Chapter 5

The Isle continues to thrive and blossom under the watch of Puhguly and Gdot.
New Seekers continue to come, and sadly some continue to leave. Despite the
blur of some faces through the flying rock, the tasks remain the same.
Perhaps for his constant presence and persistance to the Balance, Forgestoke
has been granted more gifts from the divine of the Isle.

Inspite of his new blessings and growing reputation, he still feels quite
humble about his work. He will constantly be striving to hold his post as
Rhyme, and being the finest Seeker he can. If he were to let his ego begin to
guide him, then the Ugliest Mug and Pug of the Island knows that he would be
starting to fail his men.

Chapter 4

As time has passed with Puhguly helping to lead the Isle, the number of
seekers grew. It grew almost too rapidly as many recruits lost the will to
continue, or lost interest in their tasks. Distracted often by the
responsibilites as the Rhyme, Puhguly had sidetracked some of his original
goals and aspirations for the greater good of the Isle.

Almost forgotten had been the ambition of meeting with the Lord Twist for an
audiance about magics and the dwarfkin. That is, until Twist himself came to
Puhguly to bestowe upon him a gift. With a blessing of Twist on his soul, it
renewed the passion within Forgestoke to better himself and helped remind him
of his purpose in Thera.

Chapter 3

The more he grew, the more that Puhguly realized the complexity of learning
to bend magic seemed ever more imposing. Still, the desire was there, rooted
deep in a corner of his heart. More important however was the defending of
magic, and magi alike. The war has become bloodier more difficult then even
the youth. Each time he found a new ally in the war, there were three new
barbarians trying to cut them down. There is little room for rest in the
bloody days.

Shortly after his arrival in the Isle of the Seekers, Forgestoke was voted to
become the new Rhyme of Resistance. He has taken great pride in the title he
wears, though feels afraid of disappointing those who appointed him. It is a
difficult line he dances between inspiriation and failure for his army.
Asking only their best from his soldiers, he believes that they will in turn
ask the same of him. Only time will tell if he has been a boon or a burden to
the Balance.

Chapter 2

As the young dwarf set forth on his quests to find out what he could of the
God of Magic, and magic in general, he also learned of the ones who sought
the destruction of magic. It seemed that their single minded task was to
utterly remove magic from the hands of mortal man. Needless to say, that was
rather contradictory to what Puhguly was seeking. So a new, secondary task
was to be undertaken: the defense of magic and magi alike. It would be a
bloody task, but a worthwhile one if he was to ever learn to bend energy.

Having been fortunate enough to travel with a few different shapeshifters and
a single conjurer, Forgestoke has started to develop a slight understanding
of magic. It was possible for it to both alter physical form and create an
image of your spirit. Perhaps the ability to bend and shape energy fell
somewhere inbetween those two ideals. Energy is but an idea, similar to the
soul of a man, that is until it is projected by the mind into a material
thing. The studies and theories will continue, and hopefully more progress
will be made soon.

Chapter 1

Dwarves are masters of crafting. Anything made from wood, stone, steel, or
even hide is made best by dwarven hands. Even baking breads, curing meats and
especially brewing there is nothing that a dwarf cannot do better. The
exception to this rule is things made of pure magical energy. That is only
because at this point dwarves have not quite figured out how to manipulate
that material. At least not yet. Puhguly Forgestoke has opted to set forth
into the world to study magic and learn the art of shaping even energy so
that dwarves can indeed be the master of that as well.

The first born son of a brewer and weaponsmith, crafting was in his blood. He
was stoking the flames for forge and ale vat alike before he could walk.
Shaping metals and whittling wood were second nature to him. The one
fascination has always been magic, and things of magical nature. Perhaps it
was the inability to manipulate it, or perhaps it was the fact that it was
not commonplace in his home. Either way, Puhguly knew that he wanted to learn
all he could of it.

The days of his youth were spent doing three things: working the forge,
creating (and drinking) ale and studying the lore of Thera. His body grew
strong from the forge. His mind grew sharp from the studies. His stomach grew
round from the ale. The only break in the cycle came after the death of his
parents. Age had taken them to their final rest. After that, the wide world
of Thera was opened for young Forgestoke.
