Laenelis the Bearer of the Molten Circle, Blessed of the Ancients
DescriptionThis lightly tanned elf looks quite savage. Matted brown locks of hair fall down about his face in dirty clumps. The layers of dirt on his skin give it an even darker shade than most of his kin. His green eyes are shifty making him seem even more wild. He stands at just over six feet tall and is slender and wiry. And while he appears to be an uneducated forest tramp, the clever crafting of his clothing would indicate nothing less than an artisan. The pelt of a large black panther sits atop his head and drapes down his back. The top set of teeth still jutting from the mouth and covering his crown while the forepaws are draped around his neck and held together by an intricately carved wooden toggle. The teeth from the lower jaw are cleverly affixed to the dark soft leather clothing he wears in various places and add to an over all effect of ferociousness. It seems the claws have been individually attached to the panther's pelt to run from the top of the head down the back in two rows in a fashion that makes them appear as if they were always there. His face has been painted with some type of sea clay. The smell emanating from him goes well beyond "musky". At first glance giving him the visage of some miscreant born of the Abyss.

Wed Nov 30 22:32:44 2005 by 'Amaranthe' at level 33 (70 hrs): Also just for comic relief, I find a priest of the "Father of Anger" with the title "Father of the Flowers" slightly amusing. :)

Wed Dec 28 00:14:49 2005 by 'An Immortal' at level 47 (159 hrs): An Immortal added 1000 exp for: For granting interaction.
Wed Dec 28 00:16:19 2005 by 'Amaranthe' at level 47 (159 hrs): Made Harbinger. Player seems solid. Had some reservations due to the character's nature, but he is willing. We'll see how he does!
Sun Jan 8 01:25:34 2006 by 'Amaranthe' at level 51 (213 hrs): Removed as Harbinger as Aeria replaces him. This character's not the leader type, but did the job for lack of more suitable leader, and he knows it. Given Elder status and a gift to honor his service.

RoleChapter 2 Experiences after the Jade Valley Added Mon Dec 5 23:37:03 2005 at level 40:At this point in life, Laenelis has experience a great deal.
Grurk. Since his rebirth as a child of the Angry Father he has grown and come to more understanding of vengeance, justice, and Grurk and sees him as less of a means to an end. His religious fervor has also grown. He sees other priests as false priests and those that do not fight alone enforce the ideal, showing their weakness and lack of conviction for their beliefs. He does not try to be a good priest of Grurk. He lives as his lust for vengeance and justice guides him and knows that he is a pure priest of the Angry Father.
Jor. He first met Jor in the weald, where he had arrived to offer prayers of healing for two outlanders while they assaulted the spire. Jor however verbally attacked Laenelis and his god, so they fought. In fact, when they saw each other, they would stop whatever else they were doing and focus on each other. They fought and fought, and fought. And fought some more. Killing each other and renewing their attacks with even more hatred. Laenelis however realized that Jor was ignorant and misguided. And made an offer to Jor one day, the offer was that Jor listen to why he was a priest of Grurk. If he didnt understand after that, their personal war could continue. If he understood, they would finally be able to focus on the real enemy. They sat, they talked, and finally Jor understood. Since that day, they have traveled often. Laenelis is for the most part, anti-social, and does not seek to make friends. However, he would consider Jor the closest thing to that, and feels he understands and knows more of Laenelis than most likely ever will, if only because Laenelis does not open up.
Outlander. He is still unsure of most of them and really knows little of them individually. They respect his own beliefs so that is enough for him at the moment. It is not much different than when he was on his own.

RoleChapter 3 Hard lessons learned Added Mon Nov 7 23:33:27 2005 at level 1:Laenelis grew up in the valleys of the Jade Mountains. His only memories of parents are hazy at best, his only recollection of them is the two figures who left him with a human druid that also called the valleys and of the Jade Mountains his home. He never learned this human's name, he spoke rarely and when he did he was not overly verbose. He taught Laenelis the ways of survival in the wilds, to both appreciate and respect them. These lessons were not taught mouth to ear, but rather by simply taking him into the wild and leaving him in one situation or another, while watching from afar. When he was still very young, and being taught to find their camp from a great distance through dense wilderness he got turned around, and was spotted and captured by a ranging patrol from Seantryn Modan, and consequently sold into slavery by the soldiers seeking to make some fast coin. A fair lithe young elf would serve the darker pleasures of some of the richer patrons of the whorehouses in the mood for something more "exotic". His stay there while short, was quite brutal. Beaten (never in the face) and raped many times over, the inherent child-like nature of his people was broken and torn from him. Long story short, a rescue of heroic proportions took place involving his teacher, a treant, and some fierce forest animals. How they were able to sneak into the city undetected he had no idea, but they left a wake of destruction in their path out, and one greasy merchant who drowned in his own blood.
After that, his training moved slowly at first. He was cold and distant and rarely ate. He seemed more animal than elf. Then one day he simply understood, the things he learned would serve him in delivering justice to all those who would reside in and help maintain a "city". Not only a festering wound on his beloved wilds, but also a cess-pit that catered and profited from the pain of the lesser to serve the darker desires of all races.
