Chapter 5

"Learn your craft."


Those were the words that were spoken to him last from the Chancellor of the
Scions, and that was what Tlorox had focused his attention on for the most
part since. It was not a clearly defined approach for him, to seek out the
Scions, but in seeing this once-saurian, now vampyre, he felt from then, and
then even moreso after specifically looking to learn more about them, that it
was a place for him to pursue.


The Scions, seemed to have much the same mindset as him. Break down
obstacles, learn of the forbidden, and seek out those that will be strong
enough to keep their feet when pure destruction has prevailed about them. He
took the directive of Iskrith to heart, and kept a strong intent in mind to
not just learn, but master his craft, and soon the time would come to break
through any new obstacles that might come up, and join the Scions of Eternal
Night.

Chapter 4

Amidst the fiery chaos of the Ashes of Nowhere, Tlorox ScarEye stumbled upon
an elven shapeshifter named Alarina. They looked haggard, scorched from the
flames, and face smudged with ash, looking as if they thought their situation
could not be any worse than it was at the moment. The flames danced to life
from the smoldering embers, as Tlorox helped them realize things can always
be worse, and he struck them, swift and lethal. The shapeshifter fell, a
casualty of the relentless destruction that enveloped the burning forest.


Yet, Tlorox was not one to revel in victory without purpose. As the
shapeshifter lay broken, he spoke words of wisdom amidst the crackling
flames. Destruction, he claimed, was the crucible through which true selves
emerged. It was a test, a reckoning that revealed the essence of one's
character in how they rose from the ashes.


In the aftermath, Tlorox surveyed the desolation and sensed an unfamiliar
energy in the air. A strange place, perhaps the rumored shrine of Ocaiye,
beckoned. Intrigued, he decided to venture there, drawn by the possibility of
encountering the force that relished destruction and renewal.


As he stepped through the smoldering remnants of the forest, he envisioned
reaching out to Ocaiye. He wondered if what he had heard thus far of Ocaiye
could guide him to thrive amidst the chaos, to rise anew from the ashes of
his own past, and what was yet to come.

Chapter 3

-Tlorox's sphere being destruction is related to his first primal instinct to
attack anything that could be a potential threat to him. He feels that if
someone, or something has potential use to him, it will reveal itself to him
in conflict instead of some sort of civilized parlay.
-He became a transmuter after meeting one near the swamp and seeing how the
magic could help him in is destructive nature. He learned a few things from
them and found that he took to it surprisingly well.
-He has no background or familiar with Ocaiye, but did stumble into their shrine
once. Eventually he will learn more about them and seek them out in a desire to
be pushed to his own extremes.
-Once he is exposed to the Scions of Eternal Night, he will feel they are a
like mind to his own in bringing forth destruction and breaking down barriers,
and seeing what of use rises from the ashes of the aftermath.
-Tlorox doesn't speak like a simpleton, and doesn't have parcel tongue hissing.
He is attentive and learned to speak well and read and write on his own, and
focused to speak like others outside the saurian village just to stand out
from others of his kind.
-His wicked nature stems from his instinctive survival of the fittest approach,
and his immediate removal of his nest mates to ensure they would not compete
with him to grow strong as a hatchling.
-Last name of EyeScar comes from a scar over his right eye that he got when
one of his brothers bit him while he was disposing of them all from the nest.

Chapter 2

Tlorox, born in the saurian village swamps, continued to feel the unyielding
drive within him as he matured that he first felt still in the egg. The
weight of his scar told a story of ruthless survival, a desire to overcome
anything before him, and while this suited the swamp life, eventually
curiosity pushed him beyond the familiar environment.


Near a faint path near the edges of the swamp, the mystical magic words of a
transmuter reached his keen ears, Tlorox's ambition ignited hearing words he
did not understand, and then seeing magical transformations of the body as
the words invoked magical changes. He sought them out to learn more, and with
a few hours of their being willing to show him more, he discovered an
unexpected aptitude for their craft. Transmutation, he quickly learned,
became a new path to him, a means to rise above primal struggles he'd known
so far.


Tlorox, ventured out of the Saurian Village, and became a student of
transmutation, yearning to learn about reshaping his form and capabilities.
He felt a relentless drive to break down any obstacle hindering his growth, a
belief that even in destruction, anything that had usefulness would rise anew
to show itself to him, and this new magic, was a new means to that end.

Chapter 1

On the fringes of the Saurian Village swamps, beneath a dense canopy of
tangled vines, a beginning was unfolding. Within the leathery confines of a
saurian egg, Tlorox EyeScar, a male saurian hatchling, was stirring within
the only world he had known to this point, and looming sense of great urgency
was blooming within him.


His struggle began as he sensed the stark need to break free from the
confines of his egg. With determined efforts, he pushed against the leathery
shell, a creature eager to embrace the challenges of the swamp and the world
outside it, an upcoming struggle of it's, destined for destruction of
obstacles that may appear before him to keep him from growing strong.


After escaping from his egg and taking a moment to recover, a heartless
instinct of survival guided Tlorox's actions. Perhaps it was the common
chaotic nature of his kind, or an innate survival drive, but he set his
sights on eliminating the potential competition around him. With a calculated
coldness, Tlorox turned to the remaining eggs in the nest, his siblings-to-be
where some of them were also starting to stir, and, one by one, he began to
push them out of the nest. His intent was clear - to be the sole survivor
and thrive without the encumbrance of competition.


Amidst this heartless process, there was a momentary pause. One of the eggs
showed even more signs of life than the others, and another saurian was on
the verge of hatching. Undeterred, Tlorox proceeded with his ruthless task,
saving this clutchmate for last. He wanted to ensure that all rivals were
eliminated before the newborn saurian could defend them.


As he moved to dispose of the partially hatched egg, where now the head fully
emerged, Tlorox, focused on his grim mission, and sought to discard this last
obstacle into the murky swamp waters. But the partially hatched saurian
lashed out, their head free enough to turn and snap at Tlorox with their own
young, yet already sharp teeth. The unexpected attack caught him off guard,
and a deep gash appeared over his right eye. This blood flowing, Tlorox
licked at it with a long serpentine tongue to taste the blood there, and
probing at the wound that would leave a permanent scar that would become his
namesake - EyeScar.
