At 1 o'clock PM, Day of the Moon, 14th of the Month of the Frost Giant
on the Theran calendar Amos perished, never to return.

Well here's the deal. I always wanted to try a Giant Axe/hand Maelstrom/Enigma.

I was thinking Breaking weapons/Hooking with some thief/assassin protection would be fun. Tribunal would be great for the extra detects.

I one a grand total of One fight and that was against Funnyone who subsequently threatened me with a full loot.

I was in The Spire less than 20 minutes I think. =)

Amos was Sphere vanity Rayihn follower but when I got booted I decided to just play him mechanicaly for the most part to see if I could make the legacies work. I couldn't make any thing work.

Wiril... What ever man, not sure how ganging/picking on people wonded from fights gives you enjoyment, but you seemed alright through other interactions.

To all Nexun characters: I hate the cabal concept so that's where that comes from. Nothing personal.

I gotta say, I didn't know about Tribunal, All I knew was that you were are Fort App. From the first time Morin spoke with Amos, he disliked him intensely. Not nearly serious enough for the Battle we're fighting was all the impression I got. Even when Morin tried to hint at that fact, it never went away. Then the Note about Jallastan, and I only have half the story that I got in about 5 minutes before logging off, You were going to have a really really tough row to get into the Brigade.

Maybe I'm missing something, but it sure doesn't seem like you answered his question about the three circumstances under which you can place a warrant.

Also, "not true" is a fine response. Lying requires intent. All he was saying is that the thing you said was, in fact, not true. That doesn't necessarily mean you were lying.

It seems that the issue here was miscommunication. From my POV your answer to Gleebrok just wasn't clear.

This is the issue. It's not clear to Gleebrok. It's not clear to me, either.

My reading of your comments makes it seem like you think that warrants cannot be placed if the Scales are not in The Spire.

Obviously, that's not true, and that's not what you think, but that's what you seem to be saying.

Question: What are the three times you can place a warrant?

In spire terms a WARRANT is issued thus:

Flagging someone is not placing a warrant, it's flagging them or marking them. A warrant is a specific thing with a specific process in the spire. Of the top of my head I can think of 16 ways of flagging someone (17 if you count loitering in the spire foyer) But there are only 3 reasons to Issue a warrant or perhaps 4 if you really want to split hairs.

1 No scales. (Exactly as I said)
2 Ghost
3 Criminal is undetectable.
4 Other Magistrate is a ghost and asks you too.

If he wasn't talking about this, why did he fixate on the scales thing? I answered him in a way that suggested there was actual paperwork involved and not a series of 1's and 0's. I.E. RP considerations that stretch beyound the tell comand.

You're being rather difficult in refusing to admit you were wrong in that situation. First off, not having the Scales is never a factor in flagging someone. So that first item should not even be there. Tribunal can place/issue/flag/whatever you want to call it that makes you happy regardless if they have the Scales or not. You were dicing words and playing semantics and it got you kicked out of the Spire. Especially the were you were being belligerent to a senior magistrate.

Another thing I'd like to mention that placing a warrant on someone is synonymous with flagging someone a criminal. Which is what his question was. I.e. 'What are the three times you can place a warrant?' would have the same answer if he asked 'What are the three times can you flag someone?'.

the information about when to PEN, aka NOTE, to "issue" a warrant, ie i cant mark them myself, is in the spire, and therefore a random applicant WOULD NOT KNOW ABOUT IT.

Re-read the log. It isn't exactly clear but he is also speaking over the cb, was asked to come to the magistrate library, and Radik kicked him out of Spire by inducting him into None.

As far as I can tell, the disconnect is that Gleebrok was asking about the situations in which you can flag someone but used the word "warrant". Amos took that literally to mean the written notes Magistrates send when they're unable to flag someone and answered accordingly.

In retrospect I'm not entirely sure he (Amos) was wrong. But, since I don't have access to the inside of the Spire I can't be sure.

It's not semantics because the tribunal specifically distinguishes between warrants ISSUED and warrants SERVED all the time.

They even put it in the title of their posts all the time.

However, I personally misunderstood that line of his for a different reason. I thought he was asking whether the guy was trying to take issue (i.e. argue) or serve (i.e. do his job).

-Issuing a warrant is the decision to you make, based on some crime, to mark someone wanted.

-Serving a warrant is mechanically typing wanted bob y.

-Warrant you issued but could not serve (typing wanted did not work for some reason) can be issued via note for others tribunals to serve.

-For warrants issued and served by yourself, I can understand people talking about issuing the warrant, since that the important part. Serving is just the mechanics that follows the issued warrant.

However, whether or not you have scales has nothing to do with whether or not you can issue or serve warrants. Amos claimed that it did, which, coupled with his attitude, led to his booting. Or that's what I think it was.
