Corriann the Affirmation of Life, the Hopelessly Lost

Chapter 2

My name is Corriann, a high elven maiden who seeks to heal and
protect the innocent, in the lands against the darkness. Hear my
story below for a tale to be told.

Lady Corriann was raised in Darsylon, within the palace. She is
a high elf of the royal palace. She is more known as Princess
Corriann, but titles mean little to her. As she grew she left
the safety confines of the palace walls and made her new home
in Galadon.

One day while meditating in the healers guild of Galadon she was
brought out of her deep meditation by shrilling scream of children.

Due to the shock of the events unfolding Corriann's ears were as numb
as the rest of her body. For what seemed to her as days, for what
she witnessed was an act of cruelty, senseless murder upon several
children of Galadon. The acts of darkness as the drows and fire giants
slew one by one the innocent blood of child became a river that only slowly
receeded.

The hours into days, she was within a silent and dark void, alone
but for the saddness that stormed throughout her veins. She could hear
nothing but the strange voice that spoke to her in her solitude. To whom
the voice belonged was not among her concerns, for her saddness drove her
to a single consideration, that of compassion and mercy. Had she considered
the voices owner, perhaps she would have thought it as her own madness, or her
own thoughts made clear, or even the voice of the Archon God himself revealing
to her through divine revelation what things she must do. But her focus was
on her saddness alone, and she thought none of these.

Her attention returned to her compassionate self, but now she sought to apply
her protection unto others through her dedication to Lord Corrlaan. She was
aware that mere saddness and anger would avenge no one. Action was now required.
She strained her mind, and soon the sound of the physical world began to
surface. She could hear but softly, she could hear the shouts of men and women,
bathed in the light of the Fortress. The clamor of combat she could hear soldiers
of the light dying! In agony and hatred she grieved once more.

A voice echoed in his head "Good! You have restored the stern of your form.
Now the kneel! Quickly!"

A divine holy presence overwhelmed Corriann as she struggled to regain her
strength. With her shield in her right hand, she proceeded through a golden
arch. Another echo enters his mind "Your needed Corriann to heal, protect,
and with compassion and dedication I will come to you, if you
seek it, Corriann".

As she passed through the Arch a warm sensation filled her body as her mind
and body became healed. A Echo repeats itself "Cure the plague of darkness
and make wrongful acts right once again, but remember to be merciful when
you cast judgement".

The voice in her mind finally fades, and Corriann smiles, and stands up
blows her elven horn to announce in her intent to aid the light the lands,
and protect the innocent from the darkness and bring forth mercy to the darkness,
and wrong-doers of these great lands. So the warmth within her is restored,
her hearing and focus is set as her dedication to Archon Lord is instilled
within her her body, mind and spirit.

Chapter 1

Being a scribe for what seemed like ages and NOT being promoted begun to
wear on me and I begun to lose my focus. I started to hear dark voices
for several weeks. Many in which stated the fortress is just using you and
when the time comes for yourself in need I would be adbandoned and forgotten.
I resisted and resisted the dark voice's influence for ages. One day it
finally occured. The dark voices mind games kept attacking me personally
my faith and focus suffered greatly. I have been speaking with Captain Mizfara
for many many months now on these voices. He listened and urged me to not
allow these voices to afflict me and wear me down. But it seems the advise was
was not in time as the darkness and its voices have finally wore me
down.

I was eventually removed from the Fortress by Captain Mizfara. I was not
angry for my dismissal as it was done for medical reasons. In which
I now try and resolve. My patron Lord Corrlaan spoke with me an evening
ago, and it was determined the plague the dark voice consumed with
too away my purpose and clarity. I however felt better inside and outside
for many years since I was afflicted by the dark voices influence.
My action I did was to remove this plague by ridding me of the bad aura
around me personally, that was done by taking my own life. By doing so
the dark voices ceased, and I felt anew once again. However Lord Corrlaan
said "damage has been done to my faith, and he'll watch me closely as I
grow to regain my lost purpose and clarity of such.

another day, and I met with Maran Cyruil, whom promised to aid, and guide
me back to the point where I will see things clearly once again. He also
believes soon I will be back within the Fortress as an Acolyte.

I give my trust and devotion to Maran Cyruil to aid me in returning
to the Fortress and more important within the grace of Lord Corrlaan.

A deep whisper enters my mind "You'll find your way back, just remain
focused my child."

So it begins a new start and renewing my oath and faith within the
Archon Lord.
