Chapter 3

Synoria is a daughter of the mass of fringe nobility which orbits around
the King of Darsylon. Her house has never been powefull, or for that matter
the slightest bit famed, however birth into it, did allow Synoria a childhood most
other elves would consider priviliged. She was raised to believe in the classical
elven beliefs, namely reverence of the light and the king, and the somewhat conceited
belief in elven superiority, and the obligations that brings. Oddly for a
noble lady, Synoria's greatest dream as a youngster was to raise to high
station within the military of her King, so on maturity she immediately enlisted.
Here she gained her initial training in the sword, studying under the royal
forces teachers in the bladesong. She was a apt study, and quickly qualified for
advanced studies. This is were her potential to become a paladin was discovered, and
her training changed to reflect this.

Synoria is something of a cliche, in that she is the product of the elven
taining regime. She is incredibly pious and loyal to her king and people. She
is still a soldier of the royal army, though given a lot of leeway due to her
desire to venture into the world and spread the good word. She is also
rather conceited, in that she does believe the elves are the highest folk
of Thera...she does however believe that brings an obligation to guide and
protect the less fortunate folk. Her beliefs are not malicious, though others
often find them infuriating. On her first visit to Voralian she managed to offend
several high knights by brightly calling the Voralian order a quaint reflection
of her kings organisation. In her defense, she meant this as a compliment.

Synoria is a strict student of the code, and will never hesitate to inform
another paladin, that the code is of elven origin ( if this is true or not, is
irrelevant really) and thus the way they SHOULD be behaving. While all this
may make young Synoria sound a self inflated prig, she is actually a genuinely
caring person, who says these things because she actually wants to help people.
Synoria lives to serve, to serve her god and her king, but mainly to serve the light.
She quickly forms deep and binding connections to those around her, bringing
a deep desire to see them do well, and be safe. While this often comes out in
a way that said people find patronising, her feelings are very genuine.

Chapter 2

Synoria is, as mentioned, the product of very highly refined training
process. As a result of this, she thinks in ways most people would consider slightly
skewed. Synoria knows, she has a great destiny. She knows, she is the future of the
elves. She knows she is the Champion of Light who preaching the Word of Light, as the
Hand of Corrlaan, will carry the Elven Kings Banner. Synoria can think in capitals.

This belief is what drives her, leading her into acts many would often consider
extreme or reckless. She has little to no regard for her personal safety, if she
believes her act will serve the Light.

To put it another way, there are many similarities between Synoria and a
mythical Joan, a fabled lady knight from a fantasy world. The main difference being
she can, and has interacted with divine beings and can do things like lay hands.
She is utterly driven in a not quite rational way to be what she dreams she is.

Chapter 1

**The following is a part of a letter, Synoria sent her father**

I dreamt I walked the Azure fields, with the Archon. He was holding my hand, I
recall the feel of his touch vividly. We sat by a pond formed of liquid light and he
began to instruct me. The voice of the god filled me, and I was changed. I believe
this was a true sending, the first time he layed his hand upon me. At the time I
was a child, yet I recall the dream with a vivid perfection. Every night since then, I
have walked with my Lord in my dreams.

For his purpose do I strive, for his glory be all my works. Let the banner of light, that
I carry, marked proudly with that righteous seal of our light blessed king, be held
in a hand that serves his will!

**This is of course, a lot of drivel. It does however give an example of how she thinks**
