At 1 o'clock PM, Day of Thunder, 17th of the Month of Nature
on the Theran calendar Balta perished, never to return.

Before anyone starts assuming anything, I decided to delete on my own accord. Right after I immed, my business picked back up a bit.. so my times went down hill, well recently two projects have come my way that could really help me build my business back up to where it was about 3 years ago (around 20 employees) currently I am down to 4... these projects will most likely consume 90% of my time for the next year or so. I have developed friendships with many of the staff here and as a friend, I would not wish to put any of them into a position of having to ask me to step down so have done it myself.

I have been playing since around 95/96 and this is the first time I ever attempted a heroimm and this experience has opened up my eyes to many facets of the game, the most prominent being exactly how much time someone donates to the game to add new features and keep it running smoothly.

I do plan on being back one way or another but am just unsure as to when that may be exactly... and of course it will be another outlander

I can't remember which character I was playing, but I certainly didn't expect you to rescue me (by getting me the key after I chased someone in without it). It was very nice of you to do so -- if I was a newb, it would definitely have made a positive impression.

But we've met a few times before, and _every_ single time I had a blast, mortal and imm-. Anyway, you obviously had the greatest impact on the development of Zosi; hell, I still pass along the advice you gave me early on (sometimes I even give you credit!). As long as I'm around, hopefully even a fraction of your tenure as Harbinger, you will not be forgotten.

All that said, great news about the success in the real world. Wish you all the best and can't wait till we're running together again.

Balta as a mortal was really important to Oryn, and was definitely a mentor to him. All the stuff you turned into wood was also super awesome. I thought there was a ton of potential for Balta as an IC imm, too. C'est la vie.

From Truhukk trying to talk his way out of an asskicking to
Thwrerrorip going WTF?!?! when you jumped me out near oh what
was that place? Barovia That was it! While not always a 'pleasure'
it was certainly entertainment. Real life has a habit of throwing
things your way just when things are getting 'good' for you in CF.
Recently something pretty awesome happened in my other semi-real
life that is making it hard to keep up with the poor bastard I'm
playing now. After he's gone I REALLY REALLY have to take a long
break. I'm glad to hear your real life stuff is good new though.
And hey look at it this way, you put the pressure on now, and in
a bit if it keeps up you hire some of the old people back and
bam you might get a little free time here and there.
If you have the heart for it, and it seems like you haven't
burned bridges you should totally try to heroimm again.

Bajula, I just gotta tell you I almost never read what you post due to your stream-of-consciousness no-paragraph no-formatting messes.

I know you're capable of formatting and stuff, I've read some of your roles. I don't know if it is because you are putting in a carriage return rather than letting the text wrap in this little box that we type in, or what.

It's too bad because from what I *do* read, you seem to be generally a positive commenter and have good stories or points.

to the side to see things when people let it wrap, drives me
nuts. I'm old and can't see tiny type anymore so I quit setting
the resolution to 8 billion by 6 billion or whatever it is
people are using now-a-days. So I post my stuff the way *I*
can deal with.

Here's a tip: Try making a new paragraph after every 2-3 sentences. That's a tip one of my old teachers gave me and it has done me well.

Dude, just set your monitor res higher, and use your browsers font size increaser macgically everything will be visible and readable, from one blind bastard to another

I set font size for all of windows before, and it didn't work out
well, Never tried just setting a specific font size on the browser
maybe force everything to use that size? Then you'll run into some jacked up websites and everything ELSE I use the comp for will be too tiny. Nice idea though. I'll stop replying on balta's thread now.
