Yitzua Norre-athem the Weaver of the Elements

Chapter 10

One again your eyes fall upon Yitzua. With the passage of time her control of magic and
her understanding of the world has grown. Fighting the darkness has been a constant
battle, but it has not tarnished her soul. She still shines as brightly as ever.

You do notice that she has begun to change in other ways. Subtle and almost unseen, her
body is synthesizing with the elements she controls. Her eyes sparkle not just with life,
but you see tiny sparks of electricity jumping back and forth in her pupils. This must be
one of the effects that the powers of the elements have upon her. She becomes more
an elemental and less an elf.

With this becoming, her demeanor becomes more stoic and less emotional. She speaks
boldly and to the point. She finds herself called to master the rest of her spells and less
time fighting with the fortress for now. She knows that once she has reached the
pinnacle of her power, and mastered the elements she will be one of the strongest
forces for the light.

As her father told her when she was young, so too the elements subconsciously tell her
now, You are not yet ready; you must reach your potential before you walk that path.

She must become a Hero and a master of the weaves. Once these goals are reached, she
will march into darkness and strike.

Chapter 9

Truhukk and his path to redemption bothered Yitzua for a time; she spent much time in
thought over it. Finally, she pointed the orc to the temples, and told him if he truly
sought redemption it was time he put himself above the thoughts of mortal men and
focused solely on his soul. It would be too easy for him to get enthralled in an orcish
bloodlust as he tried to fight alongside the fortress. Like the Marans must constantly
make sure they do not become the monsters they fight, so too must Truhukk keep
himself from regressing into his instinctual ways.

Yet, even after much lecture, followed by berating and scolding, the orc wanders time
and time again back to the fortress, instead of spending his time in meditation and giving
supplications towards redemption. Yitzua looks upon him as an addicted who cannot get
past the withdrawals of violence, so she strikes the orc down and point hims in the
direction of the temple if ever she sees him, for a firm hand is what is required to keep
the stupid orc from his addiction. This internally pains her because she knows that by
striking him down and sending him back to the temple, which little bit of violence, is a
taste of what he is craving for. She sees no other way. He will either redeem himself at
the temple or be redeemed once his mortal shell can no longer sustain his soul.

Chapter 8

Your vision focuses on Yitzua as she is working to cast her shields upon others. As the weaves
of elements extend from her, they fold back and envelope her. No matter how many shield or
methods she derives to focus her shields upon others, the elements choose to shield only her.
What she doesnt know is that she was chosen for these powers alone.

The elements planes notice the great evil that grows on the primal plane, the negative plane
sends tendrils of evil out from the primal plane in trying to touch and corrupt their existence.

In order to prevent this and bring back balance, they have chosen an elf whose soul is strong
and ancient. Her heart was pure and driven. All of the planes endowed her with the powers of
the elements. The lightning plane who closely aligns themselves to the plane of light gave her
extraordinary strength and talent. The planes of ice, fire, water and air gave enough strength
that they felt would balance the world. The planes of earth and ooze, which did not see the
weak body of elves as a reliable vessel They though a dwarf would be better suited, gave
sparingly to Yitzua.

Yitzuas powers grow and manifest inside her. With each spell mastered she becomes more
and more attached and attuned to the elemental planes. She sees the elements that exist
everywhere and in everything on the primal plane.

What will happen to her when she masters the elemental planes?

Chapter 7

Your vision focus again focuses on the lovely Yitzua Norre-athem. She walks strongly now, as
elemental shields crackle, shimmer, and burn around her. Beside her are illuminated people.
You cannot make out who exactly they are because they are so brilliantly illuminated.
What you can tell is that they are of different races, Dwarf, Arial, Human, Storm Giant, Elf, Felar
and Half races. She is not alone any longer and she happily travels with them. These shining
beacons of goodness and light wage war with her against the evil and the darkness they bring.

Light has sent her not only a sign, but also a fortress of soldier to fight with her.

Chapter 6

Your vision falls upon the elf Yitzua again, she feverishly works to master her
abilities with magic, the location blurs constantly to different locations, one
second she fights the evils of the forest of nowhere - as an unseen ranger stalk
her, then she fights the zombies below arkham - an Imperial hunts her in the
shadows, she studies in Khardrath's Sanctum - an black lady charges into her
studies ready to bash her head in. Everywhere she turns the sheer weight of evil
constantly looms over her.

She trudges her road alone, a few beacons of light have passed her like a ships
passing in the night. They barely notice her, or are too pressed with their own
course to help another navigate a straight course.

Panning far back from her you see an oozing darkness all around her. A sea of
evil souls slowly surrounds her, preparing to extinguish all the light from her
soul. Every attack upon her slices at her soul, taking it away piece by piece and
you can feel its agonizing pain. The depths it strikes at her pure soul, erodes
her wishes for a brighter future. Snuffing out the idea of possibility snuffing
out hope.

Her cause to bring light into the world and help destroy the darkness is her true
path, and an honest one. When will aid come her way she wonders?

Light send her a sign!

Chapter 5

Your visions of these events fade but you are left with an understanding of the
soul that is Yitzua Norre-athem. She is a driven and passionate elven woman whose
passions are honest and worthy.

Magic has been part of her life since the beginning and she will use her knowledge
of magic and herself to learn everything there is to know that will assure she is
read to defeat the darkness that is enveloping the world with its ever creeping
shadow.

She has a general understanding of the gods. Seeing them as being who have
transcended the mortal world to immortality. This ascension did not make them
perfect, and she does not ask them to be. She does however expect them to mentor
the world and help prevent the atrocities that plagued the world before.

The question you are left with is this: Will her soul stand up to the darkness
that grows with every breath?

Chapter 4

Your vision returns to you as Yitzua walks down Shepard's row. Time has passed
since that day in her father's study and she is now prepared to face the world as
best as she is able. She has matured into a beautiful elven woman, with a strong
mind and a great heart.

On the horizon, lay the Voralian City, home to a vast history of magic, culture,
and knowledge. Home also to the ivory tower, where she continues her studies of
magic. Inside the ivory tower sits her dormitory and inside this simple existence
is her simple wooden desk where she spends countless hours reading and studying.
Many books are stacked along the back of the desk of varying subjects and
degrees. Currently sitting open on her desk is a compendium of Khardrath's
Theories on Magic. Much of the text is highlighted, scratched out or has had
notes written in the margin.

Your vision fades with the feeling that this elven woman will master magic.

Chapter 3

When your vision returns you see Yitzua a little over a century in age, blossomed
into a beauty of legend. Few can match her grace, charm and beauty, and even
fewer can surpass it.

She stands patiently in front of a desk finely crafted of the best sung-wood. On
the other side an elf sits, matching her gaze, judging and weighing. The tension
between them is heavily.

Finally the elf sitting in front of Yitzua spoke, "The answer is Not yet. Your
education is as of yet incomplete. Darkness is growing in the world and I would
not send you out of these woods unready."

"But I am ready father," she pleaded. "I need to go out and help the world and
help others to be beacons of light to drive this growing darkness away."

Corfera Norre-anthem sighed, and spoke softly, "I understand your desire is great,
but you yet need to learn more of yourself. Master yourself and then you will be
ready to walk the world and learn of the darkness. It is stronger than you can
imagine and I would sooner die then send you out unprepared.

Yitzua's lower lip trembled as she listened to her father's words. She knew his
words were true. She was not ready. She bowed her head, and said "Yes
father..." Her voice failed her. She then turned and left his presence.

Corfera followed her exit with only his eyes, and as her last trace left the room
a tear rolled down his cheek. A tear for the pride he has for his daughter, and
her passion, but also a tear for the sadness that he knew her future would hold,
and the weight of the mantle she was to take upon herself.

Your vision again fades into darkness and you are left with the emotions that so
heavily enveloped those two elves.

Chapter 2

When your vision returns to you, you see the same precious girl - 50 years
older - sitting at a massive sung-oak round table. Adolescent elves are gathered
around the table listening to a lecture from an elderly elf whose colors have long
since faded to a pure white.

The elder's long thin arm raises and points with his long fingers that come
out of his robe by a few inches. It is obvious that he is pointing to Yitzua.

"Yitzua Norre-athem, explain the theory of knowledge as our ancestor
Chatyrn'Norre-rretyn spoke in his book on martial arts," request the elder.

Yitzua rose from her seat and recited verbatim from memorized text, "If you
know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result confrontation. If
you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer
a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every
confrontation."

As she began to sit down the elder spoke, "Those are the words exactly, but
what does this mean?"

Yitzua stopped sitting down and stood once more, saying "In order to defeat
your enemy you must know both all of his strengths and weakness as well as your
own. In that way you can maneuver your enemy into a position where you can defeat
him. If you do not know your enemy, your outcome will be uncertain, because you
do not know what he will do or how he will react. If you know neither yourself
nor your enemy you will always be defeated. This is because you know neither what
you are capable of or not capable of nor do you know that of your enemy."

"Excellent comprehension, Yitzua'Oussea-athem," the elder praised. "Now young
pupils, I ask, if you know both your enemy and yourself perfectly will you defeat
your enemy?"

The adolescent elves look around amongst each other, many glances went to
Yitzua assuming she would know the answer, but she did not give rise to answer.
Did she know?

When no one took the leave to answer, the elder spoke, "No No, you cannot
defeat your enemy unless they give you the opportunity to defeat them. "

He paused for a moment before he explained, "For example, you know that your
enemy is vulnerable to his flanks and can be struck with light cavalry. Yet he
has protected his flanks by fighting in a ravine where you cannot reach them.
Your enemy must expose the opportunity. While you wait for this opportunity, you
must make yourself beyond possibility of defeat"

Your vision fades from the lecture into darkness once more - she is very
intelligent.

Chapter 1

You vision blurs and your eyes set upon a dozen elven children of less than 20
years. They are playing a very rambunctious game of tag, running away from a
precious little elven girl with raven black hair. One elven child giggles
playfully as he bounds off a tree, missing the precious girls touch by a hair.
She quickly mimics the same action but changes angles and goes after another elven
boy with wavy blond hair, and his open smile - which drops as soon as he realizes
that raven haired girl was no longer after the other child. He lets out a playful
yelp as he throws himself the ground so as to miss the raven haired girl's touch.
As the little boy rolls over to scramble away the girl pounces on him landing just
behind him with both hands square on his shoulders.

Every hair on the little boy's body stands up as the girls hands clamp down
on the boy. Static electricity visually builds up in boy and as the little girl
releases her hold the static electricity leaves him without any trace of notice.

"I have you Daelas Auvrea-tylar," the little girl cried out with pleasure!

"Okay, I'm the Orc now. Yitzua Norre-athem caught me," called out the boy to
the other children!

Your vision fades from the games of children to blackness - that girl is
special in some way.
