Chapter 3

It's been an interesting journey thus far. My blade
strikes true, the Lady has seen fit to grant me the
greater Mantle. I hope that her faith in me is not
misplaced.

I look down at my hands, I've washed them many times,
but I still see the blood there sometimes. I wonder
if it's worth it, all this violence that I do. Does
it make a difference. Then I look to the young urchin
in the streets. That poor soul, and I know that if
I don't do it, he may not see that next day. I've
put in place for some time an edict purifying the
guild in Voralia. Twice I've had to enforce it now.
I think its almost time to take the next step. Soon
I will announce the Edict that the Imperials are no
longer welcome in our great city, and will forfeit
their lives should they be caught here. I will make
this city a beacon of Light, Truth, and Purity.

Chapter 2

I've found my home.

I know it sounds cliche, I know it seems like everyone has
said this about these halls at one point or another, and
I always thought them daft. But I have found it.

Brothers and Sisters all, with one purpose. The Captain,
I like him. Exactly what I'd expect, strong, perservering,
full of faith. The Marshall, strange, mysterious... one
minute a friend you've known all your life, the next a driving
task master with little emotion beyond the war we fight.

The Prophet, a, the Prophet. Beauty beyond compare. A stalwart
bastion of truth an light in an ever darkening world. It was
she I think that truly inspired me to become the Squire that
I am today.

All this, and a myriad of brothers and sisters with whom to
share the burdens of our fight. What more could one ask for?

I only hope that I can be what they need. Their eyes in the
shadow, their brother in time of need. That one day, this world
that we all love so dearly, may come out of the Dark, and
that I will no longer be needed.

Chapter 1

Early Life:
Irineth's parents are a story in opposites. His father, a human slave
taken in a raid into the mountains near the Fortress. Former Squire,
he was the one most responsible for raising Irineth. His mother,
a priestess in Teth Azeleth and owner of his father. Years were not
kind to Irineths Father. Used for pleasuring his owner, known as one
of the most sadistic of Priestesses. She hid her pregnancy, delivering
Irineth in secret. Raised in the slave pens all Irineth knew early
in life was pain. But it made him stronger.

The Escape:
The slaves banded together, plotting the day that they would make for
the dark tunnels and their escape. Irineth was a young man at the time,
quickly growing into his body. As the slaves made their escape, the guards
were alerted. Irineth's mother heard the commotion and ran to find out
what was going on. Coming upon the slaughter of the slaves, she saw
Irineth and his father, desperately trying to make out into the tunnels.
Something broke in her that moment, as a warrior moved to take them from
behind. Calling her living whip to her hand, she lashed out viscously
at the warrior. Fell in a heap. Her husband sorely wounded looked back
at her with disbelief. As she started to step forward a sword burst from
between her breasts. Her last look was one that Irineth will never forget.

The Surface:
Leading his father through the utter darkness of the Underdark, Irineth
sought to find a way out before their pursuers could catch up with them.
Eventually, sneaking past the patrols, they found their way to the surface.
Irineth cried out as the light assaulted his eyes. His father comforted him,
now guiding Irineth down the river to Voralia. They found their way to the
Plow Share, and Esme gasped as they walked through the doors. Irineths
father collapsed then, giving up the last of his strength.

His training:
Jirash happened to be out of the cellar at that moment, looking upon the
boy, he took his hand, forever changing the youth's path. Training him in
the ways of thievery, they quickly found out that his skills lay more in
the Physical, than in Jirash's world. Using his contacts, Jirash secured
training in various skills that would support Irineth in his future. But
his training was more than that. Sent to work with the Monks of the cathedral
Irineth was taught basic tenets of several faiths. Once he had become
accomplished enough, he was introduced to several of his fathers old friends
retired Squires and the like, and his training began anew.

Purity:
Irineth finds his life experiences leading him towards the path of the Lady
Baerinika. He struggles a bit, with the understandings of Redemption, and
his role in her faith, but after speaking with her, will seek those he considers
wise and true. Hoping to find that understanding
