#39342, "[None] Tzaritzawah Tenebraus the Mummy Lord, Anathema to the Empire"

Tzaritzawah Tenebraus the Mummy Lord, Anathema to the Empire

Description

Darkness. This word comes to mind at the same moment you stare in abject
horror at this... being. First, you see only the pitch-black void slowly the
shadows gain some grainy detail, a massive wound in the very body of reality
bleeding with swirling tentacles of negative energy. When your eyes adapted
to that darkness, you see a giant figure within.

Tzaritzawah. Once a mage, and now something else - oozing power and emanating
a palpable aura of trepedation. Black bandages are tightly swaddled around
his body, leaving only his dead sockets filled with two burning orbs,
swirling with infernal energy, violet sparks of unholy power leaking from
within. You meet his gaze - cold, emotionless and totally inhuman. Where once
his hands and arms must have been, dark claws crackling with eldritch power
burst forth, demonic and deadly.

The aura of death and inevitability surrounds the Mummy Lord Tzaritzawah.

Dark Mastery
Added Fri Nov 11 04:24:38 2011 at level 51:

Tzaritzawah sat in the hall of the Black Sect and celebrating his success.
Though recently he suffered demotion from the envious and cowardly Empress
that failed to become a true leader of the Empire (as he thought, at least),
he reached one of the most important goals in his life.

He growled in amusement and threw the silver-bound tome into the window.
Finally, he do not need that blasted thing that greately annoyed him - but
nevertheless been useful for all those years. Since he was a mortal child, he
dedicated his life to the Art. He became undead to ensre that he will reach
his goal - total and absolute mastery over Necromancy.

He, Tzaritzawah Tenebraus, reached pinnacle of his guild, where no one ever
been before (or so he thought). Now, he will look forward for even more power
and new recearches that no mortal (or undead) has ever uncovered. He will
become arch-necromancer, and he will lead the the Necromaqncer Guilds in
whole Thera. And every necormancer will be his black servant... or will die
horrible death.

Clearing the way
Added Sat Jul 30 03:40:41 2011 at level 47:

After the Council have failed their coup against Emperor, all of them were
thrown out of the Empire. Tzaritzawah enjoyed this event, because he it opened
a great future before him: position of the Dreadlord and probably Emperor himself!
Yet, there were one, huge minus: Cotzibue. Powerful and strong, skilled and wicked,
she is immune to almost anything Tzaritzawah had in his magical arsenal.

Realising all that, Tzaritzawah developed an evil plan. He will fool that dangerous
being, and he will promise her position in the Empire when he will gain power there.
Meanwhile, he will do everything to become undead himself and gain immunity to mummys
tricks himself. Now, he had more chances for that than before: Empire was weak as
never before, and now two undeads were opposing it: Tavlin and Cotzibue, though she
didn't realise yet: she had no way to return into the Empire, if Tzaritzawah will
success in his ultimate goal - to meet Arborian undead Priest, and, with his assistance,
become a fearful lich.

Foolishness of the ex-Council and impatience of the mummy to take the Throne turned out
as a greatest oportunity in his life. Tzaritzawah was glad that he has put thought about
the coup into Cotzibue's hollow head... though she never realised that even after their
dramatical failure.

Now, Tzaritzawah only needed to meet Emperor Sivyh and discuss with him happened events.
Tzaritzawah knew what to say when this time will come. He was good politician, after all,
if he managed to remove mummy from his way, using flattering and assuring mummy in her
ultimate power and authority. It was easy, but hardest part still was awaiting - meeting
with the Arborian Priest. Tzaritzawah had no doubt that this meeting will happens soon.
Earlier, he sent a zombie with his message to the High Priest and knew that message have
been delivered. Arborian Priest should have been prepairing for the meeting, and
Tzaritzawah was waiting.

Letter to Kassandra Tenebraus, Month of the Battle, day of the Sun.
Added Mon Aug 22 02:53:05 2011 at level 47:

To the Udgaardian Witch, Kassandra Tenebraus, from her son, Tzaritzawah
Tenebraus.

Dear mother!

Sorry that I did not write you for so long. I've been occupied with my search
for further power and knowledge, and finally I moved from the point where
I've been stuck for so long. I do not know for good or for bad, though... You
decide.

Yesterday, I met High Priest of Arboria, and his assistent, Davarrah. Meeting
went wrong all the way and I barely made it out alive. First, they wanted to
use me as a sacrifice; but I managed to evade that perilous situation, but
instead of examinig my body and prepairing the famous Elixir of Death, priest
went absolutely crazy and almost killed me.

I've been diseased with the plague and burden, and if not Davarrah, now I
would be dead. Sh distracted the Priest at the cost of my blood. Yes, she is
a daywalker-vampire, imagine that.

But I have a feeling that this meeting and my failure (if it was failure)
with the priest was her doing. She is plotting something, and I am affraid
that she chosen me to turn into a vampire. It would be very sad, if it would
happen to me, since I would be limited by the night time and unable to walk
at the daytime at all. I do not wish that, and she made it clear that
daywalker may be only one - herself. Though there must be ways to overcome
that limitation, she will not share it.

So, now I do not know what to do. If I will come to the priest again, will he
wish to continue what did he began, or will his madness take another shape?
Or will he be in a better state of mind and will hear what I am telling to
him? Was it a total failure, or vice versa - is it beginning of something? I
don't know, don't know. But, at least, we finally met and I've put seeds into
his mind. If they will grow up into something productive, only time will
show.

My imperial business is somewhat stopped in progress. Current emperor is
upset on the ex-council and especially black sect and is affraid to name me
as a Dread Lord. He is keeping empire weak on purpose, and it is so sad to
see empire weakened so much. Only one person feels comfortable in empire -
himself. Too bad there are no one to deal with him, and I cannot do it too
due to the imperial laws. I only hop time will finally do the work and he
will die... and when he do that, I will torment his dead body and even
spirit, and will not allow that wench to rest in peace.

Now, I wish you all the best, and hopefully soon I will travel to your tower
to visit you!
Sincerely yours, your son Tzaritzawah Tenebraus, Elite Warlock of the Empire.

Page from Tzaritzawah's diary
Added Mon Aug 29 15:02:05 2011 at level 47:

"Day of Freedom, Month of Winter.
My art is progressing, while my body is giving out faster than I would want it to do.
While negative power flowing through me, it is affecting me more and more,
withering my flesh. Now, I am old, and soon will become even older, if will not
manage to convince Arborian Lich to work for me, somehow. If I will fail, well...
i will become another worthless pile of rotting bones.
I don't know how much time left for this body, and even if I will have time
to become something more than I am.

I am depressed. I cannot believe that all my effort will be useless.
But, despite all that, I will not give up! I am powerful enough to overcome that!
It's all in the hands of fate now. I will fight until I success, or die.

Renunciation
Added Sat Sep 24 08:00:50 2011 at level 47:

After time has passed, Tzaritzawah figured that the dark god Reksah, whom
he was seeking as a patron in necromancy was not expert in it at all.
He didn't care for the scholars of the art. He only did care for those
who serverd him in the chasm. In other words, scions betrayed imperials again,
but now on another level.

Tzaritzawah hated scions even more now, and despised Reksah more than
anyone or anything else. He changed his spells and rituals, removing every bit
of power that he did draw from Reksah before. Reksah will be forgotten now forever.

With that, realising that High Priest won't answer him came to his mind.
Tzaritzawah thought that his game is came to the end, and time to prepare
place in the graveyard for himself. It saddened him - life passed so quick,
and he didn't learned as much as he wanted. He was an outcast for unknown to him
reason, and he began to get used to it. Who cares, death is so close anyways.

Success!
Added Fri Oct 7 12:31:03 2011 at level 47:

He rose from the sarcophagus. He did not breath, his heart was dead and gone.
Instead of it, a shining crystal was imbued into his chest. A phylactery,
where once his soul was imprisoned - during long, long subjective ages, while
only a few weeks passed: time, required for his Becoming. He successed, and
survived. Or successfully died? This didn't matter anymore. He has conquered
death, and now death itself became his ally. Years and years of studies
didn't pass vacantly. He laughed - but no voice came out of his dead lungs.

Tzaritzawah 'looked' around. He couldn't see as before, with his eyes, but
something that swirled in his eyesockets served him much better. Now he could
see much more than earlier. Ultraviolet colors; infra-red; flows of magic in
the air. Reward for the undeads - beauty that no creature made of bone and
flesh can ever think about.

He raised his hand and looked at it. Carefully bandaged into his colors -
pitch-black, but now crowned with the dangerously looking claws. He never had
claws like that, but he recognized small gift from Conservator, who now left
to continue his dreadful work.

Tzaritzawah opened his mouth and sent energy, that coursed through his body,
into lungs, forcing them to shrink, then to expand and to shrink again.
"Victory!" - he said, pushing air through his dead mouth.

And then he laughed again - balefully, contentedly and now - loud.

Death in Udgaard
Added Sat Oct 15 05:04:14 2011 at level 51:

She was dying, lying on the massive bed. Dark magic, with a bits of vampirism
and balecabbala, prolonged her life as much as possible - totally, she lived
for almost two hundred years. Of course, her deal with the dark night guest
played a key role in her lifetime too, but about that she prefered not to
think - as well as of where she will go after dying. But now, she smiled to
another dark being that were standing at her bed. Her best achievement in
this world, her beloved son - undead and horrible now.

"I'm here to say farewell to you, my mother Kassandra", said Tzaritzawah with
a great respect. "I will take care of your grave, so nobody will bother your
remains... ever".

Kassandra smiled weakly and sighed: "Don't worry about it, dear. Nobody will
bother my spirit from the moment i die... There is one, who will take care of
it. And you... promise me... don't ever... ever try to contact me".

Silence. Then: "Why?"

She looked into his burning with a violet flame eyes. "He will catch you,
that's why. Now, when you are so powerful... he will want you even more. I
cannot hide you anymore... you are... too... powerful to hide...". Her voice
became weaker and weaker.

"WHO?!" - he shouted. "TELL ME!". He stepped closer, grabed her shoulder and
shaked her body. Dead. He sweared and stepped back, when dark cloud
materialized above corpse of her mother.

"I am proud of you, my dark son" - said voice in his head. "Before i go...
you must know one thing. He will come for you, to take you with him. You need
all the power you can achieve. You need an army. Take the throne... until
it's too late..."

The next moment, dark cloud submerged into a floor and vanished. Only echo
ringed in his mind: "Remember... remember... remember...".

A little bit of revenge to Reksah
Added Sat Oct 15 06:39:31 2011 at level 51:

Tzaritzawah was murdering another unicorn with his blades, when Reksah
stepped out form the darkness. Reksah was in anger, and he had a good reason.
Tzaritzawah would smirk, if he had lips. But he only nod, anticipating
Reksah's explosion.

Everything went as he thought. He answered to Rekah's call for necromancy
Art, and sent a good work to him. But since Reksah ignored him all that time
before, and since he rejected Reksah, he knew: Reksah wouldn't be able to put
anything of this in work. Shady god was too proud to accept his the fact that
Tzaritzawah appeared to be better than he expected.

But Tzaritzawah had t obe careful. He apologied slightly. No, of ocurse he
never said that Reksah knows nothing of necromancy! - (here he mentally
smirked again).

"Why did you send it to me, mage?" - asked confused Reksah. "Did you not say
that you don't need me anymore?"

"For the sake of the Art that is my passion, Reksah", - Answered Tzaritzawah.
- "But i don't need anything from you now. You see what you have lost, by
ignoring me earlier... and now, it is too late".

"So, you will not have your reward!" - Reksah hissed in anger.

"I don't need anything from you, yes" - Answered the dark mage and thought: "I
just wanted to show you what you have lost. I wanted you to be sad, to regret
your arrogance. You lost your precious Tavlin, didn't you? And as soon as
your toy is gone, you are here. No way!".

Reksah clasped his dark hands together: "So be it!", and vanished into the
shadows.

Tzaritzawah made a hollow laughing sound. First part of his plan worked well.
Now, he need to meet Davarrah and sell his inventions to him, and to his
guild. Perhaps together they will find a way to use those powers that he
showed to Reksah as a bait.

Tzaritzawah clasped his hands too, and black badnages stirred, like a living
snakes.

Voting for the Throne - Intrigues
Added Mon Oct 31 06:24:14 2011 at level 51:

Tzaritzawah developed a good plan to take the throne. Once he took the seat
in Council, he dedicated his life to assist other councillors with anything
they needed. Mostly, with the powerful items that they were always hungry
for. Beside that, he relentlessly hunted enemies, destroying as many as he
could. Everyone seen his productivity, and began to respect him.

When voting began, Eleagra first gave her vote for Tzaritzawah.

After that, Tzaritzawah told shadow lord that Raegahn will vote for Eleagra,
and Eleagra - for the priest. "Let's exchange our votes, shadow lord... if it
will be a tie, Lords will chose the best. I am sure that high priestess and
war master will vote for each other". And shadow lord agreed, promising
Tzaritzawah his vote.

Next came high priestess. She said that only Tzaritzawah and herself are
deserving the throne, and offered exchange. Tzaritzawah agreed, but required
an oath - and Raegahn sworn with the name of Lord Enlilth that he will vote
for Tzaritzawah.

Everything seemed to be under control. But when time for the naming Emperor
came, nobody were named for a while. Dread Lord have been sitting in the
guild of udgaard, researching his spells, and pondering: what actually
happened? Did someone lie to him? And if someone did, is there a tie?

Doesn't matter. Throne will be his, sooner or later. And if someone would
dare to seat on it... this someone will not sit there for very long time. He
clapped his bandaged hands and grins evilly, anticipating interesting events
that soon will take the place. His strategy was flawless - at the any
outcome, throne he will take the throne.

Meeting with the Imp again
Added Wed Nov 2 05:13:15 2011 at level 51:

Tzaritzawah sat on his chair in the the Chamber of the Council of Four and
thought, when something stirred in the shadows. Dread Lord glared in that
direction and Imp stepped out from the darkness. He laughed and smirked,
looking at the non-Emperor.

- What? Came to mock me, you little filth? - Asked angered Dread Lord.

- No, no, sir! Of course not! - Giggled the Imp. - But perhaps you shouldn't
piss lords.. ALL the lords so much?

Tzaritzawah growled and snapped his clawed hands.

- I've been expecting that and did what must be done. Our enemies are
weakened, though yes... It costed me a throne.

- So should you tear your ass so much, if at the end you got the Throne and
gave power to someone else? - Smirked the Imp.

Tzaritzawah pondered.

- Probably not. But it is too late to change something now. I am cursed, I am
despised, I am nothing but a target for mockery... As always been from
beginning.

Imp laughed, but looked surprised.

- It is not true. You still have a chance... should you accept my assistance.
It will cost you almost nothing...

Dread Lord looked at the Imp intently.

- What do you want for your help? - He asked little dark creature.

- You see... - For the first time, Imp looked confused. - I've been thrown
out from the Hell for my jokes. Very much like you, I am frowned from above.
If you could gain favor of Satan... and bring me back...

Tzaritzawah laughed evilly.

- Gain favor? Me? You must be kidding again. You are here to torment me,
aren't you?

Imp sniffed saddly.

- You decide. You have a chance... what would you be? A Picker, or a powerful
and respected magician?

Dread Lord grwled in anger.

- If there is a chance to change things, I will do it. If not... - He almost
yelled now - I will turn lives of others into a living hell! I will bring
this hostility upon everyone, and I will crush their spirits as Gods have
crushed MINE!

Imp snorted.

- Your choice, Picker!

- No, not mine. I will wait for a sign, and if there won't be any, I will act
accordingly.

Imp snorted again, and in a blink, he was gone in a flash of dark smoke.

Binding of the Bones
Added Tue Jun 28 07:51:19 2011 at level 19:

It was midnight, and he was standing in the middle of Galadonian graveyard.
He was looking at the fresh tomb of the peasant, named Jharan Barun. "So proud
name for a simple peasant", he thought. "And now, he is nothing but a corpse".

He took six black candles and put them on the ground, on the tombstone. For now,
he will let him sleep, but older bones he will use. It was his first attempt
on bone golem - difficult and dangerous magic, but promising him much more
power than he had earlier.

"Abrazaa, Feimorra ula-ala er feimos!", he begun, and cnadles ignited by itself.

"Sannora Sacraa, isingnia!", he continued, and ground begun to tremble. Horrible
moaning rang within the graveyard silence, and first bone apeared from under the
ground.

"Nazmorglaa, Sattanise! I command you - rise!", Hr finished declaration and second,
louder moan and groan disturbed graveyard. More bones crawled by itself from
underground and, animated by evil energy, transformed into a humanoid-like body.
Figure stood before him - weak, shaking and shuddering creature.

"Bow before your master!" - ordered Tzaritzawah to his creation, and it fell to
it's undead's kneees. Tzaritzawah spat in disgust. This wasn't what he desired.

"With my blood, and my flesh, and my will, I epower you! Rise, and eat, and become
true creautre of the Death!", and Tzaritzawa cut his little finger with obsidian knife.
Then, he threw his finger to the golem, ordering: "Take my flesh, and eat my flesh!"

His bony creature took the finger and began eating it. It's empty eyes filled with red
glow, and shivering slowly stopped. He stood up, and turned his burning eyes to the master.

"Orderin... masster... moooorrreeee!" - bony thing moaned to Tzaritzawah.
"Enough!" barked Tzaritzawah, looking at his wounded arm. "The deal is signed and payed
from now forever. Follow me!", and he walked out from the graveyard, followed by the
horrible creature - and think line of bloody drops.

News from the home
Added Sat Jul 23 03:24:11 2011 at level 47:

This time, his servitor, the raven-zombie, arrived burned and looks like he
passed through the burning oven. Yet, in his beek he had something - a
message! Undead raven crawled on the tree and spat the letter into
Tzaritzawahs hands.

It was letter from the home, and it had some wondering news.

"My dear dark son, my Tzaritzawah!
I apology to you that I did not reply to you earlier. We have been attacked
by the armies that had suddenly arrived to Udgaard from two directions: first
army arrived from the west, leaded by the paladins. Those have been giant
people with pale skin - cloud giants, as you know them. They broke into the
west gate of Udgaard and began to destroy the city. Second army entered from
the south - it was people from the Fortress, leaded by their catain. I, and
my people, had to defend the east gate - wood-elves from Evermoon Gallow
joined those two armies. To make it short, we have successed and I am not
wounded. Half of the people of Udgaard are dead, and it's a heavy strike on
the city's economical system. Captain of the Fortress retreated, barely alive
- so many wounds he received. If not his faith (I must respect strength of
it, though I still despise those zealots), he would be certainly dead. Before
all this started, I managed to sneak into his tent and attempted to seduce
him, but failed. Looks like I am getting too old for that... after all, even
my vampiric magic cannot preserve my youth forever.

About your promotion - congratulations! I am glad to inform you that I have
been promoted too, after successful defending of the Udgaard. Now, I am an
official Black witch of Udgaard. So, should you need something from the
shadow rulers of the city, just let me know and I will see what can be pulled
out of it.

Did you meet the tainted elven priest that dwells Armbria already? How did it
go, will he work with you on your future?

With darkest kisses, your mother
Kassandra Tenebraus, Black Witch of Udgaard.
P.S. About the secret you are digging into - please, don't do it, for your
own sake... and for the sake of this world! Though it... he... is my lover,
or once was, should you angry it... you don't imagine the consequences!
Should you continue your investigation, be very, very careful and furtive."

Tzaritzawah sighed slightly. At home everything were good, but he couldn't
tell the same about his own progress. Now, his magical spells were much more
powerful, but also a lot more difficult and hard to master; he had no answer
from Reksah, arborian priest ignored him for a while already and cotzibue
were sitting in the councillor chair for ages now. He wrote a quick reply to
his mother and sat down on the chair in his black sect hall.
He must do something, and do it quick - before he withers and dies, killed by
the most terrible killer - the Time.

Letter to Kassandra Tenebraus, 8th of the Month of the Grand Struggle.
Added Wed Jul 20 07:43:49 2011 at level 47:

To my dear dark morth, lady Kassandra Tenebraus.
I am glad to let you know that I have began my search for Reksah. I know where he can be met, but so
far I had no luck to meet him. But I believe, eventually I will meet him, I have so many things to discuss with him.

Also, I want to let you know that I finally decided to move further. I visited Arboria and the cleric, who are working there.
He was occupied, but I've send one of his zombies to him with a note, informing him about my business.
It was a strange zombie, and I do not beleive it was a simple zombie - damned thing was too smark and even made a joke.
So, I am pretty sure he have my message and soon we will meet with him, to begin my search for eternity.

I am wondering about absence of the news from you. Last time, my raven arrived scratched and burned, without any note.

Your dark son,
Tzaritzawah Tenebraus, Elite Imperial Warlock.

P.S. I think I know your secret that you are keeping from me since my birth, and I think I know why.

From Tzaritzawah to Kassandra Tenebraus
Added Fri Jul 15 05:40:06 2011 at level 40:

Hello, my deark dark mother!

I am glad to inform you of my success. For now, I am known as Elite Warlock
of the Empire, and one of their most talented necromancers. It's only
beginning of my way, though. I still have so many things to achieve, though I
never thought I will go through imperial ranks so fast. Nor it ever truly
interested me... before. But still, I am concerned of the Art more that of
anything else. I must admit, joining Empire gave me a great power and many
resources that allows me to move on the way of Necromancy much quicker than
before.

But now I see that the problem is coming and I realise, why some of our guild
are becoming undead beings themself. It's not only grants power (and
suffering, I suppose), but, what is most important - it extends existance in
this world for eternity. As a mortal man, I have learned so many secrets and
magical rituals... and even more I have to learn. I am not getting younger; I
am aging quickly, probably because of the negative energy that flows through
my physical body and the very soul. If I will not do something, I will die
soon enough and will never reach a true mastery.

This leads me to conclusion that I have no other choice but to seek undead
immortality for myself. I know, it is a risky way, but it is only one way
that is available for me. Do not worry about it, though - I am sure I will
success. I have strength of the spirit, necessary luck and knowledge. Soon as
I finish my research, I will go to seek patronage of dark lord Reksah and,
should he find me worthy, I believe that he will teach me of the most dark,
horrible and mysterious secrets of the Art.

I wish you all the best and all the dark!
Your son, Tzaritzawah Tenebraus.

Improvement of the Art
Added Sat Jul 9 02:51:07 2011 at level 35:

Tzaritzawah entered the Imperial Graveyard and quickly pained a pentagramm on the dry ground. It was time to improve
his standart rituals of summonings that he took from the guildmaster. His zombies were not smart enough, and his mummy
was not powerful enough. He needed to develop a way to improve his undead followers.

"Drop that corpse there!", Ordered Tzaritzawah to his golem. Moaning, rotting figure walked into the circle and dropped corpse
of the mutilated dwarf. "Now, get out of there!", Shouted Tzaritzawah, and with more moans, golem walked out.

Tzaritzawah opened his black notepad and examined his notes. It was his secret book, where he were storing all his own
researches. Now, he was going to call not forgotten names of the demons that were depp in Inferno, but name of the Dark God
Reksah. He stumbled upon this name a while ago, but had no enough power and knowledge to call upon his name. Now though,
he was ready.

He pointed his finger into the corpse and began his dark declamation:
"Colpriziana, offina alta nestra, fuaro menu, i call thee, spirit of deceased! Rise, in the name of Reksah, and submit to my will!"

First, nothing happened, except for usual for such rituals convulses of the dead corpse. But after that, something changed.
Dark fog condencated above the graveyard; it swirled and hummed with power. With the loud roar, two tentacles extruded from
the swirling fog and entered eyes of the dead dwarf. At the next moment, deafening scream of pain ringed in the air - surprisingly,
because dead creatures usually are immune to pain. But it was a pain, without any doubt. Fog fully ntered the corpse, which
now stood in front of Tzaritzawah, looking into his eyes. Eyes were red, glowing - and with the spark of intellect.

"Step out, slave!", Commanded Tzaritzawah to his zombie, unsure if it will obey to his order. But zombie obeyed - with a low
growl.

Now, it was time for a less complicated work - to create a mummy, or a ghoul if he would be lucky. He began to chant with a low
tones, slowly increasing volume and tembre, and at the end, it almost became a kind of warcry:

"I evoke you, creature of the dark! I conjure you, ghost of the past, and bind you with my will! Rise from the dead and bow before your master!"

Shadows deepened before him and ground began to shake. Finally, a huge crack appeared before him, and dark creature emerged
from under the ground. It hissed and bowed slightly before Tzaritzawah in quiet obeyance.

Tzaritzawah closed his notepad and breathed out. Everything worked as he planned and expected. His mother will be proud of
his achievements none the less than himself. And his father - who was he, by the way - if he is watching him, probably feels the
same.

Raven's return
Added Thu Jul 7 13:02:32 2011 at level 35:

Tzaritzawah was sitting on the Hamsah docks, vivisecting a human merchant, when he heard familiar sqweak.
He put his knife aside and turned to the sound. It was his undead-messanger - zombie of the raven.
On his leg, Tzaritzawa found a small rolled paper. He took it and and opened.

"Dear son!
I heard rumors of you taking the blood oath from the Empire. Though it is not where I have seen you in my dreams,
I am glad that you have finally made a choice. But you must understand, that you will never be able to remain a simple citizen.
You will always be hungry for knowledge and perfection, and power that comes through the Art.
This is why you have been born, and it is deep in your soul. I cannot tell you more, for now - it's not a time yet.
But, your purpose in this world is much more than becoming imperial mage, Dread Lord or even Emperor.
When time comes, you will know. Please, be careful now; forces, that have been slumbering, now aware of your existance.

Let the Darkness cover you from your enemies!
With love, mom."

Tzaritzawah growled and scowled. After that, he burned the paper and scattered ash in the wet sea breeze.

Empire
Added Thu Jul 7 06:21:22 2011 at level 33:

After his conversations with different mages and leaders, Tzaritzawah finally made a decision.
Due to his organized nature, he calculated all the possibilities, and took an oath from Wiril.
First, he granted himself safety from many imperials - and, most important, from Wiril.
his imperial citizenship.

Of course, there will be things to do, fight that he would avoid otherwise.
But promises of power and support were much more temptating than those drawbacks.

Choosing the affiliation
Added Wed Jul 6 04:57:09 2011 at level 32:

After some time, Tzaritzawah still had not chosen affiliation. From one side, he was fine by himself.
From other side, he was endangering himself by declining different offers, especially very demanding
invitation to the Empire. But, he seen no reason to join any of those forces. He did care only of himself
and of his Art; joining any of them would delay him and prevent him from becoming a true master of Necromancy.

From the other side, he could gain more power and knowledge from joining one of those organizations.
And Tzaritzawah decided to make his own research - analysis of possible ways.
For that, he had to meet members of each organization, to hear what they would say about it.

Weird meeting in Hamsah Mu'tazz, part II
Added Fri Jul 1 03:55:51 2011 at level 26:

Tzaritzawah pondered on what the devilish imp said and scowled.
"All those choices are so tempting, that I will take my time to think", Tzaritzawah said finally.
"When you say it this way, all of them sounds like a joke. Why do I think that you, for some unknown
to me reason, are here to prevent me from siding with one of those forces?", he glared at the imp.

Imp snorted. "Aren't you too smart, mortal?", he said, giggling, but not so happily as before.

"I could be smarter, if I'd not listen you at all!", growled Tzaritzawah.
"Though I understand your intention, now process of chosing is even more difficult, because
I will surely pick a side - but which? Now, I must chose thoughtfully. And if you said all that to
make me think that you want to prevent me from the siding, but knowing that I will understand your
plan and will think about siding even harder?", asked Tzaritzawah and scowling again.

"You are genius!", shouted imp and fell into the fountain, laughing. Smoke evaporated from the water,
peasants and prostitutes jumped away, feared by the sudden smoky explosion. When smoke dissolved,
imp vanished with it.

Tzaritzawah scratched his chin and grinned. Whatever imp wanted to do, he surely did it.
Or did he not?

Weird reeting in Hamsah Mu'tazz
Added Fri Jul 1 03:45:34 2011 at level 26:

He entered Hamsah Mu'tazz city gate and walked to the Center Square. The city amazed him:
a lot of people of all kinds - rich traders, guards, nomads, beggars and prostitutes; Wizards
alchemists, soldiers and peasants - all of them were boiling together, under the hot desert sun.

He stood at the fountain and pondered, uncertain where to go. Of course, he will go to the
necromancer's guild soon, but before, he wanted to learn more of the city and it's surroundings.

There was a little giggle behind his back. "You looking like a lost child, looking for his parents",
smirked soft, sqeaking voice.

Tzaritzawah turned clockwise and found no one. "I'm here, boy!" said the voice again from behind
his back.

Tzaritzawa quickly half-turned and then returned to his previous position - and finally catched
creature that giggled and smirked at him. To his surprise, it was a little dark imp. And, no
one else seems to have noticed him. Knowing that imps are quite vile and dangerous, Tzaritzawa calmed
his anger. He knew, that imps might be helpful sometimes - if you are not a trustful fool, of course.

"Yes. I am new to this part of the lands, and I am planning where to go next", he answered to the imp.
"And why you want to go somewhere at all?" asked little imp, dancing on the fountain border.
"Because, I seek the knowledge and power. Isn't it obvious? It's what I am hungry for".
"Quite typicall for your kin", laughed imp. "Well, I'll help you to understand your possible choices".

"To the west, you have passed Galadon. Keepers of the Laws, so-called Tribunals of the Spire,
are dwelling there. If you care for the safety of citizens, you can seek them and become their daddy".

"To the south, Scions of Eternal night are crawling within the Chsam. They are my favorite kin,
because they are dealing with my demonic people and annoying them quite a bit. That's quite funny!
If you want to become their lover, you can join the Chasm and hot relationships are guranteed!"

"To the north, evil Empire is located. All those people, who want to dominate this lands
and become rulers are taking bloodoath and becoming slaves of each other. They are quite amazing,
because each of them dreaming of the Throne, but most of them ending up as a slaves or Anathemas!"

"To the east, past the sea, you can find Cult of Scarab. I'd say you a lot mroe about them, I have
plenty of enjoyable stories about that people, but I'd better not risk angering their patron God,
Scarabaeus Sacer himself. If you want to be lonely, abandoned and idealistic seeker of truth, go there".

"Rest of the places are not for you, you won't find a lot of fans in Outlanders, or Fortress.
Of course, you could become a Herald and spend your life in the inn, drinking with same useless
people who only boasts about their great deeds, but doing nothing else, if you like!", and he laughed.

Raven was sitting on the branch of a big elm, looking somewhere, when that happened.
First, he suddenly felt pain, but it quickly left, as his body turned into a frozen corpse.
Then, he fell to the ground and world went black.

Tzaritzawah stood above the dead Raven, examining it with the toe of his black boot.
"You are much better now, my dear. You will become smart, and obedient", he said, but got no answer.
Saying that, young necromancer opened his bag and made some quick preparations. Thirty minits
later, he was looking into dead-but-alive eyes of the now-not-so-dead raven.

"Take this letter to my mom, servant", he said to undead raven, giving it a letter.
"She must be pleased by my successful finishing of Academy and necroscholar's tittle".

Raven gnashed something evil and departed into the dark sky, dropping rotting feathers on the ground.

Gift to his 13-th birtday
Added Sun Jun 26 11:27:30 2011 at level 17:

He was standing in a crypt. Kassandra, his mother, was standing behind him. He felt her presence.
Before them, massive human was lying on a grey stone floor. His hands and feet were pinned with a
black iron nails. He was absolutely naked. Around him, circle of burning candles were set, burning
unnatural blue flame. Man's eyes were wide opened, but he remained silent, silenced by the narcotic
smoke of the candles.

"It's time, son" Kassandra said, giving him a sharp, onlyx blade.
He took the ritual dagger and stepped toward their prey. Nor fear, nor disgust, nor joyfulness refleced
on his face. Only pure scientic curiosity: he never killed anyone himself yet. Never released soul,
never sent it to the Abyss himself. Now, it was his time. Time to become a true adept of the Art.

"Wait!" Said the man suddenly. "Before you murder me, tell me your name!"
"My name?" Tzaritzawah asked. "Why do you want to know my name, oh dead one?"
"When I meet my demons, I'll tell them who sent me. Tell me your name, so I'll have my chance for revenge!"
"Wait, don't..." Kassandra said, but Tzaritzawah interrupted her. "I respect will of the dead," He said.
"My name it Tzaritzawah, but my family has no name. I proclaim myself Tenebraus, and your blood will be
ink, with which I'll sign this deal! Yes, go to Abyss and tell them - Tzaritzawah Tenebraus sent you!"

Proclaiming this, he lowered his onyx blade, opening chest of the men. Deafening cry ringed within
the crypt as blood erupted from the wound. Flame of the candles turned into a bloody red when he took
still beating heart from the still-alive corpse.

"I like your choice," Kassandra said. "But you should be more careful, even - or especially - with deads."
"I will, mom." Young adept-necromancer answered. "Let's put this heart to the jar."

Son of the Udgaardian witch
Added Sat Jun 25 07:04:20 2011 at level 9:

Kassandra, also known as a Black Bitch, was living in a secret tower near Udgaard.
From all her jobs, serving her customers as a prostitute-witch was most profitable (and entertaining).
Usually, her witchery kept her from getting pregned, but for strange reason, not this time.
She recalled that horrible man. He was thin, frail and powerful. That time, she screamed for real,
not as always. And now, her magic warned her: don't even think about it, or your future will be
miserable and painful. She was pondering on the runes and conjectural elven bones, tyring to foresee
the dark future. But each time she used her mystic powers on this topic, she failed. Future of her
own child was locked from her piercing gaze.

After long nine months, her son left out his first cry, and bird fell down on the ground, dead.
It was a good omen for a newborn monster. She looked at him and smiled: at last, Darkness rewarded her
for years pure devotion. Black pentagramm on his forehead, well seen when he just appeared from her womb,
slowly disappeared deep under his pale skin, and his black eyes filled with it's inhuman power.

Soon, he will make his first step - and his first kill, first ritual and first sacrifice.
