Dynnal the Legend of the Battlefield
DescriptionA tall figure stands here roughly about seven feet in height. His features betray his avian nature, although they are not prominent enough to be of the more pure-blooded noble lines of the arial race. Only a small protrusion of a beak is upon the elongated and somewhat oval-shaped head of the arial before you. The two eyes that look over the top of the small beak are a golden color that shine bright in the light. While some arials are covered with feathers across their entire body, this one has pale skin across his body except for the large feathers that protrude from his back. The skin of this arial covers a muscularly lithe body that shows the work they have put in to make sure they are fit and strong. At the bottom of his strong legs are taloned feet that seem sharp and deadly. As you look closer at him, you notice that he wears supple leather clothing under his various pieces of armor. The visible skin around his armor and clothing is scarred as if he has been a part of many battles.

RoleChapter 4 A Story of Horror: Death and Life - the Fool No More Added Mon Sep 25 18:28:02 2023 at level 36:When the healers came, they found Dynnal shying away from the corpse of his friend, rocking back and forth in the corner as if he was still trying to believe this had not happened. After healing from his rough physical wounds and the foul magic that had been brought upon him, the arial named Dynnal sent a letter to his parents saying he was not going to be returning home soon. He stated simply that he could no longer trust those that he had grown up with and that he would find himself out in the world. Making Voralian City his home, he determined that he now would dedicate himself to finding those who were untrustworthy and evil like his former friend and would destroy them, a personal War that would consume his entire life. The horrors that were wrought upon him would not be brought upon others.
After joining the guild of warriors to continue his training, he found himself bloodied after killing another magic chanting mage and pledged himself to Tahren to become one of the Village of Battleragers, a group who had the same War that he did. He abandoned the ideas of order that were instilled in him when speaking of trusting others, instead opting for the understanding of chaos and its freedom of self and the chance to do what he needed against magic. He was no longer alone and he would only show even the smallest trust to those within the Village as they were the only ones who truly understood him. Even his kin, other arial, were not safe from his wrath as they had harbored those who were like his fallen enemy, that horror which was once called his friend.
Trust, he said, has made me a fool. I will not be such again.

RoleChapter 3 A Story of Horror: Betrayl Added Mon Sep 25 18:27:30 2023 at level 36:After days of bed rest, the healers finally allowed Achale to come visit him. While they talked of old times and battles and journies to far off places, Dynnal became tired and began to fall asleep. At the back of his mind, though, something seemed to try to resist the beckoning of the need for such rest as if it was being forced upon him rather than something that naturally needed to happen. Tens of minutes passed by as something continued to prod at his conciousness to wake up when he heard the words again that had been in his dreams, but this time they were much louder and closer. His eyes flew open and his beak let out a silent scream as he saw his friend that he had trusted and fought next to for years perched on the end of his bed, eyes closed and muttering the words that had haunted his dreams while moving his hands. He swore he could even see a sickly green light passing between himself and his friend as if he was pulling the very life out of his body.
Weak as Dynnal was, once again feeling the sickness that had plagued him for so long, he struggled and forced himself to leap up into a rough tackle of his long time companion. Struggling to keep awake and up straight, he pleaded with Achale to explain why he would do this foul thing to a friend and ally, a brother in arms. Achale grinned, an evil hue to his face, and cackled manically. He spoke of how Dynnal had always been the strongest and the fastest and that for too long, he had to rely entirely upon him as his protection on their travels. He explained that he would have no more of this, that with his siphoning of the very life from his "friend", he would be strong enough to stand on his own without the need for a friend who was barely a noble anyway.
After his admission, Achale began his chant once more. Reacting with no thought beyond instinct, Dynnal reached over and smashed the water pitcher next to him, grabbing one of the shards even as it dug into his hand. Leaping quickly, proppelled fowward by the his exhausted wings, he shoved the broken glass blade deep into the throat of his former friend. Achale would have gasped, the look of horror on his face now, if he could have. Instead, only a gurgle escaped around the jagged makeshift weapon. Falling to the ground, Dynnal cried out in fear and loss knowing that even as he did what he must, he would feel the pain for the rest of his life.

RoleChapter 2 A Story of Horror: Illness Added Mon Sep 25 18:26:40 2023 at level 36:Upon returning to Ayr'Trinil after a trip to Udgaard to learn from a blademaster there, Dynnal fell ill. Achale, to his credit, never left the young warrior's side during his sickness, his face full of concern for his friend. While at times it would seem that Dynnal would recover some, he would always lapse back into the sickness after a few days. Not being able to find anything wrong with him, the healers of Ayr'Trinil suggested sending him to Voralian City to see the healers of the Light there to see if they could determine what ailed him. At the time, Dynnal's parents could not accompany him to Voralian City, but the faithful friend Achale was glad to go and promised to keep him safe and sound until they reached the city and met with the healers there.
The journey was arduous with the time of travel longer than normal for the pair because of Dynnal's unfortunate sickness. After weeks, the pair finally reached the city, all the while having fought off bandits and thieves who seemed to look at the young arials as easy prey. Even sickly, Dynnal fought like a true bladesman, fending off every attack. The pair went straight to the healers who determined the first and most important thing that Dynnal needed was rest with no distractions. After days of being watched resting, Dynnal began to improve as it had always been. Oddly, though, he had begun to hear chanting words in his sleep, words he did not recognize. He would soon find out what they meant, though.

RoleChapter 1 A Story of Horror: Trust Added Mon Sep 25 18:25:52 2023 at level 36:The greatest horrors in life are those that are the closest to us, unseen and unexpected until they strike. It takes us a long time to see them for what they are and when they do finally decide to reveal themselves, it is with the greatest pain and sorrow to their victims who were the people who loved, respected, and trusted them. The tale of the arial Dynnal was one such as this. Born to noble family that had worked hard to gain what they wanted, both his parents guardsman for the city of Ayr'Trinil, they rose to their heights because of the perseverance and loyalty they showed to those they guarded. This led their son to belive in the same concepts, believing it was important to trust those around him and show that he was as loyal to them as they seemed to be to him. Trusting, though, only makes you the fool later.
Dynnal's parents believed that all arial should know how to defend themselves, no matter how nobly born they were and because of this, Dynnal spent much time learning from the swordsmasters of the world. Along side Dynnal in his travels was the son of a friend of Dynnal's parents, an arial named Achale. While he was not the fighter that Dynnal was, he was able to hold his own at times enough to at least continue training alongside the other arial. Dynnal, in all his training, had found that he felt most comfortable with the bladed weapons, especially the sword and to a slightly lesser degree, the dagger. Coming from the family he had been born to, this was no surprise to those who watched him weave his blades in defense and swing them with quick and deft strokes on offense. His skill was obvious and his future was what was considered bright by his parents most of all.
