After proving himself to homard and the commander, zasohebi was given a chance and told by the commander he was on a short lease.
He had thought he knew what a real battle meant, he felt he was already honed quite well, how wrong he was.
The hordes of imperials came and went, like roaches surrounding rotten fruit. Many wanted Zasohebi's head on a stick, stooping to use two, three, four, five to attempt to kill and kill him.
Zasohebi was in shock, and he felt like a child once more when he realised how little he knew.

He learned to think like a mage, to stick and move. When to call the blood rage. He was very sucessful against mages. Hiromae, ckath, zubei was another story.
Hiromae utterly kicked zasohebi around like a ball in the beginning, it took a great deal of pain and suffering until zasohebi could defeat him.
Ckath seemed unbeatable the times he battled him.
Zubei, the felar who demoralized his enemy by ritually destroying all the opponent wore.
A crowning momenet in zasohebi's life was when he escaped death from an imperial horde at the destructor, managed to run to the past, did two circles around the elves and back to the forest of nowhere.
On the way out he struck hanord in the head, zubei came and cut his artery. Zasohebi was badly hurting. An invoker was seen, the invoker fell, zubei returned and he fell shortly after.

Days begin to pass, months, years.
Blood, skulls, pain, suffering. Age catching up and the body giving out slowly.

Memories of an old enemy intrude into his mind, and gives him more focus.
Jindicho, even now when the gods protect him from zasohebi, he believes he could destroy him. The rage, anger and focus is great now.
Zasohebi's focus is greater than all in his life, but his body has suffered much, many times he wishes he knew then what he knows now.

Many he grew with have died, or been kicked out of the village. Recently the closest to a friend he ever had, homard. The drillmaster.
He knows soon he will see him again, and hopefully he walked and did the best he knew how, when he becomes judged in the final breath.
