Chapter 2

After many years of travel on the road, Leqiel found himself eyeing the things that to him seemed..just not right.
Upon receiving word that the Fortress of the Light was taking applications for Marans, he thought long and hard and decided that he might be a great Maran.
He started speaking to different Maran and Acolytes as he saw them, and reflected long and hard on what he was told of their cause.
He saw the Fortress as a perfect fit for his past and future, and immediatly set out to join it's forces.
He still slightly fears the evil within himself, inherited from his family, though it by all means isn't even there.
Furthermore, upon receiving a shady fortune from a 2 bit fortune teller, he also fancies himself as become not only a powerful Maran, which is possible..
but also the world's greatest thief. Which, he will always strive for, but probably never attain.
He takes the Maran creed to heart, and while lighthearted and easily confused, he will always strive to be the best Maran he knows how.
He is enjoying his time as a Squire, and the fellowship therein.

Chapter 3

Role for now is short and sweet since I dont know exactly how you people
like it:

Leqiel was born into a wealthy, greedy family. But most importantly for the
purpose of this plot structure, he was born into an evil family. He learned
from a very early age what made a woman scream, or what the sound of a little
boys sobbing inspired in him. He learned many things about cruelty,
punishment, and deception. His father had a sick and twisted habit of
flaying servants with whips, crops, canes, or whatever else he had lying
around at the time. Leqiel himself was not in his fathers favor. He was
born with a defective right hand, and never actually had a pinky finger. His
father loved perfection and any signs of imperfection sent him into a beating
frenzy.Therefore, it was at a very early age Leqiel learned the art of
concealment, and learning to avoid potentially horrible situations.

Leqiels entire family seemed to be caught up in the trade of being well, not
nice people. They were all cruel, and they all thoroughly enjoyed making him
suffer.They knew he had a good heart, and they hated him for it.
Surprisingly, he had the frame of mind at a very early age to get out of his
home. He knew he would need resources first, so he took those that were
already immediately available. He would pilfer anything from around the
house that would go away without being noticed.He once listened as his
brothers accused a servant of stealing a silver bit off the nightstand.He
stepped into the room and laid claim to the deed, both he and the servant
were beat into unconsciousness, seething hatred was apparent from that day
forth in the household.

Being young, Leqiel fancied himself a warrior, and prayed for the strength to
save all the servants in the household and lead them into glory and freedom.
His prayers were *almost* answered. Leqiels father naturally had many
enemies. On a relatively bright night, Leqiel saw a band of merry thieves
skulking about outside the grounds. He grinned widely as he watched them
make their way into an adjoining window near his room. He lay in his bed
happily as he pictured his entire evil family falling under their knives. He
learned hatred for evil actions very early on. He saw the band of merry
thieves as saviors, and expected to head out the next day. When he woke up
the following morning however, he found his father alive, and very enraged.
The thieves managed to steal a magical artifact he had secreted away under
the floorboards under his bed, as well as kill all of the servants in the
adjoining room.Leqiel had never felt so horrible and guilty, enraged even
more then his father was, he grabbed a silver letter opener, stabbed his
father in the hamstring, twisted, and ran out of the house, never to return.


Leqiel learned at the tender age of 9 years old that if you wanted something
done right, you had to do it yourself. While he didnt have the strength to
actually kill his family, he was furious at the thieves for not doing such,
and horribly guilt ridden for not raising a call and saving the servants who
had become his only friends of the house.

He carries the traits of concealment and an eye for nice things that were
beaten into him at an early age. He carries courage, craftiness, and a

Chapter 1

After shaving his peach fuzz, and deciding that a beard wasn't the thing that would make him a Maran, he held steadfast in his faith and fought hard.
He continued to do so, and one day while he was running down an Orc, out of nowhere he became a Maran.
He's still got a few kinks to work out with the powers, but overall if they're not flying, they're dying.

He keeps an eye on the guild, and he's donated over a million copper to his Voralian City home away from home.
He seeks to become Godfather of the city, and hopes his contributions will be adaquate.
He hopes Duty and Business will flow well together, and that he may watch the guild grow and the darkness burn away.
