Chapter 6

Entry 1:

Dear Father.

I've been punshed again today, this is the third time in this
week. Apparently I need to sugarcoat my opinions of the new
hopefulls in the guild, even if I think their conviction is
weak. I was approached by the head master of the guild today
and told it was soon time for me to seek out a deity and recive
his blessing before I can continue growing as one of the swords
of the light. This excite me a great deal, since it means it's
finally time to start redeeming our blood line.

I've shown strength, skill and conviction in my training, father.
I've decided to follow the path of strength through knowledge
in my quest to cleanse my blood. Many of my friends in he guild
battle evil, without fully understanding it's lure on so the
people. I will seek out the evil and slaughter it as I have
been thought, but I will also try to learn as much as I can of
the taint so I may know how to better avoid its grasp taking
hold, as it did with you.

My blood is boiling with the tainted bloodline you left me
with, the feel of it fuel my conviction.

Chapter 5

Entry 2:

Dear Father.

I approached Lady Yean today, father. We talked for quite a while
about the path i've chosen for myself. I came to realise that I
am merly your shadow, I am not my own person. With this realization
I now understand what I must do. Father, I am not abandoning your
memory, I am still your blood, I am still your son. I will do my
battle and and learn how to avoid the trapdoors of darkness that
always creek under my feet. But I must move out of your shadow
and become a man who seek his own destiny in life. The result
will be the same in the end, our bloodline will be pure once more.
My children will see a strong and wise elf, who faught his battles
and resisted the taint. Not one who spent his life making futile
attempts at fighting his way out of the shadows of past sins.

Chapter 4

Entry 3:

Dear Father.

I was asked to take up a trade I would like to hone. If I am ever to
fully understand the strong lure of the dark ways, I need understand
those that have embraced it fully. I will dedicate time to the study
and lore of the places in Thera where darkness have complete reign
over the minds of the inhabitants. Dedicating time to the study of
what fuel the unclenchable thirst for power at the cost of their
souls, will eventually aid my knowledge of how to battle it and
avoid its tug in the back of my mind.

I had a thought today regarding the people who embrace the dark..
those who walk the evil path has taken the easy way out.

Father, one of the codes I must follow.. to be fair of speech. Ive
decided that I must never ever lie. Even if it means telling a
friend or ally something he might not like to hear. I've met to
many people who have decided to venture about the lands, who are
much more suited for a quiet village life as a farmer. Their lack
of strength will get them, and perhaps me, killed before our time.

Chapter 3

Entry 4:

Dear Father.

This will be a short letter to you, but I am having an issue with Siphana
the leader of the Acolytes. When Siphana is about she insist on aiding me
in every way she can, and even if I asked her to not do this she said that
it is something I must accept as part of the fortress. I will never accept
her aid though, if it is possible to avoid it. Since I can not order her
to stay away, I will not trust the cabal when she is about. When I fell
while defending the fortress, she tried to give me money to get me back
on my feet, even if I earlier told her I wished no aid what so ever. I
will seek guidance from Lady Yean on this issue.

Father, I have been fighting fiercly and with honor. There is much evil
out there, and many strong enemies. May my sword strike true and slice
the darkness assunder!

Chapter 2

Entry 5:

Dear Father.

Father, much have happened since I talked to you last. I was
removed from the fortress because of my strong belief in
the teachings of Lady Yean, but it has to be mentioned that
I was accepted back after some things was discusses and
sorted out. The issue revolved around my relationship with
Siphana, whom I have mentioned to you earlier.

This whole ordeal has left me with a sour taste in my mouth,
and I have decided that I have no interested in gaining the
friendship of all in the fortress. They are my allies, and
I would protect them with my life, but some will stay allies
and perhaps never be called a friend.

Father, I must mention that I have also attained the peak
of the guild of paladins. My guildmaster has put the trust
in me and learned me all he can. The Lady has also blessed
me with temperance, with this gift I have gained self-control
and restrain in my actions. Meaning I defend myself extremly
well, and thus are better suited to take the front of battle
and stand between the light and the darkness. But this new
knowledge has come at the price of my combat potency,
leaving me less able to slay those I fight.

Where do I see myself in the future? I will continue to seek
the guidance of Lady Yean, and seek the knowledge that will
further my holy crusade. I will seek the acceptance of the
patrons of the fortress, and prove to them that I am worthy
of being accepted as a maran.

Dear Father.

I have been promoted to a full maran by the patrons
of the fortress! But I have decided to seek further
acceptance, and reach for the position as Marshall
besides Daichyl.
