry your Healing Center didn't really pan out the way you wanted. It was a neat idea.
Whildur: How can you rhyme all of the time? It's crazy. Solid presence that has the ability to draw people into Herald. If even half those plans of yours mentioned at Raltevio's shrine come to fruition, it'd be awesome. Hope you make it to Satan one of these days and finish your Hell-inspired song collection. Thanks for the Daphedee a-whandering travel tunes you sang lately, they were really sweet. SONG: Hands - Jewel
Renize: I can't believe I gave up leader hours for you and you still died before I did. WTF. I loved your creative decor and the Celestial Exhibitions were a great way to get people involved who might not otherwise be inclined. You put up with a pretty mopey Daphedee so thanks for doing what you could and being a friend. SONGS: Us - Regina Spektor The Golden Girls Theme Song

1100 hours is nothing. I would have used it all up in 5-6 months at best, and still complained about it being not enough. Too bad I don't enjoy playing necromancers.
Anyway, musical goodbyes yay! I hope more people get in on the idea. Enjoy a break and play an arial bard, spiritual successor to Skeeta.

You were terrific. My favorite traveling companion, and not just because you were a transmuter, that's not even in the consideration for reasons. You were fun and uplifting while being real and honest at the same time, very cool. I had some issues in life that sapped my resolve to RP, hence the fading away. I still regret it because Miakoda was one of my favorite characters to play of all time and Daphedee had a lot to do with that. Three cheers for a great character!

I can't say enough good things, but I would like to echo Sindrir's comment that CF is a better place with you in it. Your presence was one of the few that was essential to making my throwaway thief #43953 into a long-lived and enjoyable experience. Young Renize just wanted to make you proud, and old Renize just wanted you to be happy. Congrats on the age death. I'm glad you had fun. I did too.

In response to Reply #2

I think I can count on one hand the number of times I was attacked/murdered by Empire, at least in recent memory. Overall we had a pretty solid relationship thanks to Sindrir, and I rode those coattails for as long as possible. I was a lot more proactive about being involved in the Imperial political scene early on, but as people started to die/delete, starting over and trying to establish myself as an "ally" became harder and harder. This was probably the closest thing to an Imperial I'll ever play. SONG: Team - Lorde.
Sindrir: You were the catalyst that made this something other than just throwaway elf #78503. Manipulative, threatening, and protective all at the same time, it was the perfect recipe for infecting Daph with Stockholm Syndrome. Your creepy, constant presence in the Shadowed Alcove became a comfort. I wish I had a log of drawing the Emperor card from the Deck of Fate that day - it couldn't have played out more perfectly. As promised, I never drew from the deck again. Also, thanks for teaching me about politics and in general being my gateway drug to Empire.
SONGS: Love the Way You Lie, pt III - Skylar Grey Blindness - Metric Sour Girl - Stone Temple Pilots Don't You Want Me - The Human League Heaven Beside You - Alice In Chains Hands Clean - Alanis Morissette Wuthering Heights - Kate Bush Going Under - Evanescence Spark - Tori Amos The Ballad of Grim and Lily - Bree Sharp Muscle Museum - Muse Go To Hell - David Ford I Knew You Were Trouble - Walk Off the Earth Say It Ain't So - Sarah Blackwood ft Emily Bones Marigold - Nirvana In Spite of Me - Morphine To Forgive - Smashing Pumpkins Possum Kingdom - The Toadies Little Lies - Anna Ternheim Words - Skylar Grey
Gaspare: You were without a doubt the most important person in Daphedee's world, and probably the most devastating. Couldn't have asked for a better counterpart with whom to play out hundreds of hours of misery and anguish, and have it be so fun and rewarding. You were Daph's absolute best friend and unspoken love of her life. Your becoming sickness RP was some of my favorite stuff, creepy and sad, and the Raltevio betrayal and fallout that followed was heartbreaking for Daph. And to anyone that interacted with Daph after your deletion can attest - she became a shell compared to what she once was. A lot of people obsess over IMMteraction and XP, but it's characters like this that make the game an unpredictable journey and worthwhile timesink. Thanks for all of it, and I'll post some ARRRRPEEE logs if anyone is interested.
SONGS: Overjoyed - Bastille All Dead, All Dead - Queen White Queen (As It Began) - Queen Monster - Mumford & Sons Hey Jupiter - Tori Amos Jacob Marley's Chain - Aimee Mann What Becomes of the Broken Hearted - Jimmy Ruffin School Night - Ani Difranco Speeches - Walk Off the Earth Wise Up - Aimee Mann Skeleton Song - Kate Nash Flaws - Bastille King of Pain - Police Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd Dearly Departed - Shakey Graves The Eye - Brandi Carlile Better Than I Know Myself - Adam Lambert After the Storm - Mumford & Sons Don't Die On the Vine - Sheila Nicholls Marching Bands of Manhattan - Death Cab For Cutie Let Go - Ingrid Michaelson Hurt - Nine Inch Nails The Perfect Drug - Nine Inch Nails Jackie's Strength - Tori Amos Providence - Ani Difranco Beautiful Disaster - Kelly Clarkson Mess Is Mine - Vance Joy Painting - Atmosphere Nevermore - Queen Not the Same - Ben Folds Creep - Stone Temple Pilots Haunted - Poe A World Without Love - Peter & Gordon A Minor Incident - Badly Drawn Boy Haunt - Bastille Remains - Bastille (vs Rag'n'Bone Man & Skunk Anansie) Going Through the Motions - Aimee Mann Ghost - Ingrid Michaelson Sleep Tight - The Creepshow That's How I Knew This Story Would Break My Heart - Aimee Mann Sappy - Nirvana The Ascent of Stan - Ben Folds A Common Disaster - Cowboy Junkies Helplessly Hoping - Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young The Stone - Dave Matthews Band How To Be Dead - Snow Patrol Speechless - Lady Gaga Clumsy - Our Lady Peace Disarm - Smashing Pumpkins Red Hands - Walk Off the Earth Bright Eyes - Art Garfunkel Ditmas - Mumford & Sons Demons - Imagine Dragons Cheer Up (You Miserable ####) - David Ford Poet - Bastille Cliff - Lapsley Painter - Lapsley Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) - Aurora Malibu - Hole Runaway - Aurora Oblivion - Bastille The Draw - Bastille Company Calls Epilogue - Death Cab For Cutie Tuning Out - Bastille Follow Me Home - SHEL Afterlife - Ingrid Michaelson
Caecilius: Remember when you were just a young Imperial upstart and were willing to interact with people and weren't so god damned busy? I liked that guy. The higher up the ladder you moved, the less give and take I got from you. Sad panda.
Golthazar: We stopped running into each other as often, but I always liked it when you stopped by the Inn for a chat. I'm sorry I never got you grog as promised - I don't know why all the containers have to be iron. Thanks for giving me the nudges I needed when I needed them, whether it was not giving up on Gaspare, or dragging me out to look for charms? when all I wanted was to just mope around. I hope you win the vote; the Empire could use a good woman on the throne.
Darvoderis: I loved that you went from the guy who got demoted for not being able to explain how you weren't average, to High Priest to Emperor. Your depth of RP wasn't the strongest, but I loved your stick-to-it-ness and was glad to see you on the throne.
Crizus: I really, really, really hated that you deleted. I had so much fun being being your speech tutor and helping you achieve your Imperial dreams. I think you could've gone far if you'd stuck it out.
Sulneng: You were quiet and not very evil, and I liked that. You didn't seem to have much aspiration for the throne though, and ultimately I can see why you decided continuing the character wasn't for the best.

Thank you for giving me the push to try for Emperor when every logical part of me just wanted to delete. My only regret is that we didn't have more time together. Along with Kregan you were the most important piece to the Sindrir puzzle.
Also I really appreciated all the cave viper crystals you'd leave in my alcove. It brought a smile to my face every time I'd wander through the Inn with a lowbie.

So, so, so great.
For a long stretch of Gaspare's "life," you were a primary reason I looked forward to logging on. If you're looking for permission, you can post any logs you have of me. You really inspired me to up my RP game and we played off of one another very well. It was cool to see how weirdly complementary our roles were -- we even had the same sphere, which I don't think I realized until after I liched. You're a blast.
Also, I just can't even fathom the effort and energy it must have taken to make and place all of those items every logon, even after the characters they paid tribute to were long gone.
I loved the death echoes, by the way. It was kind of beautiful, kind of tragic, and thoroughly fitting for Daphedee.
Thanks so much for the many hours of fun and for making the game a better place for everyone who crossed your path.

I didn't interact with a ton of you, but:
Aufang: You were a cool cat. One of the first people I worked with re: tailed star quest. I wish I could remember more about our interactions but that was ####ing forever ago. I just remember thinking you were awesome.
Dundlin: Three musketeers! I loved all our stupid gossipy chats at the Inn with Mia, or hanging out with you and Gaspare. Remember when you asked me to marry you? Haha. Good times.

Thanks for the shout out because that was ####ing forever ago. I wish we could have progressed more in that quest but trying a go at it on your side was just great.
I also want to thank you for the buffs those times I decided to take on the Village (which was always!)
I played a Villager after Aufang, Terxaxous, and remember letting my fandom for Daphedee bleed through a bit. I don't recall fighting you or having opportunity to do so but I didn't go looking for you and I even tried to RP a standoffish villager with you at the inn a time(and not attack which I think you may have expected me too) .
I also had a short lived squire, Arandalok, that we had some interaction with that I thought was great. You kind of betrayed his confidence a bit when he inquired of you about the elf healer turned bad. I didn't know it at the time but I think this was around your alignment transition. It made for an interesting situation I think because Arandalok had to learn that things aren't always as they seem and perhaps he shouldn't be too trusting even with those of the light. I thought it was cool that you took the time to approach him later to discuss it further, even though he was just some mid range character.
Just all around awesomeness. Well done!

I specifically remember that time you came to the inn with Terxaxous and I just wasn't sure what you'd do - I've seen ragers go both ways from being respectful to being there to get the job done.
I actually really liked Arandalok and was kinda looking forward to seeing how that whole dynamic played itself out, but you disappeared. IIRC, I think I was still good aligned at the time.

I had tons of fun with you as Dundlin. You kept me in the loop with a lot of things and kept me from getting bored when things were down or slow. I probably wouldn't have played him nearly as long as I did if you weren't around. You and a few others made the Inn feel like a home away from home. I wasn't sure what to expect after coming back to the game from a long hiatus. I never felt all that confident about role-playing but you(and Gaspare) made it so easy and fun. Thank you thank you thank you for making the experience that much more special.
P.S. Even though I was trying to be drunk and joking around you should have accepted my proposal.=p

Urgandtol: I'm not sure who was more surprised at Sindrir's attempt to rescue me from you in the alcove, you or me. As it turns out, I didn't die in a fire, or choke on a pillow, but I never took it personally when you told me to. You were a cool presence.
Varnon: Ugh, you were so annoying. That time you bludgeoned your way into the bar and then killed Maellina, it was somewhat satisfying watching you get escorted out of the Lyceum repeatedly because you weren't vouched, haha.
Grimghal: When you killed me at the bar for hugging you, that was ####ing hilarious. You were a beast to watch (I sure love duo for this), and I'm glad you were usually well mannered at the Inn. Thanks for giving me that poncho of Melissa after I told you where to find her, it was a surprise but a nice gift nonetheless for a mage who had just lost all her magic. Also, you know you loved that painting. SONGS: Shankill Butchers - Sarah Jarosz Glory and Gore - Lorde.

Hah, we almost always have a good relationship. From Ghrummin to Grimghal, loved both your immortal and mortal characters. And yes, I loved that painting ... but Grim can't be a softy to mages you know!
Well done! Maybe I'll return in some incarnation or something. Also, I'm in SF area of California. If you ever stop by, hit me up for a drink!

So well done.
I had to come after the peace loving magi high herald of the inn, when I was in battle (later commander) and a follower of the evil god of war.
My own regret is not getting you.

One of the driving forces in Tanzer's life, thank you for always raising the bar RP-wise with all of us secret Heralds.
All around top notch, awesome job and one of my favorite characters of all time.
I was playing a different character when all of the Innperial stuff was going on, but one of my goals in rolling up Tanzer was to interact with the person who came up with all that stuff.
You will be missed.

Creepy evil was the vibe I was going for. From what I understand, I do this well. That, and chaotic stupid.
As for Miakoda - if you care, you can read the role.
I tried so hard to get you caught up in one of my many lies, just so I could kill you. It was difficult at times not to mix knowledge, because I had a herald, but I think I kept it pretty compartmentalized.
But, you were too paranoid, and that kept you alive.
I've known Daphadee through a couple of characters, including Altrana(Fort), Kieriel (Herald), and Kyrenthia (Outlander).
You are one of the best RP'ed non-pk chars I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with.. You make it feel like its personal - which is very hard to do in a non-personal 2d text game.
You should be writing childrens books or something.
Enjoy life.

I gave up on Fortress after many attempts to convince cabal members to stop by the Inn/interact - which led Daph to seek out people who WOULD interact with her, (see: Empire). So congrats on that guys, lolz. There were a handful of times I was grouped with Lithodora and/or Errylk discussing plans to intercept Golthazar's attempts at retrieval at the Tree, and I absolutely warned Golthazar about it. Yup. SONGS: Where Is The Love? - Black Eyed Peas You Don't Know Me - Ben Folds
Luthantulas: You were like a big brother that Daphedee hid all her secrets from, but still let him think she was a sweet little sister. Never did come down for that last glass of wine. Good luck with IMMdom.
Seayon: Far and away the best Acolyte I interacted with. You were kind, willing to listen, understanding, and a warm presence to be around. Despite your odd hours, your deletion was a huge loss to Fort in my book.
Liffy: You were probably the first person to accuse Daph of being an Imperial defender/sympathizer. Other than that, I thought you were a total nutter.
Errylk: Thanks for checking in on me. So few of the Fortress did this, that it really stood out.
Gulrom: I was sad to see you delete. Similar feelings about you as Seayon. I'm not sure where that unprompted quote came from ("You can do the impossible because you've been through the unimaginable"), but it was exactly what Daph needed to hear. Thanks for being a solid, good presence who still cared about a neutral elf.
Balgrum: I'm so glad to see you get Cardinal. You're a fun-loving dwarf with a heart of gold, who goes out of his way to help people become better. Congrats!

Oh my goodness! You were incredible. The cast of Herald over the course of this characters life has been nothing short of phenomenal. I really struggled in my earlier years with my RP, and how to roleplay this shaman of Mercy, but thanks to you and renize and whildur and hamzah and all the other great heralds, I managed to find just having conversations with people was infinitely more interesting than trying to PK, esspecially as an acolyte. You and Renize both encouraged me with the celestial exhibition, and I think that my entry is what really helped solidfy my role, and how I was going to play my character! It will be tough out there without your support! Please role something else, your presence in the game is just totally needed. Thanks for all the good times, and the Thror doll incident with Zermon will by far remain one of my favorite moments!

What a fantastic character, so many angles and dimensions came through whenever you were about, it was truly a pleasure to interact with you. Seems Seayon was only around for a few of the many interesting parts of Daph's life, I wish I could have gotten to find out more about it all but as you said I do hold some strange hours. Thanks for challenging and inspiring me become a more diverse RP'er, it has been a long time since the last and it really got me into the game again.
Anyhow, don't mean to ramble! Good luck with whatever comes next, I am sure it'll be just as epic!
Seayon.

Jeede: I wish we'd gotten to interact more over the course of the last year. You seem like a really interesting character, and I think in light of Gaspare's final plans, we could've hit it off. Thanks for letting me sit in on that conversation with Jino.
Cainasir: A shame you got banned from the Inn. It was damn near impossible for us to interact after that. Your input of "You shouldn't love something so much you can't stand to see it die" enlightened Daph as to why she helped Gaspare with his lich quest that she might not have otherwise realized.
Jinoquio: You're an odd duck, but I kinda like it.

Selionar: Greets to ye small lady! You were always a solid presence early on, but seemed to fizzle later. Always missed seeing you around.
Hitrilipimi: Thanks for biting the bullet in the Eighth Circle. I'm pretty sure Olo was ready to throw Bromgrin under the bus. :p
Laeden: One of my favorite later-year moments was that story about love and madness you told to me, Gaspare, and Dionis. I think I have it logged somewhere. I'll probably post it at some point.

Say it ain't so. The Inn has been quiet since Renize left and now with you gone. Ugh. Not to mention the plan for restoring balance is losing allies. I always enjoyed our conversations and your encouragement.
