#618, "[TRIBUNAL] Lorhan the Bastion of Courage, Protector of the Scales"
|
Lorhan None, the Bastion of Courage, Protector of the Scales
DescriptionStanding near six and a half feet tall, the man in front of you has a presence larger than any human you have yet to glance upon. His crystalline blue eyes look casually around his immediate area, yet the harsh features of his face hint at a past where little is casual. His cheekbones are somewhat high in respect to most human faces, and might almost be considered attractive, were it not for the stoic and uncomforting aspect the rest of his face lends. Marring a very solid and strong jaw, a small scar curves downward and then under towards his chin. The rest of his body is well maintained, and his posture seems to lend strength to the very air around him. Curiously, you find yourself standing more boldy and with greater confidence within his presence. Looking at you for only a brief moment, his cold eyes seem to already have judged your worth.

RoleChapter 5 Previous role Added Tue Sep 24 23:33:21 2002 at level 51:After Uelveyye had been raised from Provincial Magistrate to Justiciar, hunting down all criminals that walk the realm, many within the Spire turned to Noldruk, constantly asking whether he would step up and take the position. Not exactly sure how to respond, Noldruk simply continued to do what he felt was his duty, constantly keeping a watchful eye on Galadon. It was sometime before Lady Bria called him before her. Explaining her feelings on the current state of the Spire, she set a quest before him. Choosing two to join him, Kaebe and Garhizrus, Noldruk embarked on a journey to the various cities, doing what he could to gain audience with the rulers of each city. It was his plan to increase the Spire's influence within the cities it protected. Doing what he could to fulfill the leaders of each city, Noldruk eventually had gained the blessings to have new Spires built. It was at this moment, that the Spire changed. No longer would a Provincial Magistrate leader over the other Magistrates. The two that joined him, Kaebe and Garhizrus were raised to Provincial Magistrates, the title of the Magistrates who would watch over the four cities they protected. Noldruk was given the title of Provost, leading and guiding all Magistrates in their upholding of the law.

RoleChapter 4 Previous role Added Sat Sep 28 20:18:25 2002 at level 51:While Noldruk stood watch over Galadon, an interesting thing took place. Coming up to him with great speed, one of the noble dwarven runners approaches him, requesting his presence in the Mountain of Mortorn. Heading there, he was a bit surprised to notice many other warriors. Specifically, there was one from each of the realm's powers. A Maran named Tynnyn, a villager named Valarath, a Warder named Arehanah, a Seeker named Valkore, and a Servant of the Dawn named Lysriael. All approaching the mountain, Noldruk was even more surprised to stand before the dwarven god, Thror HammerSong. Teaching the small group of warriors of the dwarven engineers known as the Sappers, Thror explained that these dwarvesn were cunning, clever and ridiculously stout, controlling great Rock-worms to burrow through the mountains and were creators of vast and glorious caverns. The group would battle for the honor of the dwarves. These warriors were to reach Lord Thror, fighting through the dwarves of Mortorn, the duergar in it's depths, as well as eachother, the first two of which would be do battle to the death. Confident in his knowledge of the mountain fortress, Noldruk sped through the halls quicker than any of the other warriors, preparing himself for the first few who would make it through. Eventually, the Servant and Seeker braved the depths, and Noldruk quickly did away with both, the Seeker falling and the Servant fleeing into the Underdark. The villager, before even starting, had rambled on about giving his spot to the duergar villager known as Gruktik, proving a lack of confidence and disgusting Lord Thror, who was removing him from the battles to come. Again, lacking the will to fight, Tynnyn the Maran withdrew himself from the competition. Leaving only Noldruk and the Warder to do battle. It was with this, that Noldruk's knowledge of the mountain helped him, as Arehanah stumbled into the great demon of it's lower halls, and eventually fleeing into a well-laid trap by a demon-spider. With this, Noldruk was victorious. He had earned his place as a hero amongst the Sappers, as well as all dwarves, being known far and wide as the Soul of the Seven Caverns. Pulling Noldruk aside, Lord Thror granted him a boon. Having created a legacy for himself within the mountain fortress, Lord Thror forged his hands and arms to know the meditations of the Fist of the Titan, forever a reminder of the battles he had fought, and the battles he would face.

RoleChapter 2 Previous role Added Wed Oct 16 23:46:50 2002 at level 51:Long before Noldruk joined the Blood Tribunal in it's protection of the cities, he had met a slender drow woman known as Nazira. In his youth, he asked a simple favor of her, which lead to their discussing various things. She instantly had assume that Noldruk, being a dwarf, followed Lord Thror and his teachings. Knowing very little of religion in general, Noldruk listened to her words and was fairly interested in this woman who seemed to weigh people as if slaves to sell on a market, having quite the eye for physical and spiritual prowess. That began a very odd friendship that has lasted to this day, though in his recent travels, she preached more and more of the HammerSong, informing Noldruk of her views. She explained that she was constantly being pleased by Noldruk's advancements, in both his inner strength, as well as growth within the Spire itself, and thought that he would make a good Smith. Later, she explained quite frankly that Noldruk was most suited to join the ranks of the Noldars. Contacting Lord Thror on her opinion, Noldruk was surprised that when approaching the HammerSong, he had been been expecting him. An honor few ever recieve, Noldruk was placed upon various tasks by the HammerSong. Doing what he could, acting as he always had, he had finally recieved the mark of Lord Thror, bearing the hammer and anvil as a testament to the trials he would face. An Apprentice of the Hammer, Noldruk looks forward to the enlightenment that comes with the future, the forge, and life he continues to create.

RoleChapter 1 Previous role Added Sat Nov 2 21:46:06 2002 at level 51:Not long after gaining Lord Thror's mark, Noldruk was then approached by Lady Bria, seeking audience with him in reference to his duty thus far within the Spire. Speaking at length, Noldruk was giving a vow to do as he always had, and was granted the position of Justiciar. The Justiciars of Thera, feared and sometimes respected, are the hammers of the Spire, doing whatever possible to bring those who dare break the law to Justice. Noldruk is now three-hundred years old, living as an elder within the Spire, using the knowledge of the lands he has gained throughout his life to hunt down those who would dare commit a crime and looks forward to whatever the rest of his life has to offer.

RoleChapter 7 Previous role Added Thu Sep 12 16:14:00 2002 at level 44:Advancing much, as both a Magistrate and a warrior, Noldruk has done what he could to earn both the trust of the citizens of Galadon, as well as the confidence of his fellow Tribunals. Troubled by constant attacks from the Sylvan Warders, be it their striking the Spire or causing blazing fires to torment Galadon, Noldruk has been busy making small alliances, minor pacts of trust with Scions, Warlocks, and Heralds alike, hoping for the aid in restoring and keeping the realm an ordered place. Understanding the troubled times to come, Noldruk learned not to fear lean times, having his guildmaster teach him the secrets of the Whispers of the Great Seige, an ancient warrior-monk's teaching to strengthen the will and body of those who learned it. Having spoken with Kaebe on numerous occassions about his faith, Noldruk has grown increasingly curious as to the Perpetuim, an order who houses themselves in the desert south of Hamsah Mu'tazz. Are these the creatures who brought him out of the mountain? Noldruk wishes to one day find out.

RoleChapter 8 Previous role Added Fri Sep 6 22:57:07 2002 at level 28:After reaching Galadon, Noldruk was shocked at the apparent disregard for the laws that were set. Knowing that the laws themselves were the backbone and pillars that held the economy of a city strong, he didn't understand why anyone would seek to disrupt such. Training in the arts of war, he eventually heard word of a small group of people that sought to protect these cities, the Blood Tribunal. Seeking out the Provincial Magistrate, Uelveyye, he explained his past and desire to help the Tribunal. Gaining more as a warrior, he was finally approached by the elven sorceress and gained entrance into the Spire. He now does what he can while on duty within Galadon, seeking the either prevent a crime, or destroy any fool who would seek to disrupt his fine city.

|
RoleChapter 9 Previous role Added Tue Sep 3 21:16:52 2002 at level 11:Noldruk Flentspike was born to a small village inside the mountains of the city of Udgaard. This village was a rather old attempt to patch the differences of dwarves and duergar, the two races living as one together within it's walls. Eldest son of five, his father had hoped he would take up the forge, joining the family's trade and hammering his life away. It may have happened that way, though like often happens when the two races are around eachother, there were repeated disruptions. The constant drunken banter, fights, and sometimes stealing that took place in his village struck a nerve with Noldruk. Oddly unhappy with the way things were, as well as angry at his brothers and cousins, he often would get into fights with them, disputing the reasoning behind their disruptions to the village as a whole. A mean fighter, indeed, Noldruk is by no means unfamiliar with combat, though he did not see the point in doing such that is counter-productive, stealing from a baker or otherwise hurting the economy of his small village. He would often think to himself as to how he might fix the troubles of his village, and eventually set up a militia, a small group of dwarves and duergar whom he entrusted to keep peace within the village. Leading them for nearly four years, he went to sleep one night and was struck by strange and disturbing dreams. He wandered, silently though a vast desert, unable to find shelter, unable to find water, dodging the attacks of scorpions and lizards alike. Desperate, he stumbled into a Temple and crawled around it's empty halls, searching. Collapsing, he was near mad from the thirst and desert sun and lifted his head to see a robed creature.
"Leave the mountains."
"..eh..whhaa..?"
"Order calls."
Waking with a start, Noldruk was unsure of what this meant, or why he had such a dream, but it repeated, the exact same way, for an entire week. Finally, disturbed, uncertain, yet still somehow ready to face it, he left his village in search for something he knew he must find.. he would start looking in the city of Galadon...
