Chapter 3

They were surrounded.

All around him dozens of men lunged with great spears, attemptinga
to break the flesh of their bluish tinged skin, for a brewed
concoction laced the tip, and with only a drop would render the
victim unconscious.

With his brother Arathmor at his back, they frantically swatted
off lunge after lunge. Uncertainly gripped them as they were
unknowning as to the reason this band of men had pounced upon
them.

With slash after slash, Thiumir parried the onslaught of spears
that lunged at him, and with his massive sword he returned his
attack, striking forth into the neck of the nearest bandit, With
quick rotation of his blade he decapitated the man while striking
at the next man, the blade cutting clean through the collar bone
deep into the torso of the bandit.

His blade lodged deep into the spine of the bandit, and with a
massive tug the lifeless body rose into the air, only to come
crashing down hard upon the ground as Thiumir frantically tried to
release his blade from the lifeless corpse but to no avail.

A flash of shock overcame him as a spearhead dug deep into the
side of Thiumir. An anguishing cry escaped his lips in rage as
he relinquished his sword to the tomb of the corpse, and grabbed
upon the shaft of the spear, removing it from his body and with
a quick thrust, pulled it from the hands of the bandit. With
a giants strength, he came it crashing it down upon the head of
the bandit, the shaft of the spear bending with great strain as
the tip spear sliced through the skull, cutting deep into his
head.

The lifeless body collapsed in a heap into the ground, and as he
attempted to remove the spear, he became overwhelmed by a feeling
not much different from that of motion sickness. His senses began
to dull, his vision became misted over by an unescapable cloud.
A dull stinging sensation was felt in his lower back, and again
in his leg and soon what felt like a dozen bee stings covered
his body. His limbs became heavy as the spear fell from his hands,
and he collapsed upon his knees. His last sight was upon his brother,
who fell to the ground as dozens of bandits overwhelmed him.

Then he was overcame by darkness as his unconscious body fell
to the ground with a dull thud.

Chapter 2

His eyes came groggily open, a blur of surroundings overwhelmed him
as he was unable to get his bearings. His head pounded with every
beat of his heart, his very pulse a thunderous noise threatening to
overwhelm his thoughts and very consciousness.

With one hand holding his head, the other bracing the cold stone wall
behind him. he attempted to rise, but massive shackles that were
unnoticed upon his wrists and ankles prevented any such undertaken.

His brother lay collapsed in a heap across from him. various wounds
could be sighted across his body, and with each difficult breath, his
body convulsed in pain.

Thiumir feebly tugged at the chains that were deeply embedded into the
wall, with each tug a racket ensued as the iron rings clanged with
one another.

By the third tug, the heavy wooden door opened with sudden alarmity
and a massive fire giant came in, unleashing the chains to the walls
of Arathmor and dragged him helplessly out of the room.
Screams could be heard echoing throughout the walls for hours upon
hours, anxiety, rage boiled deep within Thiumir as uncertainty sank
in with the unknowing condition of his brother.

Finally afters hours, Arathmor was dragged back into the room, his
body a blood heap of torn flesh, and shards of bones thrusted
through various limbs.

The large fire giant turned turned to Thiumir and with an onslaught
of punches to Thiumir, he lapsed into unconsciousness.

He awoke to be greeted by a bright light above him. His wrists and
ankles were chained upon a table as he lay helplessly at the whim
of his captors. Two men approached the table on either side, and
the hair on the back of Thiumirs neck rose with the sudden
recognition of one thing. Magic coursed through the air around
them.

Role

Chapter 1

"Ah yes, this one shall be a fine test subject, let us hope he lasts
longer then the other."

For hours he was tortured upon. His very flesh, bones, and organs
thrusted about in agony as they was contorted and thrusted. The
other cruelly involved himself with dark rituals upon Thiumir. It
was only the strength within that he was able to handle the torture,
the pain.

For days he and his brother were victim to their rituals of torture
at the hands of the magi. With each day strength fleeted from their
muscles, they had to make there escape before it was to late. Upon
the fourth day they planned their escape for when the giant came for
them. Feigning unconscious, they awaited until the shackles were
removed from Arathmor, when he suddenly came awake, grasping the keys
from the fire giant he tossed them to Thiumir as he engaged the giant.

Thiumir frantically attempted to unshackle himself from the chains,
but as the last shackle fell to the ground, he witnessed the giant
cast the lifeless body of his brother aside. Crumpling into a heap
upon the ground.

With an unspeakable rage, Thiumir grasped the long shackles and began
swinging at the giant. With each blow the giants skull caved in
more and more until his head was an unrecognizeable lump of flesh.

The two magi met a similiar fate as their bodies were crushed into
an unrecognizeable lump of flesh and blood.

Thiumir escaped the confinements of his makeshift prison, and swore
vengeance upon those of the land who enslaved themselves to magic,
and swore that he would find the strength within himself to hunt
each and everyone of them.
