Chapter 2

Many years, yet only a small relative portion of Silasalan's life have passed
since his decision to further study the elemental magics of the invocation guild.

So many decisions have been made that have set out the course that he would follow.
He has traveled from mountaintop to ocean depths, sandy beach to enchanted game-board.
All the while, knowing that his course was true. He had chosen to join the ranks
of the Fortress of the Light, dedicated his life to the cause of the eradication of
the evil that is so prevalent in the land, and to uphold the light in the face of
adversity. He has reached the pinnacle of his guild and fought several battles that
have often ended in outright war. And, the falling and consequent teachings that come
with the reflection and resurrection of his physical form.

Something, however, seems to still be missing. His experiences seem vast relative to
his own research but something is still not right. He knows that his courage and sense
of duty is only paralleled but those that truly dedicate themselves to their cause.
However the quest that he has embarked on, to eradicate the evil of this land, seems
to elude him.

In his earlier years, he had spoken with Baerinika, the spearmaiden, guiding hand of
of the Fortress. He had sought her council once again. But this time, in admittance
of falling short of his own objectives. After some time speaking with the Spearmaiden
on tactics and receiving reassuring words, a realization was made.

Silasalan's father, Salan, was an accomplished bladesman, he knew of war and had fought
alongside ranks of skilled mages. Upon returning home to Darsylon, Silasalan was met with
gut-wrenching news. His father had been mortally wounded on what would have been his final
expedition. Now, with only the Fortress of the Light as his cause, and the Spearmaiden as
his guide, he knew that re-dedication was not only necessary, but his new course in life.

Chapter 1

In Silasalan's youngest years, he was raised in Darsylon by his mother, father
and the family caretakers. He was brought up to understand the difference
between the goodness that he felt in his heart from the actions that he had
witnessed. He was taught many lessons of purity that his father had
passed to him, like his father before him.

He seemed to always have a natural affinity for the natural, instinctual beauty
around him. Even in his youth, he was known to have understood lessons in
lifes concerns that were well beyond his years. He did not, however, have a
distinct affinity for the magics that his father insisted that he study. Salan,
his father, was a bladesman by profession, lending no help to Silasalan's study
save that which came from heritage and a constant reassuring attitude.
