Chapter 3

The last days of my life have been absolute insanity. I haven't been myself.
Such anger is inside of me from my battles with the village, and what seems
to not be much respect from those within our walls towards me. I am not one
of them, but I have been one of the original Scions. I protect them
and get no respect in return, because I do not do spells, nor mumble words
that cause my skin to change, and claws to grow from my fingertips. I fight with
my daggers, and that doesn't seem to get much respect within these walls.
I accepted this fact when I was younger, but I am much older now, and feel I am owed something.
I am owed some sort of respect from an Advisor who has not been with us for
as long as I have. I am owed respect from an Advisor that allows weak mages
to join his ranks. I deserve respect for spending my entire life within these walls.
I will get respect, or I will take it from whatever I wish, even those within these walls.

Chapter 2

Those years behind bars went to slow for my taste. After that initial night
things kind of calmed down with me. I was left alone by all except those
who looked like me. They welcomed me with open arms. I dont know
if they were scared of me or not, but they seemed to wish me by their side.
I decided to sit with them while we ate, and stand next to them while in the yard.
That was pretty much the only thing I did with them. I did not engage in
any battles with them, nor do anything they wished. They knew I was my own man.

I was on my own for many years, until I came across a group of mages who knew
my name from whatever way they did. It was just told to them that I was worthy
as a warrior to help them focus on their goals. I was pretty interested so I listened
to the one they called, Chancellor. He gave me a few quests to do, and find out things
on my own about their cause. Finding out things about the Ruins, and then Azuremain.
He seemed not to like me, but he knew I was capable of much just by my attitude.
He let me into the most elite group of mages ever to walk the earth. These mages
were Scholars in my eyes, and I came to become one of them. One of the Scions.
He gave me a job, and told me what I would be to him. I would be his little Silj.
His little animal that bites everything it comes in contact with. It has grown
on me these last couple of years. I have devoted my life to helping these scholars
fulfill their goals, and bringing fourth the Eternal Night. I have seen
a small aspect of the power they wish to bring through the portals, and that kind of
power is something I wish to see more of. I am no mage, but I do have the ability
to call upon a creature to follow me and kill anything I kill. I have been granted
this power by the Chancellor, but I wish to know what other power he can give me.
I may not be a mage, or a scholar as he puts it, but if I have to bite every creature
I come in contact with one hundred times to receive more power from him, I will.
I will destroy everything in my way to receive that power. I have had a taste of it
but now I wish more. I dont use my words to kill others, I use my knives.
But, if I have to learn words or spells to open the portals up to get my own power
that the Chancellor does not offer me, then I will do that. I will use
him to fulfill the prophecy, and get me the power that I deserve.

Chapter 1

It has been many years now since I got out on good behavior.
But, my years behind bars in the old settlement has taught me alot.
I was put in there when I was 12 years old, and didn't get to leave
until I was 20. Being in there was frightening at the start but
once you understand the code, then all other things happen for a reason
and everyone abides by this code, or has to atleast, or you die.
I learned alot in those years. I learned that you have to stay with your own.
That is just known. YOu have to stay with the others who look like
you, because it's a fight for your race. All stick together. I learned
that on my first night. That was the toughest. Sitting there in my cell
that wasn't much bigger than I was, and that was just so I wouldn't move.
I was considered dangerous, so was confined to a very small area.

Word got out very quickly that I was considered dangerous, and confined
like I was, so I had my first challenge the next morning while in the yard.
I was screamed at by the guard to go to the yard, and get my exercise.
As I walked out there I was immediatly jumped by one ugly creature
and started to punch me. I was shell shocked by how fast this was happening.
I covered up as best I could, and could notice I was being watched by others.
I was being watched by the guards as they looked at each other while
laughing. It's like they were betting on if I'd survive. I also noticed
the humans looking at the fight in a group of four, not saying a word.
Everything moves in slow motion when I am in a fight, or being attacked.
The little dwarf looking creature pulled out a sharp object and tried to stab
me with it. I blocked his stab, and jerked the knife out of his hands. We
continued to struggle as I picked up the knife and jammed it into his eye.
There was blood gushing all over me, or I assume it was blood, because it was black.
I just let him bleed over me as I noticed the guards facial expressions
changed to a more serious look, and they sounded a horn, and all hit the deck.
I didn't move at all, but by the time I got up, I needed more clothes, because
my white scrubs I was wearing we now a dark black color with all the blood.
