a heavily marked page, scrawls surround the center
piece which is clearly some form of puzzle. Several
squares have been highlighted in a manner indicating
great importance.*

Chapter 2

An old woman leans on her cassually on her staff ...

"You must let go child, share your pain, become what you are destined
to be."

The thin figure before the old woman, screams as she leaps madly to her
feet, the old woman casually twirls her staff as she spins past using
the momentum to strike a savage blow to the thin figures back.

"You attempt to press before regaining balance, your attack must be
grounded from proper footing."

The thin figure stands to her feet more cautiously, attacking suddenly
with several lunging blows, swinging effortlessly to one side the old
woman delivers a solid blow with one end of the staff, following it
up with a vicious strike from the other.

"Allow advantage to your back and you are dead."

The thin figure rises again, her mouth held closed, in a relxed manner
completely betrayed by the mixed emotion which floods from her stance.
As she grips her weapon firmly the old weapon lunges forward in a rapid
series of strokes the weapon is knocked across the room from the young
womans hands.

"Lose your weapon and you are dead."

The thin figures hands ball in a tight fist, the old woman steps back
as she throws a leather bound book at her feet.

"You must share your pain, share it here, I assume you know how to write?"

Chapter 3

Men can be so cruel they assume they can just take what they wish, however
they wish for whatever they wish. I can still feel there hands pawing at me
I felt so helpless, and then only to be mocked with half breed child. A
lasting memory that once known I soon saw an end to ...

The thin figure doubles over the writing desk as she subconciously paws at
the scar on her stomach, writing ever faster.

Chapter 4

So it has begun, something changed last night, the letting go of loss, so that
I can focus on greater things. In the old woman has stopped calling me child
they now refer to me as Prasidia, which they say in langauage lost long ago
means "Guard".

Chapter 5

An old woman leans casually on her staff, before her stands a figure, tall
an lithe, musculature system stretching the very skin which is trying to
contain it.

"You must look for the order in all your fights. Once you find the order
the pattern in what is happening. Then you can form plan to combat it.
Take my spinning staff for instance, you will be surprised how many strike
the leading edge in combat. But with each leading edge there must be
a trailing edge. Step inside that and attack and you strike at a defnese
that is receeding.

Those that flail like a mad man in combat this same pattern this same
order exists, step in side the receeding blow, and step out before the
next. Study the pattern time it and constantly adjust to the clues that
betray the next strike. Often smaller weapons are better suited for
such attacks, but dont discount the advanatge more brutish impiments can
provide in certain situations."

Chapter 6

An old woman rests on one knee, panting heavily her wooden staff smashed
in two. A figure stands above her wooden practice weapons in hand a smile
ever so slightly creasing her face. Dropping them to the ground she bends
and helps the older woman to her feet.

"You have gone beyond what I can teach you child. You will know enough
to defend youself, but I feel there are greater things destined for you.
You need to seek out one named Urdo, you can trust her. She will continue
your training."

The old woman presses a piece of folded paper, sealed with wax bearing the
mark of a musical symbol into the other Prasidia's left hand.

"Hand her this, it will aid you futher."

Prasidia nods in acknowledgement, and as she places the piece of paper into
the fold of her robes, she extracts her diary with her right. Opening it to
the first page she offers it to the older woman.

"I don't know how to thank you, this seems to be the only thing fitting."

Chapter 7

There are a few things that the years hold true:
1. She has forged herself as a weapon, under the tutaliage of Urdo, she
. has seen warriors come and go, striving always to be the better. If
. there was one who could do 100 push ups she would endevour to do 101,
. there is much to still learn much war yet to be fought. But she strives
. to stand above a pile of bones from those who oppose her.
2. There is a pecking order to the ways of the world. It is seen to be
. the Gods, men, then Women I will endevour to change this. Females will
. be elevated above males.
3. As such men are not to be trusted. Used to a purpose but with ever a
. watchful eye.
4. What happened to her when she was young shall never be forgotten, as such
. she is driven to ensure such things are crushed from the lands. She truely
. believe that civilization is the best pathway to achieve such. It is on this
. day that such begins.
5. Just as that first day with Urdo. Those she respects will not be spoken
. with until permission is granted.

Chapter 8

The Design

I have walked the halls of Lord Destuvius for some time now, and I find
it interesting that the followers seem to be ignoring me. I guess if I
am ignored long enough the hope will be that I perhaps ... Just give up?
Whatever the reason, I have pen and paper to last a lifetime, and a life
span that will long surpass this many within the halls. Given time I believe
amongst the angusihed prayers for all manner of things that the moment
of silence will rise above it all. Soon enough I shall find voice within
Altar Room.

Chapter 9

I am convinced now that Cardinal Aluhben is ruining my attempts to speak
with Lord Destuvius. Time and time again I have approached seeking to
with them not daring to wish to litter the immaculate design with out
of place voice, nor piece of paper. I will need to be subtle in what I
do now, and will make offerings from cities ... if you can call them that
of those that should be sent back where they came from. I will start
with the ring "the essence of dawn" the first sign that the spread of
those that would defile the peace and protection that civilization can
bring have spread far and wide well beyong Udgaard. I feel this is just
but the start and my training in the guild of warriors is going to be
stretched to its very limits.

I will leave these at the altar with scrolls containing only my finest
penwork. Soon I hope to be in the halls of the palace, there finally I
will be able to study some of the finer points of weapon attacks from
the Blademaster themselves.

Chapter 1

Prasidia drops to one knee, raising her head towards the sky
as her left hand falls effortlessly to a book by her side.
Thumbing the pages, her finger stops momentarily on an entry
shaking her head she flicks to the front page and lingers there
a moment.

Day of Thunder, 17th of the Month of the Long Shadows in the year 1985

An old woman leans delicately over her staff above the thin figure
on the ground before her, lifting her staff she delivers a swift
strike to fore head "Lass, can you hear me?" The figures eyes flutter
for a moment between the opening and closing of eyelids many emotions
flood through the slits telling a story that dare not be spoken.
Rage, Pain, Betrayal one of great loss ...

The old woman moves with a grace and speed betraying the years that
have ravished her skin. She quickly studies the surrounds and moves
closer, "Come child lets tend that wound."

*Mulls over a page in her diary carefully tapping her
pencil along the various boxes contained within. Pausing
slightly she pencils the word Arials against the number 11*

Chapter 13

So the Horn has been blown, and despite the effort I could it was not
in my hands at the time. I guess atleast small comfort it was blown
by a SCarab woman. Fool as she may be it was the lesser of two evils
to it residing in the hands of a man. Who knows what may have happened
then.

While this offered some distraction. It has yet been a struggle having
to deal with some in the Empire. Plain and simple I just do not trust the
men while things, I have had to put a few of the males in the Blade Sect
back in their place. But it will just be a matter of time before some
become to big for the very boots they stand in.

The Emperor also has me concerned one day wanting a treaty with the orcs
and the next wanting them all dead. No good will ever come of siding with
the Orcs so I must carefully consider my next move given some of obstacles
I have faced thus far.

Chapter 14

As I flick through the pages of my memories it becomes apparent
just how long I have neglected thought to what sits in my past.
perhaps this is what brings me to where I am now. In many ways
much started to go right and I had much within grasp but like
the sands it all slowly fell between the gaps of fingers.

1. Finally my efforts were recognized only to have them stripped
with the loss of War Master and the state of Anathema.
2. Prior to this we had conquoered the Nine circles and I bartered
with the devil. So arrogant I was thinking I would be able to
stay one step ahead. The second time he called my bluff and mark
was seared on flesh.

So this is where I will start from where things started to fall apart
I must find a way to remove mark, so that I may one day wear the mark
I truely wish. WHile doing this I shall also find way back into Empire.
If this means overthrowing the Emperor then so be it. They may find
purpose serving the Empire as a blood oath for eternity.

Chapter 15

It has been some time now. And I have fought some in
the Empire a number of times. It quite comical really
most choose to completely ignore Imperial Law Three. But
I can feel the frustration growing within them. I trapped
the War Master in such today, this brought a degree of
satisfaction, Kromps was a side effect of this, I didnt
particularly want them to share the same fate but it is
what it is.

Many have offered aid against the Empire but I must remain
strong. Orcs have been amongst these numbers and I made it
clear to the Chieftain that I would not join forces with
them.

Now for the Emperor, the fights we have had it is obvious
they are prepared to a far greater degree than I. This
is further complicated with the Sigil they burn onto my
flesh. Beyond this some of the armors worn are particularly
challenging. Then there are also the sheer numbers.

I believe I have found a small window of chance and might be
able to exploit favoured weapons. But I am going to have to
search far and wide to find various potions and pills. It
is going to take time, I believe I can now survive roadblocks
but I desperately need to try it for chance.

The only other piece of the puzzle is managing with the sheer
numbers but Urdo should be able to help with some of this.

Chapter 16

And just like that everything changes, I knew was outmatched
that day the fights before the last told it so. But as I tried
to regather gold for my future donations when I am back in the
Empire. The Emperor found me near Arkham, several fights occured
much with the same result. But the last as I moved north towards
the Outlander cabal. There was Kanlax and the assasin Ruqyrym I
was sure they saw me. So ducked to the east noting the assasin
had taken to shadow, so I waited and waited, in the hope I was being
stalked. With just enough time but not to much, I made move back
towards Arkham, there the Emperor was found, and there I made my
stand hoping to last just long enough for the others to find us.

I was not disapointed, while I suffered for the trap laid, the
Emperor suffered far worse. His gold will come in most handy later
on. But more importantly the very things I have been looking to use
against him, well he had quite the stock. Potions and pills shall
remain in my hands now, crippling them for further endevours.

It is time I push forward with more concrete plans. I now have over
1000 gold to my name. A sum I believe will exceed any other donations
within the Empire bar perhaps one or two, but given I left well over
3000 behind, this shows just how badly things fall under the ...
"leadership?" of this Emperor.

Chapter 17

To many I suppose the thoughts are that things are not going well
this is to be understood. My last two engagements with the Empire
have left me with little to my name. But one must always be able
to look past these issues and find the advantage that lies within
them. The Empror rarely fights me protected now, a double edged sword
as I gave up all the protections to achieve this. Likely I will have
to fall a few more times, dressed plainly there will reach a point
where the Emperor will get lazy. It is at this point I will throw
in everything I have, it is important I survive long enough to
not have my guts spilled out everywhere, if I can do this I should
win. It is a risky ploy and it leave me heavily exposed elsewhere
an issue that I will just have to deal with as it happens.
