Chapter 5

It is unknown from where Jil inherited his uncanny habits of greed. His
mother would tell you he was born with it. He would always be the first to
suckle and the longest to stay of his three brothers. And always the same
unholy toothed bite at the end of each period, with his snickering and glib
look of evil towards her. Yes, she would say he had to be demon-spawn, if
she didnt know any better. He grew quicker then his brothers, he was
craftier. He was smarter, and more daring. It was no surprise to anyone in
his immediate family, or in the village for that matter, when Jil disappeared
without a trace by the age of 12. Everyone took his departure fairly well,
considering he made off with the entire savings of his family for the year,
as well as the savings of his three neighbors. No, they didnt look twice at
his passing from their village, they just gave a collective sigh of relief,
and moved on.

He took to the road and immediately fell victim to a duo of bandits. They
beat him senseless and took the majority of everything in his pack and
pouches, then left him with these words. Qaledus make you swifter next time,
my furred friend. Now, at this time, Jil could have given up.He could
have turned tail, run home, and been hesitantly welcomed back. He *could*
have joined ranks with the bandits of the frigid wastelands as he had
originally planned. But the fact that these two beat him senseless, stole his
things, and then had the audacity to call him slow truly irked him. It was
because of this irking, that Jalix got off his furred ass, glared at the
world, gathered his things, brushed himself off, and learned to sneak, hide,
and slink.

He quickly adapted to life on the road, and became relatively good at hunting
and foraging. All the while, he glared at the world around him, stole a
dagger, cut a few purses, cut a few throats, and quickly became a natural
born killer. Jil learned to avoid the guard, or anyone with a sword bigger
than his own. Eventually after learning survival skills, he worked his way
towards Galadon, paying a small fee and taking up residence in a rat infested
hovel. Always with his eye on the prize, he managed to ignore his shoddy
quarters and began training in a local dojo..for another small fee. During
this time he learned how to interact with the citizens of Galadon. He
learned to bribe, cheat, lie, swindle, con, and otherwise service the
outstanding citizens of that fair city.He learned many roles very quickly.
The handicapped, the poor, the wealthy, the unlucky, the trader, the thief,
the mercenary, and the assassin. He slipped into each role like a whore into
bedsheets..but with less of a mess to clean up after.

He learned how to manipulate, he learned to conceal his true identity, and he
learned to always seek more then what he had while using others to gain it.
He moved up from where he was, but never swiftly enough to bring unwanted
attentions upon himself. He became an outstandingly immoral and unlawful
neer-do-well, and moves his way up in the world accordingly.

Chapter 4

Jil very quickly grew in the guild of assassins, hoping to impress his
guildmaster and learn more swiftly than the rest of his fellows. He
understands that the tools of his craft are very important, and by honing
them to perfection he could very well be the best assassin to walk the lands.
that he wants the infamy, mind you, he much prefers to stay unknown,
veiled in a cloak of mystery and inspiring fears in those he would do harm.
He is very greedy and enjoys the baubles he takes from his foes immensely.
He begins to wonder what more their could be to life, whether the Imperials
have it right, with their rules and regulations..or if Eternal Darkness and a
land of Nightwalkers suits him better. He is leaning more towards the
second, figuring that with evil beings going around the world and destroying
everything, it would be better to invite them in and be a part of the
pillaging and killing than against the wave of darkness that is fabled to
shadow the entire land.For now though, he seeks only to master his craft of
assassination and inspire the fear of such skill in everyone and anyone.

Chapter 3

Having had time to observe his foes, he found severe hypocrisy in the Imperial ranks and decided
that if he joined the bigots he would swiftly find himself among the ranks of the Anathema.
He will join the Scions of the Eternal Night after his guild master has determined he can learn nothing more
from his assassinating techniques, and not before. He understands that flawlessness in the skill is of utmost
importance in gaining a gross advantage over his enemies. He isn't quite sure whether or not the portals will
ever be opened to the nightwalkers, or that he actually cares. But he does know that should he help assist the
nightwalkers in dominating the world, the rewards would outweigh the punishment in having resisted the takeover.
Besides, again, what do uppity mages care for trinkets, baubles, and countless heaps of gold and treasures? He sure does.
They get the books, he gets the gold and fine weapons. It sounds like a fair trade off to him, for now he seeks
to remain concealed, keep his intentions vague, and hone his craft to perfection still.

For the first time in his life he has given thought to religion, to a greater power. After sorting through several
blasphemous thoughts by most standards, he realized that Qaledus held his ideals in utmost regard, and seeks to become
something of a 'business associate' with the god, seeking to have the Lord watch over him, in return he feels he might
bring a bit of infamy and notoriety to the Lord's name, if not a lot of gold and powerful artifacts to his collection.

Chapter 2

After much patience and many years of stealth and killing, Jil mastered his craft of assassination. It wasn't long after before he spoke with Igbah and was immediately brought in and made a Scion of the Eternal Night.

Since then, nothing much has changed other than an extreme annoyance with Outlanders and nature as a whole has developed. He is still greatly amused by the helplessness of others and seeks to inspire fear in the lives of the general population
whenever possible. He feels the urging of others for him to 'grow more powerful' as they put it, and will certainly do so, in his own time.

Chapter 1

After Thera trembled and shook for a week of the Gods time, Jil woke four days after to find himself
no longer a Scion. He raised an eyebrow and shrugged slightly, and went off to do a bit of
business elsewhere for a bit. Upon resurfacing, Jil was happy to see that many had forgotten
his ability and did not keep their guards up, and he enjoys the prospect of bringing death,
chaos, and destruction to others. So much in fact, that after being offered to become a disciple of
the long forgotten god Zurcon, he agreed and continues to plot ways to return the God to this world.
