Chapter 2

He entered the gates of Galadon to assist the first day of his training
inside the academy. On his way here, he met different kind of people. Short
ones, tall ones, different type of skins, fur or wings...his village was
simply made of humans so he understands now how much odd it felt to be
attacked by people whom he thought was hounds of hell...to be simply common
people like anyone else. The class to attend was a harsh decision
to his father, he should become a fine warrior. His father though is now
dead, he realizes that this path wasnt a successful one and to have revenge,
he must choose wisely.

He met a strong fellow inside the halls of the academy who looked quite
strong and agile, fighting bare handed.

- Sir, is this the warrior class?

The man slowed his movements and shook his head. This was the Assassin class.


- Assassin you say?

This is an art of tactics, brain, strength and dexterity, something far more
appealing to him. And he entered the dungeon, prepared to face the beasts,
armed of a dagger and the skills engraved in his mind from his father and
from his new sensei, ready to grow stronger, smarter and to finally achieve
his dear goal...revenge.

As he walked into the streets, a black-garbed man came to him and said: Join
the Empire and you will gain more strength!

- Strength you say...?

And they talked for hours...

Chapter 1

Proud warriors, skilled fighters, the Zeer Clan is a secluded and quiet group
livid as nomads in the northern plains of Udgaard. Guided by seers and
arcanes, they were living quietly awaiting the prophecy which announced a
great war in the coming years. The said war never happened though everyone
waited that day with fear. This is why they were known to be strong soldiers
who would train day and night to achieve perfection. The leader of the Clan,
Nafrateus, was harsh on his men as he felt deep inside him that the day would
come soon. The Arcane and the Seers felt that the constellations were
announcing a bad omen coming into this village.

One of the Elite of the village, Tanataeus, taught everything he knew to his
sons: Ovineas and Linelus. Meanwhile, his wife, child of a seer, kept the
house clean and warm, always worrying that her husband would be too demanding
on them. Ovineas was the dark sheep of the family as he would be stubborn and
would defy his father from time to time as he felt his teachings was wrong.
Tanataeus was known as a fierce berserker as he would use huge weaponry to
crush his opponents. His pride was to see his sons grow big and strong.
Ovineas was a bit more slender, preaching that speed and brain would win
against strength anytime.

Then one day, war broke out...or so they thought.

A mistake they said, as the battleragers came into their village slaughtering
seers, arcanes and villagers. A tough battle it was but the casualty was too
severe. Most died, the rest either ran away before the battle started or gave
away their friends and family to simply survive. A hunt that Ovineas will
never forget...the humiliation of his Clan who stood no chance against those
barbarians when he was able to deftly protect himself and allow himself to
stay alive.

He watched from the trees the troops gathering the wounded and the rest of
the villagers in search for more foes. He saw his brother, Linelus, who
stayed silent, proudly, before the invaders. He was stabbed to death by a
frenzied warrior who lusted for blood.

Mage scums! Come out to die!

That is what he would say as blood was dripping of his weapon and the body of
his brother fell heavily on the ground. He stood there until they left,
without a word and without a single emotion other than rage, paralyzing his
entire body.

The moon was half-full...and red.
