Golron Tul'lunka the Unyielding Fist, Marshall of the Fortress
DescriptionThe dwarf before you stands at just under five feet when he is standing tall. His arms seem to hang just below his waist and resemble branches of a large tree in their width. His legs are similar to his arms in many ways, yet resemble two tree trunks as they are much wider and larger then his arms. His skin is an incredible bronze in colour and seems to glimmer when the light shines upon it. His eyes however contrast his skin in that they are a sparkling deep ocean blue. His large pure white bushy eyebrows do nothing but help his eyes stand out, and could be easily mistaken for two large albino rats in their size. His beard however could be mistaken for nothing else. It stretches from his ears down the edge of his jaw and covers from below his nose down to around his knees. It too is a pure white in colour and is so pale that it appears more like a curtain of snow then hair. It seems well kept in its appearance and does not seem to have anything stuck within. As you look upon his face with a little more scrutiny you can make out against his skin small runes tattooed all over his face. On each cheek he has a large rune covering from just below his eye down to just above his beard, the tattoo on each cheek is different. The runes seem to become easier to see the longer you look upon them. Looking closer upon his right cheek, within the spaces of the large rune you can just make out the shape of two little tear drops below the corner of his right eye.

RoleChapter 2 The dreams Added Mon Mar 29 11:10:48 2004 at level 40:The dreams first started when I had just learnt to walk and have only recently stopped. They started off as dreams I really enjoyed, I would go to sleep and awaken lying on the top of a gigantic mountain. The view would go for miles upon miles, there were no clouds in the skies, no harsh winds wipping at my barely clothed skin, and I would never feel cold there. They stayed much like that for years, I would be on the mountain an see all sorts of life go by. Birds would through the air, large animals would prowl the grass lands sprawled beneath me, and the forests grew ever thicker. About the time my family showed me how to swing ones pick with the most strength is when my dreams started to change. I could feel something was starting to go wrong. Nothing was too apparent at the time from my mountain perch, sitting in the skies, but the atmosphere changed. Each night the feeling of doom started to spread. I would see flock, upon flock or birds racing away from the east, headed as fast as they could across the lands. Each night they would do it again, and each night it started to get a tiny bit more chill, wether it was my surroundings or merely what I was feeling I will not know. A few years after things started to go wrong, I would not only feel but I could see something far to the east. It was like a large billowing smoke rising from the eastern coast. Each night it grew ever so little, but day after day it spread, and grow it did. I remember the night after I first went into the mines I could hear the screeches. The cloud had been gathering and was starting to cover almost a third of all I could see. Not just birds were fleeing it, but packs of animals could be seen running, running as far and as far west as they could, trying to escape what was coming. It started to tear me up, and sadden me at the same time. All these animals, all this life was being threatened and destroyed and I could do naught but watch. Each night it bit into me more, started to wear away at me. I dared not tell my parents because I knew they wouldn't understand. They would think me less of a dwarf. So I braved this alone. As it was nearing the birthday of my third decade the cloud had all but engulfed the lands, nothing was left, and from my perch I could see through the cloud. There was nothing, not just no animals, but no life. No trees, no grass, no birds, no deer, there weren't even any rats. I could sense the land had all but given up, it could no longer live under such stress. I was distraught. My birthday should have been a joyous occassion of ale and spit roasts, but it wasn't. Many remarked at my pale appearance that year and worried I had drunk some bad ale. If only they knew the horrow I had been witnessing. I tried to avoid everyone and just mourn, but they would not leave me alone, so I feined being sick so I could go and rest. As I fell into slumber I awoke on the mountain, yet this time not alone. There was a huge dwarf dressed in the finest armor I had ever seen, silver chainmail covered most of his body, while there were large shoulder pads of silver with glowing runes engraved upon them. In the middle of his chest stood a triangle of silver, pointing down, which held an engraving of a large single peaked mountain with a red engraving of a bright fire within it. His he

Immortal CommentsMon Apr 5 00:48:55 2004 by 'Shokai' at level 44 (110 hrs): took out Nynncynno....given that Ninny preys upon the weakest with gangs, I applaud this...if he continues actions like this, I smell promotion and good stuff
Thu Jun 17 22:49:52 2004 by 'Shokai' at level 51 (289 hrs): See, toldja good stuff was coming. Is now the Marshall
Tue Jun 22 10:35:43 2004 by 'Velkurah' at level 51 (301 hrs): Markow was trash-talking Celebrimbor to a bunch of Maran. Gorlon didn't really respond. Sent him a dream about the Fort not respecting him OR Celebrimbor anymore. He handled it well from there.
Tue Jul 6 09:17:02 2004 by 'Khasotholas' at level 51 (330 hrs): Fights crazy odds, when his gear sucks. Much more careful when he has gear. Not sure I like that.
Wed Jul 21 00:35:28 2004 by 'Arvam' at level 51 (359 hrs): This genius is blind, beating the crap out of Bazrak blind. He was writhing. He throws down and tries to stun instead, missing a fairly sure kill.
Fri Jul 23 19:49:24 2004 by 'Arvam' at level 51 (367 hrs): For what it's worth though, this guy really is sticking it out, and I dig him on the whole.
Sat Jul 24 01:09:32 2004 by 'Shokai' at level 51 (367 hrs): Gets whacked a lot, but keeps on ticking...kinda like a rolex in the hands of a clutz. I still dig him though
Wed Jul 28 10:58:09 2004 by 'Lyristeon' at level 51 (387 hrs): He does die a lot, but I will give him props for not giving up. Most people would have a long time ago.
Tue Aug 3 10:24:31 2004 by 'Khasotholas' at level 51 (423 hrs): Just informed Acaga, a fire giant villager, that Laes raided the Fortress. Asking an evil for help defending the Fortress... oh my.
Tue Aug 3 15:31:55 2004 by 'Velkurah' at level 51 (426 hrs): Seems to do a good job from what I've seen. Also, I didn't know a character could have that many pk losses! Talk about sticking it out.
Tue Aug 17 21:53:24 2004 by 'Qaledus' at level 51 (478 hrs): Nice job killing Blitzenturt!

RoleChapter 1 The runes Added Tue Jun 1 09:20:30 2004 at level 51:It had been a good 175 years since I had dreamed of anything to do with the mountain of my youth. Yet still I went on as I was meant. Yet this night was different. I fell asleep as I usually do, clothed ready for battle, yet it was not like this that I woke on the mountain. I awoke on the peak of the mountain once more, alone, and wearing nothing but a large loin cloth covering my privates and an axe forged from shimmering light in each hand. As I stood there looking over the lands, the majority of which were still covered in the dark cloud, a chill wind picked up and struck me. As I looked around for its source another dwarf slowely emerged out of nowhere. It was the same dwarf from my last dream more then 175 years ago. He stood there watching me yet again, as if it were the first time he had done so. He looked me up and down, this time nodding his head slightly to me, as in acceptance.
"Yah know Golron, yah done us proud. An ahm proud ta tell yah that yah 'ave already earned a place amongst tha 'alls. Yah name be spoken amongst tha mountains, yah kin everywhere be talkin of yah, of yah deeds an what yah be doin. An yah know what kin? They be proud, they all be proud. Yah be openin their eyes, an now they be seein what tha dreams showed yah. There aint much more we could 'ave 'oped fer. Kin, ah would be proud ta 'ave been able ta go ta war with yah by me side."
The way he looked at me, it reminded me of my father, then of my mother, and of everything I had given up in my hunt. When I looked up at him again I think he realised, he walked towards me and placed a gauntleted hand upon my shoulder.
"Kin, be lookin at me. Yah done more then most folk will ever do. Yah gave up yah 'ome, yah kin, an everythin yah knew fer somethin that might not even 'ave 'appened in yah lifetime. Fer that ah got nothin but sadness in me 'eart. Yet yah did it with not one doubt in yah 'eart. Be listenin ta me, it aint over, this aint goin ta be quick an it aint goin ta be fun, but yah know now as well as ah that it 'as ta be done. Kin, we been watchin yah, we been keepin an eye on yah. We 'ave seen yah fall, we 'ave seen yah get back up on yah feet, ready yah axes an get back to it. An we know yah body be startin fall apart from bein beaten, even though yah flame be burnin as bright as ever. So we came ta yah tonight ta bestow on yah somethin tha should 'elp. Somethin that be goin ta keep yah goin an protect yah from what yah aint able ta do yahself. This be goin ta 'urt Kin, but ah got trust in yah that yah can be 'andlin it."
With that I saw many dwarves come out of the air slowly in a circle around me. Every one of the dwarves was dressed in ceremonial armours. There were dwarves clad in platemails akin to those worn many generations ago, chainmails not worn since the age of kings, everything about them seemed almost unreal. Their clothing was breathtaking, yet their weapons were even more so. These weapons were not the weapons of man, they were the work of the gods themselves. Even a dwarf would not have been able to forge such a weapon, yet these dwarves carried them as if they were forged by their own hands. These weapons seemed strong enough to cut a mountain in two with one strike, yet I knew now that their time in battle was long over, they were the mark of the ch
