Brakath the Blunt Bolt from the Blue, Natural Pragmatist
DescriptionThe man standing before you seems rather clean cut. His deep auburn hair is cropped short and arranged neatly atop his head. His goatee is trimmed short and neat, and frames his rather angular features rather well. The deep green of his eyes seem to lazily take in the world around him. In a rather strange contrast, his nicely pressed clothing seems to be riddle with a myriad of rips, tears and dirt stains. Despite this, each and every article he wears is perfectly folded and pressed. The way he moves seems to match his eyes as he seems to have a lazy grace about him.

RoleChapter 2 A little bit later than the early years Added Tue Sep 6 00:52:17 2005 at level 6:- So I've walked so far in the desert I've managed to find my way into the woods. I've gotten good at finding water and food out here on my own, and finally gotten over my aversion to getting dirty. I still try to keep my clothes nice and pressed and wrinkle free though. I've found a few ways to make it easier too. I like it out here in the woods. It's nice. I saw some wolves threatened by a rival pack. The mother went out and charged head on the rivals. They got away with one cub, but she managed to save two by running them off. It was uneventful, but reminded me of what my dad did. He should have killed the raiders. Hows the cliched phrase go? Sometimes you have to break some eggs to make an omelette. I think that makes more and more sense now. No women again though. This is disappointing.
- I joined the Academy in Tir-talath. It's a virtual buffet of beautiful women. It's perfect. Also, I figure it's far enough from my father's shadow nobody will try to kill me. I'm learning to be a druid. I really liked it out in the woods, and I want to know more about how all that works. I also want to do things right where my dad got it wrong. It's not the time to be kind and compassionate, that can't happen while so many just plain bastardly and dastardly people are running loose. So. I'm going to kill them. All of them. Then we can work on being nice. Until then, I'm not letting anything get in my way, and there's not much I'm not going to do to hunt down each and every one of them. Once their gone, then we can start working on being peaceful. I mean they're the reason it can't be peaceful.
- The Academy has been asking things like 'what is good and evil' a lot. It's interesting to me. I guess my dad would be good. I'm not sure I would be though. Evil is bad though, I'm pretty sure of that, and thats who I want to stop. I just don't think you can truly be good, and do all that is needed to actually stop something. Morality gets in the way of some necessary actions. It also gets in the way of a few things I just find fun, but thats not exactly important. I'm taking on a crusade. I'm not a paladin. I won't ever be a paladin, but because I'm not a paladin, I'm going to be able to do more than a paladin ever could. It makes sense in my head. I hope it makes sense in Dalteric's.

RoleChapter 3 The Early Years Added Tue Sep 6 00:51:07 2005 at level 6:- I walked into our home to be informed by the servants of some rather surprising news. Father was cooking dinner. He usually left it to the cooks. This worried me of course. I liked the food our cooks prepared. Father had hardly ever lifted a finger in the kitchen. Apparently he'd been named to some position of substantial power within the Sultan's court. I wasn't sure. I didn't pay attention to that stuff, but father was happy. He was a good guy too. He was the kind of guy who'd stop on the street to not only give the beggars a few coins, but talk to them, even show them things to maybe get them on their feet. He was always giving, it was a wonder we were so rich. If there was one thing he shouldn't be giving it was food cooked by his own hand. It was going to be a long night. I think I'll go for a walk after dinner. I was probably going to need a good place to vomit anyway, and dad was going to be bragging all night long anyway. He did hire a new servant girl who was pretty easy on the eyes. I should introduce myself.
- Going for a walk in the desert was not my brightest idea. I'm lost. It's interesting though. I'm fending for myself, living off the land, and ridiculously hot and thirsty. I should do this more often. You never know when I might have to do this. I'm pretty sure all those things I've learned about how to properly sit down at a noble dinner gathering won't do me much good out here, or how to properly fold clothing. I do like a well folded tunic though, it just feels better without wrinkles in it. I've had to take a lot of time to make sure mine stays smooth out here, but it's worth it. I began to realize I missed looking at women a great deal being alone.
- Well after a few months of everything being boring, it got exciting again. Dad's dead. It's strange. I feel like I should be more sad but I'm not. I never really saw much of him though, he was always busy with things other than me. So our house came under attack. I guess a lot of people were mad that dad had been doing a lot to help out the paladin's guild of Hamsah Mu'tazz, which, well wasn't the most popular profession in the town. We're sandwiched between the Palace and the Chasm, so those types of people usually held more sway. When people did things to go against that, well, pressure was put on. Dad didn't listen, and he paid. He could have survived though. He's a competent swordsman, but instead of engaging the raiders, he went back inside our burning estate to make sure each and every one of our servants was out safe. Ironically, they all ended up dying anyway, just by steel instead of fire. It's too bad. One of them was really pretty cute and fun to be around. Actually two of them were, but they didn't know about each other. That could have been trouble if they would have found out. Anyway, back to what dad did. I guess it was noble, but it didn't do much in the end. Oh, how did I live? I ran into the desert again. I think mom lived too...

RoleChapter 1 Summary Added Tue Sep 6 00:52:50 2005 at level 6:A brief overview of how this guy will act:
He will, by in large, hunt evil. He also won't care whatever he has to do to get to them. Tricking them, deceiving them, killing innocent things to get to them, none of that are below him. He isn't truly 'good' in that he doesn't place other people ahead of himself. He places himself and his crusade as his two highest priorities. He sees good as 'right', but doesn't see them as able to deal properly with the problems in the world because of their moral reservations. He sees himself as able to undertake the necessary evils to defeat evil, and then 'good' can start doing what they need to do to reform the world as peaceful. Most of the inspiration from this came from observing nature. He saw time and time again creatures willing to sacrifice their own and children just to survive. He's paralleled this logic to the world.
His view on nature is nothing like the Outlanders. He doesn't view cities as unnatural. Some animals make homes and communities, humanity does too, theirs are just larger and more elaborate. He's more comfortable in the woods obviously, but civilization isn't an abomination to him. He respects nature and reveres it in that it was his inspiration for his way of life, and it is what saved him as he fled.
He also likes women. A lot. This isn't anything out of the ordinary for a man, but his love of them borders on downright worhsip. This makes things interesting when a woman is evil. That will create perhaps the biggest stumbling block for Brakath to figure out in his head when it comes to dealing with an evil woman. He will probably try to rationalize some way so that he can be okay with not fighting or stopping them. Perhaps the easiest way for him to be okay with killing an evil woman is, rather vainly, they aren't interested in him.
