Ferzimaul the Communer of Decay

Chapter 3

Like most of the fire giants of Kiadana-Rah, Ferzimaul was pressed
into war at an early age. Unlike his peers, it was not his all-
consuming passion. His habit of creeping among the wise-ones'
tents in his youth resulted in his learning to read, and his
curiosity led him on many trips deep into the volcano - deeper
than most had ever been. He knew that secrets lay below, and he
was determined to find them and use them for his own power.

Sometimes, as he picked his way across rivers of flowing magma
deep beneath the surface, he would see shadows move and hear
whispers.. and he knew he was close.

But then the day came when he was betrayed by his peers. He was
posted as a sentry near an isolated shaft which entered into the
volcano. Soon after he arrived, four warriors from his camp
appeared along with an elder warrior.

The elder rumbled, "Ferzimaul weak fool. Serve enemy. Ferzimaul
now die." Unable to stand in combat having been taken by surprise,
Ferzimaul fled down the slops of the mountain. His pursuers gave
chase for a time, but eventually he lost them as their enthusiasm
waned. But Ferzimaul knew that his death had been ordered, and
that he could not return to the volcano unless he was prepared
to destroy all who opposed him.

He knew they drove him away to keep him from the secrets he sought
below. With anger boiling near the point of rage, Ferzemaul began
to plan his revenge from the nearby human city of Arkham. He would
unleash the powers that lurked in the depths of the mountain, and
ride atop the winged beasts of darkness as he brought his former
people to their knees.

Chapter 1

Determined, Ferzimaul roamed the lands, praying to all Gods who would listen to
grant him Vengeance against the Betrayer Grurk, and his beloved Empire. Ferzimaul
vowed to be a fist for any who could sate his thirst for revenge.

Chapter 2

Forsaken by his divine Father, Ferzimaul flew into a terrible rage.
He knew without the power of his Father, his vengeance would never be
complete. He also believed he knew why his Father had forsaken him.
Yagharek, the Emperor of Thera was surely Father's favored. Ferzimaul believed
his father had chosen the Empire over his truly reborn son.

His rage overflowing, Ferzimaul swore Vengeance against the Empire, those
who had turned his Father against him. Vengeance against his people would
wait, and come in due course. He would seek justice for this new betrayal,
and show his Father the meaning of true Anger.
