Actually, always did want to Bee ya. Cloud of Wasps is a great spell.

Well this character was pretty much another one of much another one of my CF bucket list characters that I only failed to accomplish 2 things with but that I was close enough to fulfilling that I felt like I could pull the cord.

First off, I wanted to play a long winded elf that didn’t come off as self-righteous and abrasive to friend and foe alike. I think I did that pretty well.
Second off, I wanted to play a Baer tatt’ed Plainsrunner animist and gather up some progging gear to compensate for losing third attack and see if I could use the animist pursuit skill to chase people around who weren’t prepped to the 9’s and hurt them enough to finish them off with my wasps if they managed to escape.
I fought and lost enough to know that my idea would not bear fruit. I think I was nearly unstoppable to the light dexy raced warriors and thieves who didn’t have prep and HP enough to resist some of my spell damage output, but pretty much everyone, and I do me EVERYONE owned me.
I would like to point out that I had horrific troubles with lag. Especially when PK started. A lot of the fights that left my cooling corpse and people shaking their heads in pity and wonder are fights I have never had a problem drawing out to my advantage or escaping before.
My last fight against scree was me watching him killing me in real time only to die and then have my commands go through.
I can’t help but think there is some dynamic that is involved when PK’s are in progress still but I don’t know what it could be.
Baerinika, thanks for the initiate status, that courage boost for when I went to fight that mino. P.S. I martyred myself there. I could have one that fight and I tried to RP him to leave but he forced me to chase him down and I got one of those nice little lag spikes right as I hit him. Ah well, I was embarrassed but you gave me the last name so that really was a pick me up and I kept going. Anyway, I had a lot of fun. Baerinika is pretty much the only immortal persona I like in the game. Even more now that I understand a little more about you tht I learned from others. I will be back.
Rogran, thanks a bunch for being Aetholas’s friend, I really had a good time with you and felt like given time we would have had a lot of fun interacting outside of the group. I was irked bad though when you came looking for Heben when I told you were I was looking for her. I do not like PK’ing in groups and I was in desperate need of some sort of victory. I kept competing for available combat out there with you tribs and that was frustrating. Can’t blame you though!

Eachaiinn: Had a lot of fun talking with you. You didn’t come off as high and mighty and that is an attitude that has kept me out of Fortress for years. I have almost universally despised Fortressites since Shokai left. I think I may revisit it again soon.
That little ranger, you know who you are. I put you on perma ignore and I #gagged your says, tells, and whispers. I just didn’t like you and so I cut you out of my experience as much as possible.

And yes, for those of you who didn’t guess. I am Pro.
I got a call from an old commander of mine asking if I wanted to deploy overseas. I had suffered a pretty catastrophic series of events in my life, of a sort that you can’t imagine so war seemed easy and I took it.
That was February of this year and I have recovered from all things and returned to the level of health I had 10 years ago. Although I was injured on my first mission (Not by enemy fire) and I was off the road a month, I got back up and have been out ever since. I did lead my last convoy a week and a half ago or so, and it was a monumental achievement for me for personal reasons.
The facilities where I am are good and my schedule was such that in free time I had plenty of time to play out favorite game. So this has actually been a huge part of keeping me sane (er).
Oh, and Matrik, I looked again. There is no dry quicksand up there.
Oh yeah! And one final thing, as a convoy commander, I had to have a placard in the window of all my Third Country National Trucks that we escorted into Iraq. On that placard had to be a picture, both for ease of marking and so the non English speaking truckers could recognize their convoys in the FOBS. My symbol was the CF Knight emblem, since our Company moto is “Knights of the road!”
I have some pics of them I’ll share some day soon.

Since you're a CF vet, I'll give it to you straight:
Interpreted inane/disttracting chatter(there was a bunch of it), poor timing/appreciation of requests, and abrasive/anger control issues as young foolishness.
Tried to beat a better appreciation of tactics and some horse sense past the young foolishness: not sure it helped.
Had a long discussion in the shrine between Vallinane, Baer, and myself about you, initiated by Baer, guess the results of that won't pan out.

Question, since you're going public: how many characters have you had that haven't gotten along well with Argivo?

Good luck and come home safe.

And I know you won't believe this, but I actually started to miss you.

I'm not being sarcastic or joking.

Unlike funnyone, you're never a ####, just a little misinformed. And your chars, other than their "Pro"-isms, are pretty quality. Plus, man, you really really make me laugh some times

Sorry to hear that you went through some hard times, and hope things are going well for you now.

And aside from Alston, and a dwarf that helped rank Solin up and gave that one arial warrior the nickname "Chirp", I've only had some lowbies.

I have been trying to fake esl/newbism to throw people off the scent. But I'm just too me.

I'd have liked you better if you cut out the smack talk that this character did. I haven't noticed it on any of your other characters but this one left a bad taste in my mouth.

I know it wasn't just me, because other people were telling me where you were purely because you talked smack to them too.

Hope real life works out for you. I've generally been a fan of your characters.

Why would anyone talk smack when they have a 2 v 20 PK ration with one being AFK?

At no point did I talk smack. Aetholas was a vengeful elf. Again, I encourage people to read the help files on elven speech.

Sorry if it came across that way.

P.S. Maybe if you were a Nexun I did. But I think that cabal is crap and is generally terrible for the game so I don't encourage it.

I wrote the cabal a letter telling the members to leave me alone.
I can't justify a Fortress applicant/member travelling with a Nexun.

A lot of you guys were asking me to travel and as much as I like typing paragraph long sentences, I got tired of turning you all down.

So I just went ahead and put it all out there so there wouldn't be anymore hurt feelings.

The note simply said "Don't bother me", except in a long winded fashion.

As helpful as you may have tried to be, you were still a douche to me, and responding to your douche-ness in an in-character manner got me an ignore, which is another douche move. So you're a ####ing douche.

But I'm still not happy to see you delete, because I found your combo rather interesting, and what little RP I got to experience from you was interesting as well.

So, thank you for your service to our country and good luck with your next.

I answered your first question about the item you sought, I even gave you one of them and told you it would be very dangerous for you to go get one yourself yet you went there anyway and died. Afterward you blamed me. I thought that was pretty efing lame.

So what I did the next time I had a chance was go buy a weapon I couldn't use so I could go tank some MOBS you couldn't possibly handle to help you get out of that hole. I did this before I even spoke to you because (And I know you couldn't know this.) I wanted to help you recover by taking you to a place that would be optimal and safe with me leading you, but would be time consuming and unsafe for you.

An lo! What do I find out? That you had just fallen to a MOB in that area. We talk a little and you tell me you have been ranking there, alone.
At any rate I start to explain to you what I have in mind and you have a pity party meltdown and start accusing me of not helping or leading. So I basically ignored you.

Then you would follow me around whispering and saying things that I would scroll off my screen. I got tired of that and just used a gag.

In a nutshell, I was going to explain to you the optimum path for ranking a ranger in the best time with the best skill/spell learning. But you really ####ed that up.

Take responsibility for your own actions.

I'm pretty sure I have run into you with other characters. You are stupid in the way you perceive ranking. You, along some others can't seem to figure out a little concept called EXP per Hour vs EXP per kill.

Pro tip: I have left many many groups over the years and either kept pace solo with them our passed them up because they can't wrap this around their heads.

And how much time did you waste getting a potion that would have at best, come into play for a matter of seconds, or as happened to me go to waste when the opponents would simply word out or leave before combat?

A decent portion of your post is wrong. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate you trying to help and I even mentioned that in character and out.

Here's the wrong parts:
"and told you it would be dangerous for you to get one yourself"

When I asked you for some information on where to get a prep like that FOR SOMEONE LIKE ME, you told me that place. Said to go for a specific mob, and warned me that there were 'dangerous things in the area'. You did not say the mobs would be unkillable. They weren't, they were just hard. I could have worn them down. Me dying there was a complete fluke as Detect Invis had fallen and I didn't see it fall. I specifically told you I did not blame you for dying there, so you're wrong twice in this part.

"We talk a little and.... pity party meltdown, etc"

First off, what I told you is that I had been training there because I had no other bloody choice. Getting a group was ridiculously difficult. When I told you this you jumped on the condescension bandwagon you'd been riding most of the time we'd been talking, and I am sorry but taking that from your char just did not fit with Beastie's RP, so I -roleplayed- frustration towards your character. This resulted in you being even more condescending and now out of character, different than when you were just talking down to me (RP), by putting me on ignore (borderline OOC).

"Then you would follow me around whispering and saying things that I would scroll off my screen. I got tired of that and just used a gag."

This is correct - I definitely roleplayed even further, even through your ridiculously out-of-character ignore move, to try and correct the situation in a proper RP manner consistent with my role. You did not, you acted ridiculous. This game is RP enforced.

I clearly took responsibility for my actions. You clearly ignored all roleplay involved and just got a little butthurt about someone telling you they did not like you talking down to them.

Also, you're likely wrong again. You probably have not run into me with other characters because I've only had this one and another in the past eight months.

And then on to my last point that you are incorrect about:

I accused you of being a bad leader because instead of talking down to his men a good leader leads them. It is not because you did not hold my hand and show me what to do, it is because you talked down to me while you did it. If your character had been less condescending that would never have happened - again this is a conflict of role, not ooc.

I was training / ranking there because, even if it is dangerous, the danger is usually manageable and a ranger with my kind of role specifically goes after things that can mess you up. It's a flaw. There's nothing wrong with roleplaying your flaw, even when you think it might get you killed.

I think that given the appropriate circumstances I am a fantastic roleplayer, and you, with your direct move to the ignore button due to ooc butthurt, missed out on that. You could have role'd through it, but you chose not to. Your choice, and that choice makes you kind of a douche.

Good luck with your next. Try not to take it ooc and hate on my character for no good reason with the new one.
