Chapter 1

In a small quiet village just off the trail of the prosmey there was a
married, farming couple. The wife (an elf by the name of Dariela Silentall)
was expecting and both were quite happy with their lives. The husband (Torad
Silentall) was a healer and a seasoned farmer. They were generous, kind, and
always seeking ways to help out others. Unfortunately for them a stranger
had made his way to town.

His mission was simple. He was to bring pain and sorrow to the happiest and
kindest of the village. For what reason could he want this? Simply for his
own amusement. He studied the town over the course of a few weeks and finally
decided that the Silentalls were the most suitable targets for his devious
plan.

Within the night he crept into their house and sent them both into a
magical slumber. Painstakingly and deliberately he wrote the appropriate
runes on the wife and on the ground around her. Then he chanted in a low and
ominous tone an ancient spell. Upon its completion the wife seemed to try to
let out a scream but only silence came out before she fell back to her
magical sleep. The stranger laughed to himself as he left never to return.

a week Deriela would go into labor and have her child. They would
name her Janstina but not all was well. A few weeks after her birth the
mother saw a strange mark on the child's forehead. It was the symbol of a
skull with bleeding eyes. She was horrified and told the husband but he could
not see it. He believed her though and used his healing abilities to reveal
the mark to him.

His eyes widened with fear as he tried to remove this dark omen from his
child. He soon found there was no way he would be able to and simply used a
prayer to seal it. He didn't know what that mark would do to his child but he
knew it wasn't good. He just prayed that he would never find out...

Many years later....

Janstina has reached the age of 9 and has shown an unnatural skill with
basic magic. Slowly she started to concern the other villagers but her
parents assured them that she was being given proper education as an invoker.
Though she only seemed skilled in cold magic. Soon she started animating
little things like dead butterflies and birds she found. Her heart always
seemed to break when she found something dead. She saw what she was doing as
bringing things back to life.

Eventually her parents caught her and scolded her for it telling her it was
bad. She was upset and tried to explain but her parents wouldn't have it. She
was told to never use those powers ever again. Things were going well and no
one seemed to be suspicious anymore.

One day a group of bandits raided and during the raids both her parents
were killed. When she found them the pain inside her causes the seal to break
and negative energy exploded out of her. Killing the bandits and reanimating

her parents within the process. When the villagers found them instead of
being grateful for her saving the village. They were disgusted at the sight
of the zombies.

Seconds before the villagers could kill the child. Her zombified parents
grabbed her and dashed toward the looming forest. They kept running and
eventually out ran the villagers due to their inhuman stamina. Once they
could rest they held their daughter close to them as they tried to console
the crying child....

Both parents spirits were kept within the zombies due to them not wanting to
leave their child unattended. The zombies of her parents took care of her for
another six years until she could survive on her own. Once she was able the
spirits left the bodies and fell back to the ground lifelessly.

Janstina saw the spirits leave the bodies and cried knowing that she no
longer had contact with her parents. She decided she would find a way to trap
a bit of the soul of a person in the undead vessel so that maybe one day
should could bring her parents back. She eventually joined the necromancer's
guild so that she could better learn of her abilities.

After years of study and training she was finally able to trap parts of
souls within corpses but without the emotional duress and willingness of the
spirit she couldn't raise them yet. Soon after she learned to speak with
spirits that passed on and finally contacted her parents. She was devastated
to hear that they didn't want to come back and explained to her that they
were happy.

She felt empty and as if she had no aim in life. Eventually she realized
that she couldn't waste her time feeling sad. She would have to find a way to
enjoy life even without those she loved. She decided she would join the
Heralds and spend time enjoying life. She figures it would allow her to at
least live a somewhat peaceful life. Since she knew she would always be
hunted.

Chapter 3

Faenral's nagging is sort of getting to her. She is starting to see what
she is doing is wrong but she is still angry at Thera for how they have
treated her. She doesn't feel justice has been served and that they need to
suffer more. Now feeling weak and full of guilt she is trying to cover her
tracks with the less than light hearted crowd by lying. Saying she is just
using Faenral.

She is attracted to the wood elven warrior bartender (Can't remember her
name) but she is with Faenral. She is REALLY jealous but since she is friends
with both she isn't going to do anything evil to them. She just plans to
tease them about it and keep it a secret.

is excited and happy about the time she is spending at the inn. She
enjoys spending time with all the people and them not trying to kill her. She
really hates Corlx pet rat and wants to kill it extremely badly. She isn't
joking but she passes it off as she is. She doesn't want to make him mad as
it would hurt her chances at the bar.

She hates elves and Fortress members but she tries to be nice to them even
if it is an act. After being nice to them she feels she has to act more evil
and keep a certain fearful reputation and kill someone. She doesn't plan to
stop unless asked by the Herald gods or the High Herald. She refuses to kill
someone who has spent time at the inn for a good amount of time. (not just
passing through). She doesn't kill friends.

She spends a good amount of time praying to the Herald lords and
understands she hasn't been around long enough for them to acknowledge her.
She wants to be a bartender and make drinks that are good tasting but have a
bad name to them. Making them seem bad but good at heart. Sort of how she
sees herself.
