Chapter 7

Since the poem format may not make it clear on some of the new items for the
role, here is a bulleted summary for clearer understanding.


-First adventurer killed in combat, a gnomish invoker in Azreth Forest
-A showdown with the snowbeast where they both killed each other. The snowbeast
was trying to assert domience and Chakos attacked it, leading to both of them
falling, but afterwards the snowbeast acquiesced and began to acknowledged
Chakos as the dominent party. (Was an afk mistake in truth where I had to
answer the door and mistakenly targeted the familiar as I ran to anwer it.)
-A task given by Iskrith as part of trying to join Scion. To get an apology
from a member of the Fortress, as well as get them to tell him a personal
secret.
-A name for the snowbeast - Ratzen (for John Ratzenberger - Yeti voice
from Monster's Inc.)

Chapter 6

In the realm of frost and moonlit haze,
Chakos embarked on Yuletide days.
From Teth Azleth's depths, a drow untamed,
In search of power, his destiny named.


Through the Azreth Forest, shadows thick,
He faced an invoker's elisive tricks.
With the snowbeast's fury and frosty might,
They conquered the foe in the pale moonlight.


Yet within this frosty, Yuletide scene,
A rift emerged, a challenge unseen.
The snowbeast, wrathful, dared defy,
A clash erupted beneath the sky.


A battle fierce, both tumbled low,
Yet Chakos proved the one to show,
Dominance claimed, the beast acknowledged,
Inner rage shared, a bond now unbridled.


Ratzen, the snowbeast, by name he knew,
A union formed, their spirits grew.
Conjuring powers, frost and snow,
Together, they faced the Yuletide's glow.


In the chill of winter's embrace,
A task presented, by necromancer's grace.
Iskrith, dark figure in shadows veiled,
Set Chakos forth, secrets unveiled.


A task to seek an apology's art,
From Fortress of Light, playing the part.
From enemy's tongue, a remorseful plea,
Then reveal a secret, the key to be free.


Through Yuletide nights, the tale unfolds,
Of Chakos, the drow, their frosty tale holds.
In shadows and snow, his destiny penned,
A Yuletide saga, as winter descends.


Hark, and loe, more power yet coming,
Demons and devils, fercious power and cunning.
Chakos is patient, while time marches on,
The prophecy's coming, bid farewell to the dawn.

Chapter 5

Days later, the as yet unnamed snowbeast clashed with Seilslemonte, an arial
invoker, the battle unfolding in a series of savage exchanges. The air
crackled with magic and echoed with the sounds of tearing claws and primal
roars. Back and forth they went, a symphony of rage echoing through the
frosty air.


After a relentless skirmish, both combatants took a momentary respite,
recovering their strength at a cautious distance. However, the encounter was
far from over. The abominable snowbeast, still seething with rage, returned
to Galadon, and its fury roiled in the Market Square. Sensing Seilslemonte's
presence in the nearby guild, the snowbeast tensed as, with an abrupt rush,
the invoker sprinted out and created a magical cyclone. The cyclones struck
the snowbeast repeatedly, while he himself relentlessly tore at the invoker
with his claws.


Unexpectedly, a nearby magistrate, alerted to the magical assault, swiftly
warranted the invoker for his actions. In the blink of an eye, the tables
turned. The strikes of special guards descended upon Seilslemonte, bringing
him down in an instant right there in the street. His lifeless corpse lay
there, as the snowbeast let out a howl of victory, and, currently far off
seeing to other tasks, Chakos called out praise to the Father, Morius, for
his bountiful blessings of rage that found purchase, and the magical encounter
that it proved to be.

Chapter 4

In the chill embrace of the Yultide season, Chakos Daevion'lyr felt a new
surge of magical potential within himself. Now able to seize the ability to
call a familiar, with a surge of primal instinct, he beat his chest and
howled, a call that echoed through the wintry landscape. In response, a
ferocious creature emerged from the ethereal realms, joining their cry with
his primal howl.


Loping along on its comically large feet, occasionally hunching forward with
weight on its knuckles, the abominable snowbeast appeared before him. Shaggy,
matted white hair covered its tiny ape-like form, and its surly red eyes
glared from beneath a heavy, perpetually-knit brow. It had a pair of
upward-jutting tusks, exposed even when its mouth was closed, and atop its
head grew nubby horns, rounded and barely-formed like those on a baby goat.


This magical encounter marked the arrival of his special Yultide familiara
creature as untamed and rage-filled as he himself. Together, they stood ready
to face the challenges of the surface, now armed with the ferocity and magic
of the Yultide season.

Chapter 3

In his wanderings on the surface, Chakos eventually stumbled upon the Inn of
the Eternal Star. There, he encountered Pititti, a supposed goblin princess
who held the "esteemed" position of primary decorator for the inn. In
conversation with Pititti, Chakos learned that the yuletide season's gifts
giving did really exist, though it was unclear if the mysterious figure
associated with their bestowal was factual.


Pititti, with a warm and inviting, smile, shared heartwarming tales of the
gifts that circulated during this festive season. She regaled Chakos with
stories of treasures exchanged among surface dwellers, gifts bestowed by one
friend to another, and wholesome Yuletide lore. It appeared as if Chakos
marveled at the generosity and joy of these exchanges, and an onlooker would
likely see that he began to see a magical encounter of the season unfold
before him.


For him though, this encounter never really felt like a heartwarming
revelation, with no glimpse at all into the wholesome spirit of the Yuletide
season. The stories of people willingly sharing their riches and spreading
joy, to Chakos, seemed nonsensical. Then, as he delved deeper into the
complexities of these surface-dweller customs and their traditions, a darker
realization dawned upon him.


Chakos saw all of this not as a wholesome magical manifestation of the
season's spirit. Instead, he perceived an opportunity for greed and
manipulation. The vulnerability of surface dwellers, too generous and
open-handed, seemed like a treasure trove waiting to be exploited. Seeing
this as a magical encounter of his own to embrace, Chakos began to view it
not as an sharing of generosity but as a sinister dance of taking advantage,
a dark twist to the seemingly innocent festivities of the Yuletide season.

Chapter 2

Amid the unfamiliar sights and sounds of the surface world, Chakos
Daevion'lyr found himself navigating a realm bathed in sunlight, a stark
contrast to the perpetual shadows of Teth Azleth. Undeterred by the hostile
sun, he began to learn the ways of the surface, aware that his mission held
challenges far beyond the complexities of the underdark.


In his explorations, Chakos encountered a dark elven invoker, a figure whose
mastery of magic intrigued him. The invoker, perhaps a potential ally, proved
to be less amenable to Chakos's overtures. When he brazenly inquired about
acquiring the invoker's barbed dagger to assail a pair of valley elves
nearby, the response was swift and brutal. The invoker, with a shout that
echoed through the Weald, unleashed the arcane forces at their command,
cutting Chakos down. In that fleeting moment, his thought this encounter
might be his first experience with a yuletide gift, a gift of in the form of
a weapon to strike at an enemy. Instead, he received something he did not
want - a lethal manifestation of the invoker's magical prowess. As he lay
on the forest floor, the sunlight filtering through the leaves above, Chakos
realized that the power he sought lay not only in the secrets of conjuration
but also in the arcane arts as yet unknown to him completely.

As the pain subsided and Chakos's senses returned, he marveled at the potency
of the invoker's magic. It was a stark reminder of the significance of
mastering the arcane arts on the surface. The encounter left an indelible
mark, imprinting upon him the realization that his dabbling in magic and,
particularly, conjuration could yield significant dividends in this sunlit
world.


Bruised and battered, Chakos rose from the forest floor, his determination
strengthened by the potential he saw in the arcane. The sunlight, once a
hindrance, now seemed a mere inconvenience compared to the vast reservoir of
power that magic held. As he ventured forth, he recalled whispers of an
enigmatic group known as the Scions, often mentioned in hushed tones in
relation to secret, so-called forbidden magic that could perhaps be of more
use than solely the mention of their efforts to bring eternal night. With a
newfound resolve, he continued his journey on the surface, driven by the
promise that his proficiency in conjuration, coupled with the allure of
forbidden arts, might prove to be the key to overcoming the challenges that
lay ahead.

Chapter 1

In the labyrinthine depths of Teth Azleth, Chakos Daevion'lyr, a drow whose
studies occasionally grazed the fringes of conjuration, found himself caught
in the elaborate webs of the Matriarchy. His exit from the shadowy city
wasn't entirely voluntary, the expected that the Matriarch had caught wind of
his ventures into the art of conjuration without permission, and he suspected
ulterior motives behind the orders to surface.


Guided by the Matriarch's decree, Chakos embarked on a peculiar mission: to
establish a drow foothold on the surface during the Yultide season. This
task, fraught with intrigue and peril, presented a chance to expand Teth
Azleth's influence beyond the confines of the underdark. The Matriarch's true
motivations, however, were also filled with some motivations of greed and
envy.


The timing of his departure wasn't arbitrary. Chakos's journey coincided with
the Yultide season, a time when sunlight hours dwindled. This peculiar
season, much like the surface's Christmas, was also marked by arrival gifts
from some mysterious figure. However, in a in spite of assassins and spies to
discover the reasons for it, the gifts never made their way back to the
underdark. The drow, eager to partake in this curious tradition, now sought
to establish their foothold during this festive period, hoping that their
efforts would garner their own presents this Yultide.


Navigating the unfamiliar surface terrain, Chakos's thoughts swirled with
suspicion and ambition. The chaotic nature beneath his composed exterior
unwittingly turned him into a pawn in a game that transcended the boundaries
of the underdark, and even delved into simplistic envy over not getting a
present from some unknown gift giver. Hidden beneath his stoic facade was a
simmering rage, fueled by the manipulations of the Matriarch. He knew that
unleashing his fury prematurely could lead to outright execution rather than
the intended journey to the surface.
