abandoned as an infant along the banks of the river, she was discovered by a
compassionate elven couple who, blessed with love but without children of their
own, readily took her under their care. Raised amidst the elegance and grace of
elven culture, Setsuhko's earliest memories were a kaleidoscope of enchanting
melodies, ethereal landscapes, and the ageless wisdom of her adoptive family.

Unlike the haughty city bound elves, these wilder elves were known for their
profound connection with the natural world, embraced Setsuhko as one of their
own. She grew up within the tranquil embrace of the plains, surrounded by ageless
trees and the soothing whispers of the wind. The elven couple bestowed upon her
not just their love but their cherished knowledge, teaching her the ancient elven

However, as the years flowed on, Setsuhko began to notice a disheartening and
undeniable truth. Unlike the elves, who seemed untouched by the passage of time,
she was growing older. Her once-youthful features slowly began to bear the weight
of age, and the vitality of her youth started to wane. The stark disparity between
her brief human existence and the enduring grace of her elven family filled her
heart with a profound, simmering jealousy.

In the gentle moonlight of the elven forests, Setsuhko would often sit alone at
the base of a treant, pondering at her family's ageless faces and feeling the
inexorable pull of time upon her own. This growing awareness of her mortality
did more than just evoke jealousy; it kindled a desperate yearning within her
to transcend the limitations of her humanity, to escape the inevitable fate that
awaited her.

Setsuhko's mounting fear of her own mortality soon transformed into a relentless,
almost feverish obsession. She devoted herself entirely to uncovering the arcane
secrets of extending her fleeting lifespan. She delved into the extensive
libraries of her elven family, pouring over ancient tomes, scrolls, and scriptures,
seeking the hidden knowledge that promised eternal life. But the elves, protectors
of this sacred knowledge, kept these coveted secrets locked away, their wisdom
reserved exclusively for their own kind.

The more Setsuhko's search proved fruitless, the more her frustration grew. She
began to resent not just her mortality but the elven culture that seemed to
flourish in the face of it. A decision had to be made. Fuelled by her growing
bitterness, Setsuhko chose to depart the elven plains in pursuit of the answers
she so desperately sought.

Her journey led her through dense, uncharted forests, across treacherous rivers,
and into the heart of an ancient and mysterious swamp. Here, amidst the eerie
murmurs of the marshland, she stumbled upon a secluded village inhabited by a
people calling themselves the Bonekin. These swamp-dwellers were reclusive and
shrouded in mystery, practitioners of an ancient and forbidden form of necromancy.
In their midst stood a haunting and awe-inspiring structure a cairn-like
monolith composed entirely of bones.

The Bonekin observed Setsuhko's arrival with a mix of curiosity and anticipation.
They recognized her burning desire for power and longevity, sensing that she
carried with her the potential to unlock their enigmatic secrets. The village's
ancient leader extended an offer she could learn the arcane arts of necromancy,
but there was a price. To become the guardian of the bone cairn and access the
elusive secrets of life and death, Setsuhko would need to perform a macabre duty.
She must feed the cairn with bones, human and otherwise, awakening its latent
power and infusing herself with its eerie, ungodly energies.

Reluctantly, Setsuhko agreed to the village's proposition, recognizing it as
her only chance to attain the knowledge she so desperately craved. She understood
that the ancient, forgotten arts of necromancy held the potential to grant her
the eternal life that had eluded her. As her training commenced, Setsuhko found
herself initiated into the dark and arcane arts of death magic, honing her skills
and learning to draw power from the very forces that lay at the heart of the swamp.

To unlock the true potential of the bone cairn, Setsuhko discovered that she had
to periodically feed it with bones not just any bones, but those of unique and
powerful creatures. This unsettling duty became a grim pact, binding her fate to
the bone cairn and sealing her destiny as a necromancer. Her journey into the
realms of life and death had begun in earnest, and she had embarked on a path
that would forever alter her perception of the world and herself.
