|
Uggah SnowClash the Dweller of the Wilds, Squirrel Smasher
DescriptionAn enormous hulking beast of a giant hunches over here, still reaching over thirteen feet tall despite his posture. A lack of empathy shines through his determined gaze and bright jade eyes as they dart about his surroundings. His complexion is of a bluish gray hue that you notice of the skin that is not covered by the leather and cloth armors he boasts, unnatural compared to the other first line combatants you have seen through the lands. His hygiene seems to obviously be lacking you assess due to the caked mud upon his skin, twings and debris in his hair, and the dirtiest of extended fingernails. He is obviously seasoned, years of battle within the wood are apparent with random nicks and scars dashed about his body.
His hair is snow white, and pulled tightly in a three strand braid that falls to his mid back, secured tightly with leather strips at the tip. But most noticeable is a hideous burn covering the entire right half of his face. Only one eyebrow is left and is the same color as his hair, bushy, and sitting atop his jade green eyes like snow caps upon a mountain. Below his eyes, an enormous nose juts out, nostrils flaring heavily with each deep breath he takes. Directly blow is a set of pale pink lips smeared across his face in a confident grin, yet only one side seeming to be responsive due to the burn. He certainly appears to be muscular and well defined, the type of body that always seems to be doing strenuous battle as a profession compared to a pastime. Looking closer at him, you also notice that...

RoleChapter 8 The Seeker of Victory (Part 2) Added Sat Aug 18 18:24:28 2012 at level 40:Uggah can feel his skin boiling at the heat of the fire, and tries desperately to get out of Ghrelarg's iron grip around his neck choking him. Blindly reaching for anything around him, he grips some antlers that fell from the mantle and sinks them through Ghrelarg's armpit as the point pokes out of his shoulder and releases his grip from Uggah as he cries out in anguish.
Quickly rising to his feet as he gasps for air, Uggah slips around Ghrelarg in a headlock putting every ounce of his remaining strength into choking the life out of his brother. Ghrelarg's feet kick with fight as Uggah strengthens the grip with determination, all he can think of as the life leaves his brother, is how civilization is choking the life out of his lands in the same exact way and it only refreshes his resolve.
Soon after... it is over, the oversized jeweled silver crown falling from his brothers head to the floor, clanking as it meets the stoney ground. Uggah finally rises, he has pushed himself to his limits and must push even further. Snatching the crown as a sacrifice to his Lord, he got exactly what he came for. He staggers in pain out of a hidden exit below the Throne to the back of the mountain just as the guards get inside.
His angish overcomes him as he howls out to the wolves, the brisk mountain winds lashing over his broken body and burning face. He hears the call of more wolves than he has ever heard return it. They knew, he was Victorious, and he had been since his departure of Ballengrell. It was all merely for a token to secure it for his own self and a lesson for his path.
He clutches the jeweled silver crown as he disappears into the trees, his brothers meeting him to help his pain as he treks back to Thera's charted lands. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- As he melds once again with the woodlands he has grown so used to, he moves to the Heart of the Virgin Forest. Dipping the crown into the beautiful pool, he sits in pain as he examines his burns in the reflection. A sober spirit encompasses him, as he places the crown on the bank. The wilderness seems to attack it in anger and agreement with Uggah, rust covering it quickly as vines reach and consume it.
His eyes darting through the sky for the great Lord Akresius, he holds up the rusted jeweled crown covered in vines as a sacrifice. For his greatest Victory was already won in becoming free, and now it is signified through the struggle to retrieve the token to represent it.

RoleChapter 7 The Seeker of Victory (Part 1) Added Sat Aug 18 18:13:47 2012 at level 40:Charging forward like a bear, Uggah enters the calm of combat, there is no time for words or explanations. Ghrelarg knows why his brother has returned, and he knows only one of them will leave this Throne room alive. Reaching for his sword and still groggy from sleep, Ghrelarg grips it just as Uggah smashes into him shoulder first while sitting in the Throne. Air rushes out of Ghrelarg's lungs from the force of the blow as he stands and barely ducks a strong horizontal swing from Uggah's axe headed straight for his neck.
Spinning around the armrest of the Throne, Ghrelarg bends down and grabs his sword once again as he catches his breath and studies the distance between him and his brother. Uggah stomps his foot on the ground, motioning that is it time to fight as raps can be heard from the few guards outside the door now.
Ghrelarg steps into a diagonal slash swung at the chest of Uggah as the woodsman steps back, getting caught on his forearm as the tip sings at the end of the powerful strike. Quickly noting how he has grown so accustomed to the woodlands, Uggah realizes that fighting like his old self is proving to be coming back slower than he wished. Nevertheless he pulls an axe from his belt to accompany his large hammer and slips a strike towards Ghrelarg, Uggah is parried but the spiked tip of the axe sinks into his brothers shoulder.
Roaring out in mindless anger, Ghrelarg rushes toward Uggah and the clashing of blades grows louder than Uggah has ever heard them ring. He backpedals his brothers relentless slash after slash before sliding to the side and landing a solid hammer stroke to the back of Ghrelarg's knee as he falls to the ground for a moment.
Moving quickly to end it, Uggah begins to swing toward the back of Ghrelarg's head with his hammer but the swing is halted as he loses his grip and the hammer crashes to the ground. Scowling in pain, he looks down and pulls out the sword that has sunken deep into his thigh as casts the sword and axe to the side quickly and falls back, staunching the bleeding with a bit of fur ripped from his cape.
Ghrelarg stands and scowls, his face burning red with anger as he meets Uggah's eyes, still as focused as when he entered, yet squinting at the pain. Both hobbled, they rush toward each other again with nothing left but the strength of their fists and willpower. Ghrelarg lands the better of the blows as he slips a perfect hit to Uggah's belly. Hunching over to breathe, Ghrelarg smashes him into the mantled fireplace breaking shelves in the process as he falls on top of him pushing his head toward the fire.

RoleChapter 6 The Determined Trek to Victory Added Sat Aug 18 18:05:22 2012 at level 40:Looking over Thera, you notice Uggah slipping in and out of the trees in the snowy northern mountains. A righteous silence emanates from him, a fervor you have yet to see. Hours and hours of trekking, and he stumbles upon a few drops of blood, footprints, and a drag trail leading north in the snow. Lowering down, he smells the blood of bear, his brothers favorite meal.
"Him is now King," Uggah whispers under his breath, determination blanketing his face as the snow does the land. Knowing his Father has passed without being shown the error of his ways, Uggah clutches his Hammer. Narrowing his eyes through the blizzard, he scans the snow-capped mountains until the faintest trail of smoke can be seen rising from one in the distance. His thoughts already seem to be well planned, he does not hesitate, and speeds north through the little brush available. Howling loud throughout the range for packs of his true brothers, he hears one in return, and another, and another, he begins to move faster.
Spiritpaths light up in his attuned vision along the way, he knows coming north was the right choice. The mountain grows larger and larger, until he is sure of it, Ballengrell has been revealed to him once again. Setting up camp in the pine trees at the base of the mountain, he camouflages himself as he watches the sun set and the moon begin to rise. Soon it reaches the perfect point, yes, just as it was when he was banished. Howling out once again to the wolves, they return his call. "Brothers know, Uggah should be here."
Stealthily he floats up the mountain, he had not realized how far he had come until his swift movements up the mountain proved ten-fold times more graceful than when he was a warrior here. Coming to the entrance to the inner mountain, he gazes down to the slopes. He feels a moment of pity for the people who were supposed to be his, but shakes it, "Them must know, is not right way to live. Will not have it near as hard as Uggah did." Nodding slowly, he turns his back and lurks into the manmade tunnels of Ballengrell.
The guards all sleep in their quarters, he can hear their snores, they were always lax about protecting the King. No one ever dared a strike on them. Uggah lurks the cavernlike tunnels before coming to a large door. Opening it and entering the anteroom, he locks and boards the door behind him. Turning around, he clutches his hammer as he kicks the door to the Throne down. Splinters fly, and almost seem to be in slow motion to him as he sees his brother awaken from his sleep on the Throne through the falling shattered wood. The shock on his eyes is apparent as Uggah steps forward slowly.
"Hope did not get lazy with sword... Brother."

|
RoleChapter 5 Overview Added Sun Aug 5 17:26:22 2012 at level 30:*Uggah has decided to keep the name of his family, the SnowClash, to remind him where he has came from and the journey it took to stand where he now does.
*He has a severe loyalty to his kin, the betrayal of his brother was beyond race, and the practices, training, and past with the Clouds will never be forgotten. Though, for him to come to a place to call someone a brother, will be the greatest of all names.
*Further unveiling after his movement into Thera of the ranger savages has been his enlightenment. Humble enough to admit when he is ignorant of things, he has been training under their guidance. For it is now his belief, the strongest things in this land, come from the earth that you can make with your bare hands.
*Training to be king has given him a very strong focus on combat, integrating strikes and maneuvers of his previous training, and he sometimes loses himself in combat. Such is his bane sometimes, but in time the security of the forest and guerrilla warfare will overcome him with maturity.
*He has strong feelings of Victory and the freedom it brings. For he was enlightened after being at the lowest a man can be in defeat and watched how high it can quickly turn into Victory. Because of this, he applies this principle to every area of his life and seeks further guidance under it's sphere. He may measure it different than most, but the end result of Victory can only be measured by the man who considers it.
*In the future, he cannot deny that revenge grips his heart, and he will likely let his rage reach the extent of his brothers new kingdom if he is ever able to discover where exactly Ballengrell was.
*After meeting men such Jawn Foote, he has learned of a refuge for men that think alike at least in someways. He knows the forest is now his home, but the feeling of having his own branch among others, feeling family again, is a great passion. For this, he shall seek the Outlanders.
*Time and mistakes, with lessons from the Great Spirit now guide this young woodsman. He gives himself with full commitment, to now only see if he can steer his own life in the midst of them.

RoleChapter 4 Indebted Protection Repaid Added Sun Aug 5 17:00:57 2012 at level 30:After months, he finally began to run with his new friends. Simple gazes, growls, and looks were the beginning, they had a language and he was learning it. The spirit behind the eyes of these beasts was captivating. He was overcome with supernatural joy every night before he laid to rest within the woods after that. Soon it extended to hearing the forest speak to him, such an odd terrain from what he was used to, but it was the first that he could ever hear speak! The pain, the joy, the healing, the pure life emanating from it... it was more than merely a place. The Great Spirit spoke to him, through it.
Uggah continued running with his pack of friends for some time, and he was even able to discern their personalities and know their desires from simply looking into their eyes. He spent many years with the wolves learning what foods to eat and what to not, how to hunt, and most of all how to hear the Great Spirit.
Soon the wolves were prompted to let Uggah go, for he had learned all he needed. The Great Spirit directed them out of the maze of a woodland where they dwelled until they came upon the charted lands of Thera. The Great Spirit spoke to his soul and consoled him, and he knew it was where he had to part.
Knowing that fate grabbed him from where he stood and placed him on better ground, Uggah has become one with himself, and he stands victorious. Though he missed his father at first.. he realized there was a different calling on his life... that he was released and adopted in the same moment. Now he wishes to glorify the One that spared his life, and mix his brutal previous training with the fight of a ranger to protect the Great Spirit.

|
RoleChapter 3 Death to Victory Added Sun Aug 5 16:58:59 2012 at level 30:Uggah awoke slowly and cried with each movement he tried to make. He opened his eyes and attempted to look about his surroundings, yet he could not make out where he was. He was laying upon wet leaves within a dark forest completely foreign to him. The odd feeling of sticky sweat irritated him, but was easily overlooked due to all his pain.
He heard footsteps begin to rustle in the distance that seemed to be accompanied by more and more as his heart surged with fear. He closed his eyes and begin to whisper.. "Uggah not deserve anything.. but asks, someone protect Uggah, someone... please save Uggah". But his eyes opened to four snarling large wolves glaring at him hungrily in his bloody and beaten state.
He waited for their strike and closed his eyes, realizing it was now his time, and to accept death like a true warrior. Until suddenly, he felt a gentle breeze roll over him and caress his body, whispering "Help him my children," as it surged with one final gust. The wolves removed theirselves from the attack stance they stood in, and walked to Uggah slowly as they tended carefully to his wounds.
As time continued, Uggah was nourished by the pack of loyal wolves. They would forage for him and bring back wild nuts, berries, and mushrooms until he was able to move more. Much different than he was used to, but enough protein to naturally promote his recovery. His bones healed together as they were before, and the whole time he could feel himself becoming one with the woods, he felt as if he could finally hear it speak to him. It was the first time in his life, where the bustle of civilization dissipated, politics disappeared, and he had nothing but time alone without any responsibilities. He was... free.

#41136, "Uggah's Role Chapter 2"
|
RoleChapter 2 Brotherly Betrayal Added Sun Aug 5 16:56:39 2012 at level 30:Uggah had lived with his father and brother in the depths of the mountain ever since he was born, but as he continued to excel in his studies and battle-training to make his father proud.. his father decided it was time to reward him with his own dwelling as a step into manhood. The King could see the envy continuously building up within Ghrelarg as well, and he feared for the safety of his beloved child and future king. With the safety of his son in mind, he constructed him his own secure dwelling on the slopes of the mount, just as his father did for him, but little did he know.. it would be the bane of his child...
After Uggah had moved in, there came a night that changed everything. Ghrelarg knew that he would live in his brothers shadow for his whole life if he did not make a move, so he and three of his cronies planned a strike upon him. As Uggah laid to rest in the darkness, Ghrelarg and his band lurked to his abode as the foreign sound of light snow caressed the roof of his home.
Brute force opened the door swiftly as they darted into Uggah's house, and with a well planned quickness, they decended upon him like a skilled assassination plot. Ghrelarg gagged him and they bound his legs and his hands behind his back as they lifted him from his bed. Struggling with all his might, Uggah tried to free himself as they relentlessly landed crushing blows with makeshift weapons. As they carried the brutally weakened Uggah out of the front door they threw him down the side of the mountain. Uggah fell helplessly, each eye opening tumble leading him into new sharp rocks and blunt boulders. Finally coming to a halt, his shattered back, arms and legs rendered him completely immobile. Wincing in agony, the pain consumed him as the darkness began to set in.
Writhing about in anguish and nearly unconscious, Uggah laid there as he heard his deceitful brother flying down the mountain to him. He closed his eyes and just continued his muffled pained utterances from behind the gag he choked on. "You never be better then me, my brother..." echoed off his eardrums as he opened his eyes. The gag was ripped out of his mouth but he had no energy left to even cry out. He was finally able to focus upon his brother as Ghrelarg grinned evilly with a glowing vial in hand. "You can die somewhere else and be erased forever Uggah." spoke Ghrelarg as he poured a mysterious vial of liquid down Uggah's throat.
Uggah's head began to pound with his heart rapidly matching it's pulses before he passed out from the pain he could not stand any longer, his brother's clamoring cackles fading slowly into nothingness.

|
RoleChapter 1 Beginnings Added Sun Aug 5 16:53:41 2012 at level 30:The life of this young woodsman has been nothing short of arduous, yet a strong spirit can never be broken...
Uggah was birthed in Ballengrell, a large city of intricate ancient cloud giant construct, quite peaceful and hidden from the outside world, north of the Udgarrian mountains. The city itself was breathtaking, etched into an enormous mountain with work being extended to the whole range to expand the kingdom. Fine chiseling consisting of countless statues and wall art lined the complicated passageways that tunneled through the mountain leading to the more important places.
Uggah's father had reigned as king for hundreds of years, with might and integrity, and hailed by all as the greatest of all kings. His queen had passed giving birth to Uggah and his twin, Ghrelarg, but he continued his strong rule.
Ghrelarg was a mischevious prank artist, the one child whom can never understand maturity because things are at his disposal. Always creating chaos everywhere he went, even within battle training in the most sacred and serious practices held by the Clouds. Uggah began to grow severe disdain for his brother, and the tainting of their family name, the SnowClash, it brought them. Uggah's father could not help but show more favor toward his more well behaved son, as he was becoming older and knowing his leadership, one day, and soon, would fade.
