Kruden Radag the Grand Master of Shapeshifting
DescriptionThe hair of this slender fellow before you, is of the deepest and sharpest silver with long pitch-black stripes along his temples, seems to flow atop his head. Standing with a shifting counterpoise stance roughly six feet tall and displaying a complexion that is between a deep oceanic hue and olive-grey, help to give both an abrupt and uneasy contrast to his silver and black locks. High andric cheek bones and a sharp, arching brow present a inglorious accent to a lackluster pair of shifting hazel eyes and sizable canine teeth. Drab, simple robes cover most all of his slim frame. Each piece of clothing seems to be methodically chosen and placed, as to not inhibit movement. Emanating from the worn pack he carries, are several small shafts and a horridly grotesque, pungent odor. One final glance seems to tell that....

RoleChapter 4 The Prodigious Path Added Wed Jun 16 12:22:46 2010 at level 33:. Arisen deep within the desert city of Hamsah Mu'tazz lies its' beating heart, the works of many great scholars. Twas here, during my studies, that I learned to remain more composed while in my somatic form, and to evoke the true bestial rage while within my zoological state. I came to understand matters of Will, Corruption, Power, in all its forms, and many other intriguing ideals of the mind. With each scrap of knowledge I gained, my desire rose, each delectable morsel did nothing to quell my appetite for further knowledge or power. After many months roaming those hallowed halls, while journeying to the well, I came across a man, No? More than a Man.
. Like rolling thunder a clamor arose, dust and sand stinging my eyes as the massive horde passed. Saphael, necromancer by trade and follower of the dark lord Zurcon, strode by under deep robes of pitch. A massive nightwalker moved effortlessly, it's fierce battle prowess clear as it took the lead for his destructive undead minions. Facing enemy after enemy I pondered, for what strength this was that allowed this mortal the control of otherworldly beasts such as they. To my query he replied, the Scions of Eternal Night will be your calling if you truly have the desire for this knowledge and power. My search ended shortly after it began, just a stones throw toward the southern mountains, hidden within a dark chasm, the lair of the Scions I found. Although the daunting task I had undertaken after I had pledged my loyalty through the Nightwalker was vast, the true realization of it did not come until somewhat later.
. A debilitating chill ran through my spine, sending jolts of nervous energy throughout my synapse violently telling my body to hold back it's excitement. The Bloody Scholar as she was known, Charine, serves the Scions as it's Chancellor and is a truly remarkable example of the power of dark magic. I was proud to stand before her when I herd the call and enjoyed our conversation in keeping with great knowledge that I gained from it. Speaking of great beasts unimaginable such as the ancient dragons, or the Demi-Lich of Trothon were like everyday adventures, where as my last encounter nearing the minions of Tiamat nearly broke my composure. Twas then that she posed a task upon me, to glen some great knowledge of a place little known, some secret that I may attain, if only to prove my worth.

RoleChapter 3 The World beyond Hyjal. Added Sat Jun 12 22:09:57 2010 at level 18:. The scorching flames licked my exposed skin in a frenzy, and I did my absolute best to take shelter beyond the newly charred corpse. I kicked and squirmed, placing all of my available strength into busting through the rotting planks which formed the outer cabin wall to my aft. Heaving with all my available might I dragged the sizzling carcass through the thawed excrement of our household, silently toward the depths of the well. All the while the roaring crowd, shouting jeers, and cheers toward the cabin they had set ablaze. With a resounding splash that reached only my ears, under the raucous laughter and disheartening cries of the townsfolk, the corpse and all the new festering excrement it acquired, found its' new home.
. In the following days and weeks I watched like a vulture, deep within in the shadows, circling the well and eyeing all whom partook in its' hidden disease. As time passed and the stench began to emanate, the look of awe and disbelief muddled the somber faces, they couldn't believe that it was too late for them to react. Piercing howls and curses erupted throughout the night, both damnation and prayers alike had their place. With the population of the town decimated and under the cover of night, I made my way down the mountain toward what I hoped was a new civilization. I arrived in a portly desert city, just as the sun was at its' peak, and my mouth parched as the sandy trails before it. This city would become my new home, Hamsah Mu'tazz. In this city discoveries would be made that changed my life.
. Dwelling within the annals of the Hamsah library I would find all sorts knowledge. Bits and pieces from many different civilizations. Deep inside those halls I learned of my dark-elven blood ties and recognized how to judge their traits. Also during these long days, and distant nights, I would ponder deeply the words of Hyjal, as they cried out "Animal." It was then that I knew that the study of shapeshifting was for me and I adopted the surname "Radag," which translated from elven to "Beast" as I didn't wish to disappoint. As I began to glean all the information and power I could from the local guild, I came in contact with a great necromancer. Before him stood a beast of unspeakable distruction, leading his army of undead, a Nightwalker. It was then that I sought out the source of his power, discovering the Scions and once I understood their whereabouts, I pledged my existence to them.

RoleChapter 2 Let loose the Animal. Added Fri Jun 11 18:26:57 2010 at level 14:. What it means to be alone is lost on so many individuals as the concept simply escapes their feeble minds. Flenda was no friend to loneliness, oh how she abhorred it as if a holy man to a sinner. That night so many years ago, she would not be alone, she would know warmth, and the soft touch of a strangers skin would excite and thrill her, at least, for the night. A great many moons later I was born, never to have known my father, only a lingering resentment of my mother flowed, much as cheep whiskey. As the years passed I would grow, always feeling somewhat out of place, never quite the same as the other villagers children. I detested their commonness.
. The cruel, uncaring children and their parents, alike, gazed down upon me, as if they were above me in stature and ability. Flenda did nothing to defend me as she did not possess a great deal of wealth, nor did she have stature, and caring for her child left along with the man who shared her bed and left with her heart. Each and every though which encircled me were of a negative and sinister nature, and that was fine. I lived with a mother whom didn't care for me, a town that detested me, and the knowledge of a father who abandon me, but a great deal of changes were in the works as a frigid and intense winter snowstorm blew into town.
. The cold north wind blew devilishly, it howled against our small cabin as if it were a mongrel begging for table scraps or a timber wolf for the moon. For days the snow fell, drifting and piling faster than a dwarven sapper brigade moves earth. On the morn of the twelfth day I awoke, groggy and starving. My body grew weak, only my mind bayed me continue, self preservation at all costs were my deepest thoughts. That day I wandered through the cabin searching for most minuscule scrap of food only to find Flenda, frozen in her bed. My survival instincts were in full swing when I began to fillet her stiff flesh, consuming each bite slowly. It was around this time that a rapping came upon the door and it swiftly caved. Standing in its open arch were several townsfolk, awestruck at a child consuming his mother. "Animal" they screamed as they tossed their lighted torches inside. My eventual escape was again due to Flenda as I covered myself with her frozen body and as I left the village I dumped her charred remains into the town well. I had attained my revenge with their sickness and deaths.

RoleChapter 1 Conception in a Frigid Village. Added Fri Jun 11 12:20:34 2010 at level 11:. Deep within the southern mountains of the western continent of Thera lies the small and quaint village of Hyjal. It's origins are virtually unknown, as not a soul could understand the reasoning to form a village at that lonesome location. The village is surrounded by a multitude of small, semi-frozen, lochs and a dense forest of giant oak by two sides. It's commercial and physical survival relies on the many traveling merchant caravans who brave the northern slopes and icy mountain trails. Until this very day, the village bustles with new commerce and trade but it wasn't so long ago that it suffered an incredibly horrendous injustice that will forever leave a disgusting stain on the souls of its inhabitants.
. The day of the traveler began as any other. A cool refreshing breeze blew across the lochs, birds and wildlife rustled through the trees, the low clang of cow bells arose occasionally, and a quiet rumble of wagon wheels encroached, ever so softly, toward the town. Before the cryer even called the life blood was beginning to pump, and the heart of the town was coming back to life. Shutters flew open, doors creaked and moaned as frost-bitten hinges awoke from their nightly slumber, each ushering in the word, that the town was now open for business. All the townsfolk were well prepared for the arrival of the caravan but this was only a lone peddler, preaching of tomes and spreading the word of magic. The towns enthusiasm swiftly faded till only a few more of the more auspicious merchants remained, among them was a young, lithe human woman named Flenda.
. As the hours past and the flickering lamps began to fade, shutters battened, and soft rumbles of doors locking each sign further heralded the coming nightfall. The merchants dwindled until only two remained, Flenda and the traveler. To her, the time had come and soon she would head to her home, and comfy down-filled mattress, although this night she would not be alone. Whether was by grace of tongue, or slight of a magic weaving, she was infatuated with the handsome traveler. The nights were ever so cold these days she thought, and tonight she would not be alone. This chilly winter night was the day I was conceived, and nearly the origin of the end for the small mountain village of Hyjal.
