Chapter 1

Always full of questions, she learned all she could from the wise women. They
considered training her as a priestess, but she seemed to lack the spark, the
connection to the divine. Also, while well schooled in the ways of Innis and
village life, not all of the teachings seemed to respond that well with
Ilimya. The wise women were at loss. Ilimya was obviously a very gifted young
woman, but the village was not a place for her. As a last act of charity, the
wise women arranged for Ilimya to come to the Adventurer's Academy and maybe
find her role in the great scheme of things from there.

She found the Academy interesting, but the city it was located in was filthy,
noisy, and filled with despicable fools that would not last a day in the
wilds. Utterly appalled, she left as quickly as possible. Sacrificing a drunk
to the Ancients, she seemed to hear something new: a faint whisper, a deep
rumble. 'Feed us', it seemed to say. 'We hunger. Cleanse the filth, let the
blood feed us. Cull the weak, that the natural order may be restored.' This
struck something deep within Ilimya. She was beginning to find her own path.

Chapter 2

Ilimya is intelligent, curious and actively seeks new experiences. She loves
to learn and to be surprised. She relish physical activity, especially the
thrill the danger of combat offers. She likes discussion, both concrete and
more abstract issues. Sometimes she will argue, just for the sake of it, as
she is drawn to conflict. She will lie without hesitation, for fun or if it
suits her purpose.

Ilimya is not very patient. 'Life does not wait' as she is fond of saying.
She despises weakness, but is impressed by strength, quick wits and
self-suffiency. She is utterly devoid of compassion and has a matter of factly
attitude towards aiding others. She has little concern for what other thinks
of her. While proud in her own way, it is an inner pride, not dependent on
praise or status.

Having been told her mother was killed by duergars and due to the general
attitude of the village, Ilimya suffers from deep animosity to this race. She
will not travel with any of them and is in general very suspicious of their
motives.

Ilimya does not think of herself as either a dark-elf or a jade elf. She is
something else, a unique being, who cannot be let herself be burdened by
conformity and the notions of others of what she should be like. Nevertheless,
she still feels some ties to the Lallenyha and will not kill a jade elf
without good reason.

While not a stranger to the pleasures of the flesh, she is aware of the
complications associated with such. She does _not_ wish to bear a child
presently and so tends to hold off men interested in a more intimate
relationship.

Chapter 3

Ilimya was raised among the three wise women of the village Lallenyha as an
act of compassion. Her highly pregnant mother were on an expedition to the
jade tombs, when her party were assaulted by a duergar party. Ilimya's mother
might have prevailed, had the tumult not made her go into labor. All of the
dark-elves were killed and the duergar party left. A jade elf hunter had
watched the spectacle and found the infant when he searched the bodies.
Unsure of what to do, his conscience bid him save the child.

She was brought up according to the 'Old Ways of the Ancients' and taught the
teachings of Innis. At first ridiculed by the other children of the village
due to her strange, black skin, she soon taught them to shun her because of
her barbed tongue. Some of the adults were more accepting, but many threw her
hard glances, only staying their hands because of the word of the wise
women. Nevertheless, Ilimya never found reason for complaint during her
childhood. She seemed to accept her solitude and if one watched her when she
was alone, one would see a fierce joy experiencing the wonders of the world.
