Chapter 1

Artelin BrokenClaw was born to a traditional felar family. His father had
been trained from a young age as a warrior and joined the village in his
younger years. After many years of service he met a young fela who also
joined the Village and they fell in love. They formed a new family, and took
upon themselves a new name of BrokenClaw because they had broken the bonds of
their former families. Artelin was born to them years later and his father
taught him the history and tradition of the felar. His father taught him of
the felars oppression and of the magi who enslaved them. He helped Artelin
to grow and nurture a rage of his own and then after teaching him the ways of
the claw, sent him out into the world. He told him to grow to an age where
he could become a warrior of the village. He told him to never waiver from
his dedication to that cause, and to bring the full force of his rage against
those who would proliferate magic throughout the world.Artelin maintains a
special place in his heart to see the death of any of the felar race who have
embraced magic fully, and will go out of his way to destroy them, for they
have turned their backs to his people and their past.
