Chapter 1

Learia Eventide has grown up most of her life with highly unusual company:
Dwarves...and lots of dwarves.

Not much is known of her parents, though Learia Eventide has sought out all
she could. What she has discovered, had led to much sadness. It is this
combined with her delving into the histories of war and the treachery of
magic that brings her heart to the dark and tragic...yet in her view...very
realistic outlook on life. Those who do not know her well, might not see
this, as Learia Eventide struggles to sing ditties that are uplifting at
times and motivating, but inevitably, her true talents and indeed her heart
lay with songs of tragedy.

Her father was a necromancer. That much is known, what is worse, is that he
was wicked, vile, and commited acts many would consider beyond the pale.
Living in a human settlement basically on or near the dwarven lands, they
lived a life that is unknown to Learia Eventide as she was too young of a
girl. What is known, is that when her mother was in labor, her father used
her mother to perform some of his most horrid experiments and delve into
creating...or altering life.

For the crimes done to Learia Eventide's mother which left twisted unhuman
siblings of Learia, and for the crimes that eventually killed Learia
Eventide's mother in birth, her father was executed by the nearby Dwarves.
Little is known of what happed to Learia's siblings, though they are thought
to have either been taken in by other sinister powers, were hidden or away,
or died off as twisted and unnatural as they were.

Learia Eventide was taken in by the dwarven people and grew up with one of
the former innkeeps. She spent too much time in bars, at a time that was
much too early in her life. But for better or worse, its a huge part of who
she is now. She fought in a few dwarven skirmishes when she came of Arial
age, and acted as a scout for the dwarven nation....a position that always
seemed natural to one as fast and swift a flier as Learia Eventide. Dwarven
runners stamina can't be beat, but Learia definately brought advantages. Her
name Eventide is a name given to her by those of the dwarven army. Whether
it hints at the dark past she comes from, the mournful songs she'd sing over
the fallen at dusk, or her aptitude toward seeking the tragedy and offering
release with its confrontation....is a matter of perspective for all.
Nonetheless, it was a name that stuck.

Based on lore and study, the past she comes from, and whats in her heart...
Learia Eventide opposes magic in all things.
