Chapter 1

Darkness forms into the wrinkled face of an old storm giant,
with a pale green eyes shining with wisdom and goodness that
calms your fear and confusion. Kind voice comes a bit late
and brings relief to the pressing silence in your ears."..yes,
you should listen to the elders, young Caek. You was risen
knowing you shouldnt go to the center of the mountain chain."
Image of the face shakes slightly as the sage shakes his head
in dismay of your actions. It is a bad time for you to break
the rules. For generations our clan was locking that fiery
breed inside their pit and it was honour to belong to the
Stormguard clan. Now ", - here the face grimaces with a grief,
" Now dark forces arisen again and you can see them lurking
around the mountains. Remember Caek Stormguard, discipline,
temperance are nessecary for the victory in the War..." Lips
were moving and saying something else, but the darkness around
became more dense and face slowly faded and disappeared"

Chapter 2

Young storm giant stands on the peak of the mountain looking
to west at the darkness below, listening the sounds of the
borning battle, sounds of War he got used to from the birth.
He raises his hand from the tilt of the crude self-made
sword to the old rusty helmet to cover his eyes from the
rising sun as he turns to the east and looks down his native
village. He sees the people running along and his brothers
lining up into the rows wearing the shining armors of the
elite soldiers. He rans down the slope and takes the place
at the end of the line. He looks so young and awkward among
his brothers that leutenant just smiles griefly into his
maustache as he stops beside him.
- You are too young to join the strike, Caek - he says in a
deep giant bass.
His face blurrs suddenly and chorus of voices begin to swirl
around the young giant as his councious fades...
- Only true Maran can strike true - says a gentle elven voice
- Yah beh hearin de elders, squire - repeats the dwarven one
- You cannot go strike alone, Caek - human baritone agrees.
As the consciousness fades he hears the distant wise elven
voice deep in his mind: "Listen your heart, my child"..

Chapter 3

Blinding light of the rising sun covers the skin of a
young storm giant with a golden yellow. He rises his arm
to the forehead and tries to discern what is this dark
thread moving along the eastern peaks of Kiadana mountains
towards him, but the sun is too bright and all he see is
bright spot ahead of him. He turns back to the cliff he
stands at and looks down. Cloudy mists are concealing
the rocks down the rocky cliff. Always the mists, he
doesnt know what is there and too scared to check it.
He looks back to the east and see that dark tiny thread
approached and now discernable as the queue of a creatures
wandering forward slowly but unevitable. Step by step,
they close to him and the end of the queue is still behind
the horison, hidden by the rising sun.
First of the figures makes the next step and covers the
sun with it's back. Scream of anger and fear bursts from
the lips of a giant. Burned skeleton of a storm giant, worn
in remains of battle armor was walking to him, with it's
head risen proudly, his empty eyesockets looking in front
of him and remains of his hair waving on the wind. Giants
rush to move aside, but notice that queue is moving beside
him, just the step away and goes down the cliff to the
mist below. He watches the dead giants moving beside him,
burned, covered with a ice, with broken bones, but all
proud and magnificant in their march. Young giant runs
along the queue looking for something... Something he await
to find.. but never do. He understand that is the dream,
he sees it again and again, but never find something he
seeks.

Chapter 4

Sun was rising above the peaks of Kiadana mountains,
making the stains of volcano lava shine with bloody
red. Young storm giant is looking at his father grimly
wearing the battlearmor with the marks of the officer
of the elite department of the army. Father is hiding
his eyes though is trying to look cheerful and caring
as he always been. Father and son know each other well
as they have been living just together for many years
already and son sees that father is concealing something.
With his preparations ready, father turns to the son,
his glance full of pain. "I have to go, son. We all are
born to wage that war. And should stand upon our land
with might and caurage as our fathers did." He sighs
quitely as he turns away and walks away from the child.
Rising sun blinds the eyes and young giant do not see
dark figures climbing the northen edges of the mountain.
Eyes tear.. from the blinding light probably.
