Mreash Bloodfang the Dweller of the Wilds, Harbinger of Thar-Eris

Chapter 5

Mreash is from a subset of felars that live near the felar
encampment, but not in it. They think the felars in the encampment
are becoming too much like the men that created felars. Mreash
went through a coming of age ceremony after living outside with
no food or weapons for three days, then bringing down an adult
caribou with only fang and claw. His village is a very communal
type of organization, and they don't really do much in the way
of family, so Mreash doesn't know who his parents are and doesn't
really care. Felars that come of age are given a choice to stay
with the community or to strike out on their own, though once
you leave, you can't come back. Mreash elected to leave and
see what the world is like. He has no definite plans as far
as joining a cabal or who his friends will be. He will just let
his experiences guide his actions, and live life to the fullest.

Role

Chapter 4

Mreash has visited many parts of Thera, and still prefers to
prowl alone. His views have been influenced by a few choice
interactions though. He travelled with a duergar thief who
constantly put him in mortal danger, and later turned on Mreash
though the thief did pay for his treachery. Also, several conjurers
pursued Mreash throughout the world, even trying to break into
his guild in the emerald forest. This resulted in them dying,
but it still soured Mreash to these guilds, and duergars in
general. His thought process is not complicated, so he now
associates duergars, thieves, and conjurers with danger. He
met some outlanders, and it seemed like their beliefs were very
similar to those Mreash already holds. He likes how outlanders
operate outside the norm of the world like the village he called
home early in life. The tribunals also remind him of the felar
encampment, trying to infect everyone with civilization, making
them weak despondent and useless. Wild and free creates strong
generations of cubs, civilization creates useless creatures with
a sense of entitlement and false superiority. Apparently if you
piss in a bowl instead of on a tree you are a superior being they
think.

Role

Chapter 3

Mreash has of course been taking the fight to the slavers of the
world, and with some success. He has added some enemies to the
list of people he feels should be attacked, undermined, and eliminated.
The nexus were not on his radar for some time, until one day one
of them attacked him for no apparent reason. They were not successful
but Mreash feels that an unknown threat is almost a greater threat
than the slavers. He won't go for outright war, but he has experienced
good success by acting as a spy for the village and fort. Defilers
of the fort and village are still to be killed, but he still enjoys
betraying the nexus to them.

He has also been contemplating the meaning of being an outlander,
and the connection to the totems about the land. The ancients left
these as a way to communicate to the outlanders. Some are more
obvious than others. The predator and poison totems are fairly
straight forward, but totems of the wind, sun, and moon are more
difficult to figure out. His first totem he wishes to contemplate
is the one most attuned to him, the totem of the winds.

Chapter 2

Mreash has killed over and over in the name of the tree, and has
risen to an honored rank in his former village. He was allowed
to return to his birth place and go through the "ritual of Mre'Tok"
This is a special rite reserved only for the truly ferocious warriors
He is anointed in the blood of an elder Mre'Tok warrior, and he
presents them with the ears of all his victims.
They are burned on the central fire symbolically destroying all
those that would oppose the tribe and the Mre'Tok. It is ended
with giving the chosen one the last name Bloodfang, and the ritual
words. "I am what you fear in the dark, I am the spirit in the
wild, I am the reason you fear the night, I am death..."
and Mreash added "I am the Harbinger of these things and more"

The scene fades to black with the tribe erupting in hissing, purring
and shouting into the night.

Role

Chapter 1

Mreash has always considered him the alpha felar of the tree.
The falling away of the other two leaders have only intensified
this, and him being asked to watch over the other limbs exacerbated
the situation further. He doesn't think that another reaver and warden
are not necessary. However he has come to believe that when these
trivial symbolic seats are not filled, the true leader of the pack
takes his rightful place at the head of the pack. He understands
that people like to see a leader "like them" at their head, but he
knows who really leads the hunt. Animals are neither good nor evil
so the Harbinger way is the true path, and he feels he is by far the
most ferocious and tenacious part of the tree.
